Love Is Take Two

Back in October, I made a card using the Love Is stamp from Paper Pretties. It was perfect for "the bride" and you can see that card HERE. I gave that card to one of my daughter's teachers in an all occasion card gift set for Christmas. When we went back to school in January, she came out to tell me how much she LOVED that card and if it would be possible to make a few more. She mentioned that she wanted to give one to her niece and one to her niece's boyfriend. She didn't ask for a masculine version, but I thought he might appreciate a more manly version! :) This is what I came up with. Rather than the Damask embossing folder I used in the first, I used the Pajama Stripe Cuttlebug folder. Instead of the rounded Labels Nine Nestabilities, I used the squared off Labels Two Nestabilities. I also left off the glitter and exchanged pearls for brushed silver brads. Next to each other, the cards look like they could walk down the aisle themselves! LOL It's amazing how the look of a card can change so much by changing angles and embellishments!
Thanks for letting me share with you! Hope you're having a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Love Is (Paper Pretties); Ink- Wheat (VersaMagic); Paper- Kraft, True Black (PTI), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Pajama Stripe Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft), Labels Two Nestabilities (Spellbinders), brushed silver brads (Making Memories); Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Snowflakes

I just LOVE this sentiment from Paper Pretties. It's called Snowflakes Falling. I just recently got the Distressed Snowflakes Cuttlebug folder, so I thought I'd pair the folder and sentiment. The sentiment reads "Snowflakes falling down tonight, Fluffy, white and sparkling bright. Floating gently to the ground, Soft and light without a sound."

I added some Stardust Stickles to the snowflakes and opal ribbon to give some sparkly-ness to the card. Simple, sweet and pretty. . .the perfect card to mass produce! Thanks for stopping by today! Hope you're having a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Snowflakes Falling (Paper Pretties); Ink- Soft Sky (SU); Paper- Soft Sky (SU), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Distressed Snowflakes Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft), opal ribbon (Offray), Stardust Stickles; Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

Bubbles Bubbles

Here is another peek using one of the soon-to-be-released sets from Paper Pretties. It's called Bubble Time. I decided to make a round card to go along with the "bubble" theme. I colored the image in using Copic markers and added some Lavender Moon ribbon.

You can visit Christie, Danielle and Heather for more peeks today (and more chances to win stamps sets they've used on their cards!) So head on over!

Don't forget that the Prettie Pajama party starts on Sunday, November 1st at 8pm Eastern! We hope you'll join us! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Prettie Wednesday

It's time for another Pretties challenge. This week's challenge comes from Julie and it is to use a clean and simple layout. Clean and simple layouts are my favorite! This is one that I use A LOT!

I used one of the new sets to be released this weekend at the release party! It's called Bubble Time. I used my Labels Nine Nestabilities to cut out the image and then colored with Copic and Stampin Up markers.

We'd LOVE to see what you create! How to Enter: make a card using any Paper Pretties stamp set(s) you have and clean and simple layout. Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC75.

Now, hop on over to Jana to see what she's created using today's color combo! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

Love Is

Are you ready for another Prettie Release? Well, today starts sneak peeks of the new sets that are being released at Paper Pretties on Sunday, November 1st! We hope you'll join us for the release party at 8pm Eastern!

Today's peek that I have to show you is of a new scripture in the Precious Pretties line called Love Is, illustrated by my sweet friend Julie Masse! I have ALWAYS loved this verse and Julie has illustrated it beautifully in this stamp! I used my Labels Nine Nestabilities for my focal piece. I sponged Sweet Blush ink on the edges while the paper was still in the die. Then I lined the edge of the die cut piece with glue and dipped the edges in Dazzling Diamonds glitter. It really added that extra something to the card! The Sweet Blush cardstock is embossed with the Damask embossing folder from Sizzix. As finishing touches, I added some pearls and organdy ribbon. A PERFECT wedding card, don't you think?

