Passing the Torch

Well, the time has come for me to pass my AmberInk Torch!  I am thrilled to be passing my torch to Shannon Erskine!!  Shannon is a long time blog friend who creates GORGEOUS works of art!  This girl can color!!  Have you seen her work?  If not, I urge you to visit her blog and say hello!  You will LOVE everything she creates, as I do!  I had a great time carrying the torch, but I really look forward to seeing what Shannon creates during her leg!  :) 

Friendship

Today I have a card to share using an adorable digi stamp from AmberInk called Baby Mermaids: Friendship.  I just think this image is ADORABLE (did I say that?)!  I die cut the image using the Beaded Circles Nestabilities and added Dew Drops around the beaded circles of the die.  The image was colored using Copic markers.  I also used some iPaper from the store called Spin Pin Tiny.  I love this darling sentiment. . .it is SO true!

I Love Being Your Mummy

Today I have a card for you using a digital image from AmberInk.  This is from the HeyLoWeen Kiddos images and it's called Mummy's Boy.  I colored the image using Copic markers.  The paper is from one of the new iPaper's, Spider Polka Dots Brights. 

My favorite part about this card is the sentiment.  I couldn't really find room for it on the front of the card, so I put it on the inside.  I just LOVE the sentiment though!  :) 

There's another sentiment that works with this image and it's just as adorable. . .I'm glad you're my mummy!  So cute!

I used an image from the new HeyLoWeen Kiddos digi set and colored her in with Copic markers.  I created this little box that could be used for little treats, a gift card. . .anything little!  :)  We hope you'll play along with the challenge!

Pie in the Sky

I have been asked to "carry the torch" for the month of September over at AmberInk and I'm very excited!  I got to work with their digis a few months ago when they opened up shop and it was a lot of fun! 

Today I have a little sneak peek of something that's coming out at AmberInk tomorrow, September 20th! 

There is a new digi set that's all about pie called Cutie Pie: Little Things and some new ipaper to coordinate!  Another addition starting tomorrow are some recipe cards to the Cutie Pie line!  Cutie Pie: Recipe Card!  They're great since you can resize them to fit your recipe card file! 

I made my recipe card that size of a 4.25"x5.5" card so that I could slip it in there. . .possibly for a recipe swap or something like that!

Amber Ink Grand Opening!!

Welcome to the Amber Ink Grand Opening Blog Frolic! Today the Amber Ink store officially opens its doors, and you are invited to hang out with us! Amber invited me to join the celebration along with the Brilliant th(Ink)Tank Girls, and we're all excited to show you the new products. So get ready to drool!

I kind of went crazy creating with the Baby Mermaids set.  I just think it's the cutest thing!  I've never really used DigiStamps before (other than just printing out an image), so I had a blast creating these scenes in Photoshop!  To create the scenes in my projects, I used the Baby Mermaids set along with the Make a Scene set.  I made a layered file in Photoshop Elements and when I liked the "scene", I printed it out and created my projects.  The first is a journal set for my daughter.  She LOVES to write and draw and always wants a new notebook or journal.  I thought this little mermaid image would be perfect!  Isn't she adorable?

Along with the journal, I created a bookmark that allows the mermaid to "peek" out of the top of the book.

And this Starfish. . .just the cutest!!!  Isn't he?  The patterned paper I used on the following two cards is some of the iPaper available at Amber Ink! 

Isn't this image of the "baby" oyster adorable too?  I just love all of the images in this set!
