Sending Warm Fuzzies

I am currently taking the Clean & Simple Card Making Class and am REALLY enjoying learning how to make the most of clean and simple cards.  My favorite kind of cards to make are clean and simple cards, but sometimes I feel like they look too simple or "boring". . .especially when I see so many gorgeous cards that have lots of layers and lots of embellishments.  I love those cards, but my brain works better with the clean and simple!  LOL

For this card, I punched the tree using an EK Success punch and mounted some patterned paper on the inside of the card with foam adhesive.  I white embossed the Hero Arts sentiment onto dark brown cardstock and adhered it across the bottom of the card.  The finishing touches were score lines on the left side and top of the card, and some irridescent bling scattered around the tree.

Thanks for stopping by!  Hope you're having a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Everyday Sayings (Hero Arts); Ink- Frost White (Colorbox); Paper- Choice Snow White (Taylored Expressions), Holly Jolly Christmas Collection (Echo Park), Dark Chocolate (PTI); Accessories- bling (Hero Arts), white embossing poweder, tree punch (EK Success);  Finished card measures 5.5"x 4.25"

Be My Valentine

I was able to play along with this week's Fall To Layout #123 on the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog.  I used the Love Notes set from Verve along with the new Jotted Heart Die.  I covered the die cut heart in pink Sparkly Fluff and added some rhinestones for sparkle!

The paper is from the Valentine Collection from WeRMemory Keepers.  I added some faux stitching to the card with a paper piercer and a white gel pen.  Super simple, but super sweet!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!  SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Love Notes (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Valentine Collection (WeRMemory Keepers); Accessories- white gel pen, paper piercer, Jotted Heart Die (Verve Stamps), rhinestones (Doodlebug);  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

Happy Holidays

As I was briefly looking through my Google Reader the other day, I saw this sketch on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog and loved it so I thought I'd play along!  Normally I would have left the card all white and just added the strip of cardstock and the circle as in the sketch, but I decided to add a bit more color and use some patterned paper for the base of the card.

I used the Penguin Pals stamp set from Taylored Expressions along with the Snow Day Project Pantry kit.  I colored the penguin using Copic markers and added some Stardust Stickles to his Santa hat.  I also used the Scalloped Eyelet Border Die for the edge of the cardstock strip.  As a finished touch, I faux stitched around the edge of card with a brown marker.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Sunday!

Happy Birthday To You!

Today I have a card for you using Fall To Layout #106 from the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog.  I used the Make a Wish set and Make a Wish Project Pantry from Taylored Expressions.  I thought the busy patterned paper would be perfect for this layout.  I stamped the balloons and then die cut them using the Make a Wish Balloon Dies.  I added some faux stitching and used my Scor-Bug to create the "embossed stitching" across the top of the card.
Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a fabulous Friday!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Make a Wish (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Tuxedo Black, Ladybug Red (Memento); Paper- Make a Wish Project Pantry (TE); Accessories- Make a Wish Balloon Dies, Baker's Twine (TE), Chocolate Chip marker, paper piercer;  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

CAS Little Things

Today I have a card using the latest Fall To Layout from the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog.  I used my long time favorite Papertrey Ink set, Little Lady.  I stamped the ladybugs in Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet ink.  I added some glitter to the dots on the ladybugs and as a finishing touch, I used my ScorBug to create the "embossed stitching" across the top and bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Sending You Smiles

Here's a card using Fall To Layout 90 from the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog.  I used the Sensational Stems set from My Time Made Easy and a Verve sentiment from the Thoughtful Florals set (still one of my absolute favorites).  You know when I saw this ladybug, I HAD to have this set!  LOL  What's so great about this set is that the ladybug pieces also make a flower!  How cool is that?

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Sensational Stems (MTME), Thoughtful Florals (Verve); Ink- Tuxedo Black, Rose Bud, New Sprout (Tsukineko); Accessories- Tiny Twinkles (Taylored Expressions), ribbon (Papertrey Ink), paper piercer, corner chomper;  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

All the Goodness of Life

This week is sure flying by!  I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  Today's card uses Fall To Layout 85 from the Clean and Simple Stamping blog.  I used a scrap of patterned paper from my scrap bin. . .and it was near the bottom!  LOL  I used one of the newest releases from Taylored Expressions, Let's Do Coffee.  I used some Kraft cardstock for the card base and stamped the different coffee mugs from the set in the right corner in Sahara Sand VersaMagic.  The sentiment was stamped in Dark Brown chalk ink.