Throughout this week leading up to the release, the Prettie Girls will be sharing peeks of all of the new release sets, so be sure and check out their blogs daily! Today, you can catch peeks from Christie, Danielle and Heather! This month we thought we'd have some fun and give you a chance to win the new releases!! Since our Pretties are some of our favorite things, our peeks will be based on the lyrics to My Favorite Things. Each day some of the Prettie Girls will upload their challenge cards based on a new lyric. If you stop by the Pretties Gallery and leave that Prettie Girl a comment on what your 'FAVORITE THING' about her card is, you'll have a chance to win the new set that has been used in that challenge - make sense? The contest will end November 2nd and the winners will be posted on the Paper Clip. You can find the link to the specific cards on each blog post. So, lets get started! Christie's blog is first on the hop so get on over there and make sure you stop by and leave a comment in the gallery for her for your chance to win!

Also, don't forget that tomorrow, October 27th is the deadline if you were interested in submitting for the Design Team Call! You can check out all of the details HERE!

Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day! Prettie Wednesday

Today, the Prettie Girls are posting Jackie's challenge to alter something! The hop starts with Christie, so head on over there if you didn't start there.
Altering is not something I do often. When I do, I usually do simple little things like this. Savannah LOVES these Icebreaker Sours candies. I thought I would "dress up" the container a bit for her, so that's what I decided to alter. I added some ribbon along the side of the container. When she takes off the top, she can always use that for a bookmark or to make a card to send along to someone else. :) By the way, I used the Nestful of Love set that is going to be released tomorrow night at Paper Pretties! Hope to see you at the release party at 8pm Eastern!

We'd LOVE to see what you alter! How to Enter: alter something using any Paper Pretties stamp set(s) you have. Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC71.

Another Prettie Peek

On Thursday, October 1st at 8pm Eastern, Paper Pretties will be having their next Prettie Pajama Party and will be releasing 9 new images and revealing the next Stamp of the Month!
Here's a peek of Make a Wish. Isn't Sophia adorable? Perfect for any little girl's birthday! The other day, I came across Amy Sheffer's Paper Pleating Tutorial and thought it would work perfectly and add such a nice detail to this card. I used some Pearlized White cardstock for the paper pleating, so it gives a nice sparkle along with the Dazzling Diamonds I added to Sophia's dress.
We'd LOVE for you to join us at the release party on October 1st! You can find us in the Paper Pretties forum starting at 8pm Eastern on October 1st. If you'd like to see a couple more sneak peeks, visit Christie and Danielle today! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Prettie Wednesday

Today, the Prettie Girls are posting Christie's challenge to use fun foam! The hop starts with Christie, so head on over there if you didn't start there. I don't think I've ever used fun foam on a card. I've made fun foam projects with the kids, but it's never translated to cardmaking until now! LOL You may be wondering WHERE on my card is the fun foam. Well, I ran it through my Cuttlebug with a Long Scallop Rectangle Nestabilities die. . .so it's the scalloped matte for the focal image. The fun foam works REALLY well with Nestabilities dies. It also adds some dimension to the card! Very cool. I may have to use this a little more. I've got a whole package left from when I did a frame project with Savannah. For this card, I used the Trim the Tree set and a sentiment from Snowflake Kisses. We'd LOVE to see what YOU create using fun foam! We'll pick a winner next Tuesday.

How to Enter: make a card using fun foam and any Paper Pretties stamp set(s) you have. Upload the card to the Paper Pretties gallery. Please include it in the Weekly Challenges album and use keyword PWC70. Your next stop on the hop is over to see Jana!

Are you ready for another Paper Pretties release? Well, it's happening next Thursday, October 1st in the Paper Pretties forums! There are quite a few new sets coming that are just ADORABLE! Sneak peeks start tomorrow on a couple of Prettie Girl blogs and will continue until the release, so stayed tuned! Thanks for stopping by today! Have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Trim the Tree, Snowflake Kisses (Paper Pretties); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Dovecraft; Accessories- Copic markers, fun foam, Long Rectangle Scallop Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Certainly Celery grosgrain (SU), flower button; Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

I used the Pick of the Patch set from Paper Pretties for my card. This is an older set, but still adorable and perfect for this time of year.

Paper Pretties Sneak Peek - Day 2

Another set that is releasing on September 1st over at Paper Pretties is called Season of Thanksgiving. It's this adorable Indian Sophia! For my project today, I thought I'd make a little treat that's a little different but fitting, I think. . .unpopped popcorn! I LOVE using our hot air popper to make popcorn and melt the butter. Sometimes I like to make that rather than the usual microwave popcorn. It makes it seem so much more special, doesn't it? The kids get so excited! :)
