I stamped and embossed the sentiment in white and then die cut some hearts using the Heart Quartet Die.  I added some faux stitching around the card using a white gel pen and some sparkles using some Shine Bright Sequins.

Come play along with the Viva la Verve Sketches!  They're a lot of fun and you can win!!  Every Friday a new sketch goes up!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday Little Monster

Hi there!  I have a card to share today that's just cute and fun.  I have had a need for quite a few birthday cards for kids lately.  I created this card using the Party Monsters set from Taylored Expressions.  I thought it would be fun to paper piece this monster and give it a crazy color!  :)

I started by stamping the monster three times.  Once on white cardstock, once on a piece of patterned paper from the Rainbow Brights 6x6 Paper Pack and again on white cardstock so that I could color in the cut out the party hat and noisemaker.  Once all the pieces were cut out, I adhered them to the original image I stamped on the white cardstock.

The background piece was embossing using the On the Spot Embossing Folder.  I painted some Stardust Stickles around the outside of the monster to give it a sparkly "glow" and finished the card by adding some Rainbow Bright Sequins and Baker's Twine.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful day!

Our November challenge is Rustic Winter
The days are turning cold and the splendor of fall is changing to the majestically rustic beauty of a winter woodland. This month we're challenging you to bring a little bit of that rustic winter to your creations. Follow the graphic or head off on your own trail, just show us your rustic winter creations!

If you came from Marisa's Blog, you're in the right place!  For my card, I used the Unto Us set from Verve along with some papers from the Timbergrove Collection from Fancy Pants.  I really took the colors from the inspiration photo.  I stamped and die cut the frame using the coordinating Classy Label Die.

I stamped embossed the snowflakes from the set onto the woodgrain panel and also stamped and embossed the deer.  I used the Sprightly Sprigs Die Set to add some foliage to the card in both green and white.  The white was also coated in Icicle Stickles to give it some sparkle.  Next on today's hop is Stacey!!

Taylored Expressions November RELEASE DAY!!!

It's finally here!  Release Day!!  Everything we've been sharing with you over the last few days in NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store!!  Before you head on over to shop, I have a couple more projects to share with you today!  Both of my projects today use the NEW Calendar Critters and Calendar Critters Dies.

This first one uses the adorable little cow from the set!  How cute, right?!  The coordinating sentiment made me think peace, love and happiness, so I decided to try this technique Amy Sheffer shared on the TE Blog where you ink up the inside of an embossing folder and then spritz it with water, then you emboss your paper!  I thought it would work well with the NEW On the Spot Embossing Folder, and it did!!  I think it gave a very psychedelic and "happy" background!!  It definitely put me in a "good moo'd"!!!  LOL  I added a little scene using the NEW Build a Scene - Calendar Dies.

The second project I have to share uses Calendar Critters as well, but for a holiday card!  How cute is this little reindeer!?  I used the Build a Scene - Calendar Dies to create a little scene here too.  I used papers from the Build a Scene - Christmas 6x6 Paper Pack.

I used the NEW Braided Embossing Folder for background.  After tying some ribbon around the card, I added some embellishments using the NEW Holiday Charms Dies.  I added some Stickles to the snowflake and then some Ladybug Irresistible Pico Embellisher to the tree.

Thanks for visiting! If you'd like to see more projects and new product information, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete list of our participating designers!  HAPPY SHOPPING!!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Raise Your Glass and Happy New Year

Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you've been enjoying everything you've been seeing so far.  Today I have two more projects to share with you.  The first uses the NEW Raise Your Glass Die along with the NEW Little Bits - Celebration Confetti!

I created a little shaker element with the Raise Your Glass Die.  I started by diecutting the glass from the patterned paper from the Build a Scene 6x6 Paper Pack.  Then I die cut a glass from Strawberry Milkshake cardstock and used the middle portion to create the window for the shaker.

I filled the shaker with Hello Happiness Sequins as well as die cuts from the NEW Little Bits - Celebration Confetti!  The streamer-looking pieces are part of the Raise Your Glass Die to add the party right  to your card!  :)  I used a sentiment from the C'mon Get Happy set as well as the "for you" from the NEW Critter Correspondence set.

My second project for today uses the NEW Happy New Year Die!  This is going to be a new favorite of mine!  It makes for quick and easy cards, or you can get a little more elaborate and create a shaker!  I stayed simple with this card.  I used some glitter cardstock to die cut the Happy New Year piece.  I used the Raise Your Glass Die again because I thought it would go well behind the "Happy New Year"!

The base of the card was embossing using the NEW Braided Embossing Folder.  I added some Wedding Sequins to keep with the silver and gold theme and also added some confetti from the Little Bits - Celebration Confetti Die.