I don't know about you, but I'm really feeling this sentiment this morning!  :)  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Let's Do Coffee (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Sahara Sand (VersaMagic), Dark Brown (Fluid Chalk Ink); Paper- SU, Kraft (PTI); Accessories- Old Olive grosgrain (SU), Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest);  Finished card measures 3.5"x6.5"

You're In My Prayers

It's been a while since I've participated in one of the Clean & Simple Stamping sketches. I just LOVE them, so it was nice to have the time this morning! This is Fall To Layout 82. I used the Prayers & Blessings set from Our Craft Lounge. The paper is from the Kitchen Spice Collection from Bo Bunny. I used an EK Success border punch for the edge of the matte. Instead of stamping a sentiment in the center of the cross, again I used a flower to fill the oval so that I could use the sentiment down below. As a finishing touch, I added a double line of paper piercings.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're having a GREAT day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Prayers & Blessings (Our Craft Lounge); Ink- Burnt Umber (Palette), Fresh Snow (PTI); Paper- Kitchen Spice Collection (Bo Bunny), Prism Papers; Accessories- paper piercer, Prima flower, border punch (EK Success); Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Shiny & Bright

Today I have a nice and shiny card for you! I really liked the sketch on the Clean & Simple Stamping blog, Fall To Layout #72. I thought it would work well with the Jolly Ornaments set from Our Craft Lounge. I also used some non-Christmas paper for this card that I think works well for Christmas! It's the Indian Summer Fall Stack from Die Cut With a View. I just LOVE all the colors in this paper. I paired it with some Rich Razzleberry cardstock for this card. The non-colored ornaments are covered with Gold Stickles. The Rich Razzleberry piece of cardstock was embossed using the Candy Cane Stripe Cuttlebug folder.

Thanks for stopping by today! Hope your week is off to a great start! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Jolly Ornaments (Our Craft Lounge); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Rich Razzleberry, Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay (SU); Paper- Indian Summer Fall Stack (DCWV), Rich Razzleberry (SU), Ripe Avocado (PTI); Accessories- Gold Stickles, Candy Cane Stripe Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft); Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Naughty or Nice?

I just LOVED the Fall To Layout #60 and thought this pair of legs from the Punchy Potions set from Taylored Expressions would work perfectly! I used a sentiment from the A Year of Sweet Sentiments set. I added some Stardust Stickles to the skirt and used an EK Success border punch along the bottom.

Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Punchy Potions, A Year of Sweet Sentiments (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Halloween Key Ingredients (Taylored Expressions); Accessories- Copic markers, border punch (EK Success), Stardust Stickles, corner rounder; Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

New Verve!

Did you know that new Verve was released on Friday night? If not, you might want to head over and check out the new sets!

This bright, happy card uses the Kindred Spirits set along with Fall To Layout #47 on the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog.

The next card uses the Top Notes Die from Stampin' Up along with a butterfly that Julee sent me in some Happy Mail! I just LOVE the butterfly! The set is Just For You.

The last picture is of a card set I made using the new In Colors from Stampin' Up with the Forever in Our Hearts set. It's a simple card set that only uses one of the Just My Type Cuttlebug folders as an embellishment.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend! Thanks for stopping by today!

Take Joy

This morning as I was attempting to catch up on my blog reading, I was really inspired by the latest Fall To Layout on the Clean&Simple Stamping Blog. I decided to use some of my Flower Soft products for my card.

I started with the Garden Corners Toppers. I cut it down so that the watering can and flower pot would be centered rather than in the corner. I added Christmas Green, Shamrock Green, Baby Pink and Sunshine Yellow Flower Soft to the topper. I edged the topper with one sticker from Peel Off Sticker 309 to add a bit of elegance. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment from the Petals & Stems set by Verve Stamps and used a ruler to draw the box around the focal image.

