Verve July Release Spotlight Hops - Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's July Release Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Fill My Cup stamp set. This set also coordinates with the Happiness in a Cup Die Set we shared yesterday.  If you've come from visiting Wanda, you're in the right place!!  I think this set is pretty sweet!  I LOVE that it coordinates with the Happiness in a Cup Die Set set as well!!  I only used the stamp set for this card though.  I thought this sentiment was perfect for clean, simple and happy card complete with sunshine, clouds and a summer feel.  I used papers from the Sunny Days Ahead Collection from Echo Park.  The cloud and sun was stamped, colored, cut out and then mounted to the card with foam tape.  Next on today's hop is Marisa!!  Thanks for stopping by!!

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Happiness Is stamp set and coordinating Happiness in a Cup Die Set.  If you've come from visiting Wanda, you're in the right place!!  I decided to go clean and simple with this set.  I just LOVE the die cut "happiness".  It just makes me happy and I wanted it to stand out on the card.  As far as the "teensy bit of silence". . .anyone with multiple kids would understand!  ;)  When I stamped the sentiment, I inked it up with a medium blue ink and then just inked up the bottom parts of the sentiment with a deeper blue to get the ombre look.  I LOVE how the mug looks distressed. . . and that's all part of the stamp!  How cool is that?!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Next on today's hop is Marisa!!

Verve's July Release Spotlight Hops - Day 1

If you came from visiting Wanda, you're in the right place!!  I think the Always Time set and Kettle Time Die Set is adorable!!  It's perfect for sending those "just because" cards!  I love that I can stamp my images on patterned paper, like I did for this card and then die cut them with the coordinating dies!  No fussy cutting needed!  :)  The papers are from the We Are Family Collection from Echo Park.  Next on today's hop is Marisa!!  Thanks for stopping by and good luck on some shiny new Verve!!

Verve May New Release Spotlight Hop!

If you're coming from visiting Julee, you're in the right place!  I have two card today using the NEW Butterfly Grace set along with the coordinating Graceful Butterflies die set.  I just think this set is beautiful!  I love the different butterflies, the beautiful sentiments. . .and the coordinating dies make it even better!

I stamped and die cut each butterfly.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed.  The papers are from the Sugar Chic Collection by Heidi Swapp.  I also used this week's Mojo Monday Sketch for my first card!

My second card is more on the simple side.  The papers are from the We Are Family Collection from Echo Park.  I used the tiny butterfly die from the die set for this card as well.  They are just SO sweet! Both cards have some Shine Bright Sequins for some sparkle.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Next on today's hop is Christyne!!

Let Your Dreams Take Flight

Hi there!  Today Taylored Expressions is partnering up with Word Art Wednesday for their weekly challenge!!  Taylored Expressions is sponsoring a $25 Gift Certificate to the TE Store, so we hope you'll play along!!

When I think of word art, I think of clean and simple so that the word art is the focus.  I used the Dreams Take Flight stamp from Taylored Expressions for my card.  In order to make it stand out, I stamped and embossed it in white and then stamped it again to create a mask for the butterfly and flowers.  Once I applied the mask to the images, I sponged some Cookie Monster ink onto the cardstock.   Because the image was heat embossed, the white embossing resists the ink so that the sentiment shows up beautifully.

After removing the masks, I used markers to color in the images.  As a finishing touch, I added some Snow Flurries Sequins for some sparkle.  I hope you'll play along with the challenge!!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!!

If you came from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!  I used the My Cup To Yours Free Digital set that Julee created for my card!!  I used the colors from the inspiration piece as well as the latest Mojo Monday Sketch for my card.  I colored the coffee mugs with Copic markers and added Stardust Stickles over the mugs and the snowflake when I was finished.  Next on today's hop is Christyne!!  Thanks for stopping by and I hope you play along!!
