Gratitude

It's no secret that I LOVE clean and simple cards.  They are, by far, my favorite type of card, so when I see an embossing folder/background stamp coordinating duo like this, I just HAVE to have it!  :)  This is the Stripes and Frame Stamp & Emboss set from Sizzix for Hero Arts.  How simple is this card?  All I did was stamp the background (stripes) and line it up in the coordinating embossing folder and it gives it all this wonderful texture!  It even makes it look like the sentiment is a layered panel!  The sentiment is from the Spiral Bouquet set from Papertrey Ink.  This card took all of 10 minutes to make. . .and that's only because I couldn't decide on a ribbon treatment.  Now that the card design is decided, I could mass produce this card in no time!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great weekend!

Happy Everything

Here is a happy little card with happy colors! I used the Sunny Window Cling stamp from Stampendous, the Happy Greetings Sparkles Clear set from Hero Arts and Just Chillin' Girl paper from Making Memories. All of these products can be found at Stamper's Dream.

I used Copic markers to color the image and added some of the flower gems that come with the Hero Arts Happy Greetings Sparkles Clear set. They fit perfectly over the boxes in the stamped image. As a finishing touch, I used the small scallop border punch from EK Success for the bottom edge of the card. I hope this card makes you smile as much as it makes me smile! :) Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Happy Summer

I hope you all had a wonderful a weekend as I did. The weather was absolutely beautiful! I just LOVE summer. . .it's my favorite season. I love being able to wear shorts and lighter clothing, no coats or jackets. . .especially where the kids are concerned. They're so much easier to dress in the summer, aren't they? :)

The warm, beautiful weather this weekend inspired my card for today. Light, summery colors, sunflowers and ladybugs all mean summer to me. I used the Sunny Window cling stamp from Stampendous and the sentiment is from the Happy Greetings Sparkles Clear set by Hero Arts. I used the Large Labels Nestabilities from Spellbinders for matting the focal image and the patterned paper is from the Just Chillin' Girl Paper pad from Making Memories. All of these products can be found at Stamper's Dream. Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day! Happy Spring

Due to all of the rain we've been having lately, I thought this card would be appropriate! :) The image is Shower Chick from Stampendous and the sentiment is from the Happy Greetings Sparkle Clear set from Hero Arts. Both of these sets as well as the May Arts ribbon and Sparkly Fluff (I used Lemon Drop Yellow) can be found at Stamper's Dream. The little flower in her hair is also from the Happy Greetings Sparkle Clear set. It fit perfectly over the stamped flower. The chick looks so fluffy in real life and the sparkles in the fluff add that little adorable "extra". . .almost like glistening rain drops! :)

Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Shower Chick (Stampendous), Happy Greetings Sparkle Clear set (Hero Arts); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- white (Georgia-Pacific), Lemon Tart (PTI); Accessories- paper piercer, Lemon Drop Yellow Sparkly Fluff (Our Craft Lounge), border punch (EK Success), Copic markers, ribbon (May Arts); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Celebrate the Day

Sunday was my little cousin's birthday, so I thought I'd make her a bright, fun card. This uses the Birthday Frames set from Hero Arts. You can find it at Stamper's Dream.

It was a lot of fun to color this cupcake. You can't tell in the picture, but I added some Stardust Stickles to the "icing" and it makes it nice and sparkly. :) The paper is from the Nana's KIDS Stack from Die Cut With a View. It's one of my favorite paper stacks. I find myself using it all of the time!

You can find lots of other ADORABLE Hero Arts Clear stamps at Stamper's Dream! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Birthday Frames (Hero Arts); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Nana's KIDS Stack (DCWV), Certainly Celery (SU); Accessories- Copic markers, wide Regal Rose grosgrain, scallop border punch, Regal Rose marker (SU), Stardust Stickles; Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Happy Day!

Today's card has a bit of an odd color combo. LOL The papers are all pastels with a darker ribbon treatment. Sometimes I like to try different things rather than just the "usual". Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't decided on this one yet! :) I used the Funny Eggs image from Penny Black along with some Prism Papers. . .all of which can be found at Stamper's Dream. The Prism Papers I used are Iced Kiwi, Frosted Orange and Iced Pink.

Hope you're having a wonderful day today! The weather is supposed to be nice here today and I can't wait! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Funny Eggs (Penny Black), Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Iced Kiwi, Frosted Orange, Iced Pink (Prism Papers), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Copic markers, grosgrain, Lace Apron border punch (Fiskars); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Enjoy Every Moment

Isn't this image just adorable? It reminds me of a picture my mom had hanging in our home. It is called A Kiss For Chloe by Sarah Kay. You can find it at Stamper's Dream. When I was thinking about a sentiment to go with this image, I remembered a morning a couple of weeks ago. Isaac was up the earliest, so I brought him downstairs with me in the morning. A little later, Arwen was calling for me, so I went upstairs to get her. When I brought her down the steps, Isaac was sitting at the bottom bouncing up and down, very excited to see his sister. I put Arwen down beside Isaac and he leaned in and wrapped his arms around her for a hug, then pulled away a bit and opened his mouth wide and planted his open mouth on her lips. It was the most precious moment. . .the kind you wish you had a camera ready for! So, in memory of that moment, I thought the sentiment "enjoy every moment" would go well with this image. Maybe the next time that happens I'll have a camera ready and can make a scrapbook page using this image and sentiment!