Pretty simple card, but very elegant, I think. Thanks for stopping by today! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Petals & Stems (Verve Stamps); Ink- Ripe Avocado (PTI); Paper- Kraft (PTI); Accessories- Christmas Green, Shamrock Green, Baby Pink and Sunshine Yellow Flower Soft, Garden Corner Topper, Gold Peel Off Sticker (Flower Soft), Always Artichoke markers (SU); Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Clean and Simple Friend

This is a card I made using the Fall To Layout #39 from the Clean & Simple Stamping Blog. I just LOVED the layout. I changed it a bit to fit a stamped image rather than a button. I used the Mother's Day Key Ingredients and Downtown Diva set from Taylored Expressions. The row of piercing along the bottom edge was done using an Ornare template. I liked the look of the scalloped piercings.

This card was so quick and simple to create. . .my favorite kind! :) It's an absolutely beautiful day here today, so I think we'll be spending lots of time outside! I hope you enjoy your day too! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Downtown Diva (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Burnt Umber (Palette); Paper- Mother's Day Key Ingredients (Taylored Expressions); Accessories- Copic markers, piercing template (Ornare), scalloped border punch (EK Success), circle punches and scallop circle punch (SU), ribbon from Mother's Day Key Ingredients (Taylored Expressions); Finished card measures 3"x6"

You Make My Heart Leap

Here's a card using the latest Fall To Layout on the Clean and Simple Stamping blog. I decided to use a Rubber Soul set called Animal Love. I haven't used this set in a long while. You can find it at Stamper's Dream. I thought this image and sentiment would be perfect for a Valentine card.

I just love simple layouts that make a card quick and simple! Why don't you stamp a quick and simple card today? Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Animal Love (Rubber Soul); Ink- Regal Rose, Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- white (Georgia-Pacific), Kiwi Kiss, Regal Rose (SU); Accessories- 1 1/4" circle punch (SU), scallop circle punch (Marvy Uchida), ribbon (May Arts), paper piercer; Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

FTL#5 Happy Birthday

I made this card using the Fall To Layout #5 from Clean and Simple Stamping. I love doing these sketches because they are pretty quick since they're clean and simple. I used this Cat Tails Rubber stamp from Paper Inspirations. Since the focal piece ended up being so skinny because of the image, I "filled it out" by paper piercing a box around it and adding my embellishments within the box. The sentiment is from the Happy Greetings set by Hero Arts. You can find all stamps at Stamper's Dream. Michelle has added lots of new stuff to the store too, so you might want to check it out! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Cat Tails (Paper Inspirations), Happy Greetings (Hero Arts); Paper- white (Georgia-Pacific), Chocolate Chip, So Saffron (SU), orange (DCWV); Ink- Burnt Umber (Palette); Accessories- Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, More Mustard markers (SU), Sunflower Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest), paper piercer.

Hey Sugar!

Here's a card I made using the Clean and Simple Stamping Fall To Layout #4. I really like this layout a lot! It will be great for smaller images like this adorable little sugar bowl! After I took a picture of this card, I decided I wanted to "step it up" just a bit. . .and it didn't really even add that much time to the card. I just ran it through the Cuttlebug with the Swiss Dots folder. Which one do you like better? I think it depends on my mood, but the first one could be used for a guy and I think the second one lends itself more to a girl. I don't know, maybe not. The second one just looks more frilly to me. I used the Look Who's Perky set from Paper Pretties. Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Look Who's Perky (Paper Pretties); Paper- white (Georgia-Pacific), Soft Sky (SU); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Accessories- Copic markers, Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest)

Sending Sunshine

Here's a card I made using the Fall To Layout #3 from Clean & Simple Stamping. Other than cutting out the flowers, this card was very quick. This is a nice layout that I think I'll use quite a bit. The stamps are from the Thoughtful Messages set from Hero Arts. You can find it at Stamper's Dream.

Hope your day is off to a great start! We have a couple of doctor's appointments today, but other than that it's a pretty easy day. Oh, and it's my husband's birthday today! Happy Birthday, dear! WE LOVE YOU! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Thoughtful Messages (Hero Arts); Paper- Wild Asparagus, white (Georgia-Pacific); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Accessories- Dew Drops (The Robin's Nest), Stardust Stickles, grosgrain (Darice), paper piercer.