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- A Kiss For Chloe (Stampavie), Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- K&Company, Teal Prismatics (Prism Papers); Accessories- Copic markers, paper piercer, 1 3/4" circle punch, wide Celery grosgrain (SU); Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Having a Gray Day

It's time again for the monthly Dream Team Challenge at Stamper's Dream! This month's theme was Having a Gray Day. . .to make a card using gray tones, add a splash of one color and a bit of bling. I decided to add a bit of Regal Rose for my color. I used to LOVE gray and pink color combinations, so I thought I'd go back to an old favorite. I put a little bit of bling on the cat's collar. The Black Cat stamp is by JudiKins and can be found at Stamper's Dream.

Michelle is giving away some Dreamy Treats! All you have to do is link your creation in the comments on Michelle's blog. If you upload to Splitcoaststampers, use the keyword SDDC3. We can't wait to see your creations! In the meantime, you can check out what the rest of the Dream Team came up with for this challenge:

Be Inspired #27

I had a really tough time with this week's Inspiration Challenge. I think the pattern on the scarf was throwing me off, so I decided to just go with the colors and forget the pattern! LOL I still have LOTS of last year's In Colors left. I still LOVE them! :) I used Purely Pomegranate and River Rock for this card. I used the Textile Cuttlebug folder on the background and highlighted parts of it with a white gel pen. I stamped the Watercolor Pressed Flowers by Paper Inspirations in Purely Pomegranate and River Rock for a shadow effect. The sentiment is from the Happy Greetings set by Hero Arts. You can find the stamps and the Cuttlebug folder at Stamper's Dream.

Make sure you stop by to see what Beate, Danielle Lounds, Dawn McVey, Jennifer Buck, Silke Ledlow and Susan Roberts have been inspired to create today. I'm sure they will ALL be just gorgeous! Congratulations, Shannon, on being Featured Stamper today! I chose to CASE this adorable card of Shannon's. I changed the stamps and colors and made this "Owl-oween" card using the Owl-oween clear set from Hero Arts. You can find it at Stamper's Dream! Be Inspired #23

This week's Inspiration Challenge was very crisp and clean to me. As much as I wanted to add Chocolate Chip ribbon, I refrained in order to keep the light and clean feel of the inspiration piece. I used the Bugs and Blooms set from Memory Box and the Happy Greetings set from Hero Arts. You can find them both at Stamper's Dream. I just LOVE the Bugs and Blooms set with all of its bugs, of course, but I couldn't figure out what these images were until I actually stamped them! LOL Each side of the leaf is a different stamp, so you can create a two-toned leaf. Now that I know what it is, I think I'll be using it more often! :) I added that tiny caterpillar next to the sentiment. . .did you notice him? He's so tiny and cute! Make sure you stop to see what Beate, Danielle Lounds, Dawn McVey, Jennifer Buck, Silke Ledlow and Susan Roberts have come up with for the challenge. . .I'm sure they'll all be wonderful! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Bugs and Blooms (Memory Box), Happy Greetings (Hero Arts); Paper- Crate Paper, white (Georgia-Pacific), Chocolate Chip (SU); Ink- Certainly Celery, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip (SU); Accessories- Celery wide grosgrain (SU), rhinestone brads (Darice); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Be Inspired #19

Beate is back with her weekly challenges! It has seemed like forever since I did one of these and it was probably only a month ago! LOL It was uncanny how the inspiration piece had some new In Colors in it. . .especially when Beate picked it a couple of months ago! I thought Tangerine Tango and Kiwi Kiss were perfect for this challenge. The flowers and vase stamps can be found at Stamper's Dream. The sentiment is from a Hero Arts set that can also be found at Stamper's Dream. I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see what Beate, Danielle Lounds, Dawn McVey, Jennifer Buck, Silke Ledlow and Susan Roberts have come up with for the inspiration challenge. I'm sure they'll all be fabulous! Thanks for stopping by and have a GREAT day! Dirty Inspiration

This card was for Jenn's Dirty Dare Inspiration piece. What a fun inspiration piece she posted! I started with Basic Black cardstock and used the Damask set from Inkadinkado and stamped in Whisper White Craft ink all over the background. On the scalloped oval, I stamped the sentiment from Thougtful Messages by Hero Arts in Whisper White Craft ink and one damask image in Versamark ink and clear embossed them both. The May Arts ribbon, along with the SU scallop punch and faux stitching were the finishing touches. You can find the sentiment set and May Arts ribbon at Stamper's Dream. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

FTL#5 Happy Birthday

I made this card using the Fall To Layout #5 from Clean and Simple Stamping. I love doing these sketches because they are pretty quick since they're clean and simple. I used this Cat Tails Rubber stamp from Paper Inspirations. Since the focal piece ended up being so skinny because of the image, I "filled it out" by paper piercing a box around it and adding my embellishments within the box. The sentiment is from the Happy Greetings set by Hero Arts. You can find all stamps at Stamper's Dream. Michelle has added lots of new stuff to the store too, so you might want to check it out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Cat Tails (Paper Inspirations), Happy Greetings (Hero Arts); Paper- white (Georgia-Pacific), Chocolate Chip, So Saffron (SU), orange (DCWV); Ink- Burnt Umber (Palette); Accessories- Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, More Mustard markers (SU), Sunflower Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest), paper piercer.

When I think of summer (which is my FAVORITE time of year, by the way), I think of the 4th of July, fireworks and watermelon! I LOVE watermelon. I could live on watermelon! LOL I just had to have this Watermelon Bee from Stampendous. Isn't this image adorable? The sentiment is from the Happy Greetings set from Hero Arts. You can find all of these stamps at Stamper's Dream! ETA: The Watermelon Bee is out of stock right now, but I'm sure it will be back in soon!
