VLV Smitten

I was going through my card files and realized I had a card I never shared here.  It uses one of the Viva la Verve Sketches.  I know it's late, but the sketch can be inspiration for anytime, right?!  :)

I used the More Than Love set from Verve Stamps for my card.  The papers were from my scrap stash, so I'm not really certain which collection they are from.  I stamped and embossed the heart from the set in gold.  I thought the gold added a nice sparkle to the, otherwise, simple card.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you've been inspired!

You Are My Sunshine

Hi there!  I hope your day is off to a great start!  I have a card to share today that uses one of my favorite techniques. . .Inlaid DieCutting.  I just LOVE this technique.  I love the look of it and I love the process of figuring out which dies you use when depending on what you want in the "foreground" and what you want in the "background".

I've used quite a few die sets from Taylored Expressions for my card.  The first die I used was the Stitched Circles Stacklets to create the focal point.  After diecutting the circle from the Sugar Cube cardstock, I die cut it again from Salt Water Taffy cardstock to create a "sky".  The trees were created using the Build a Scene - Trees die set.  The sun and stamped sentiment are from the Sunny Days Stamp & Die Combo.  The little park bench is from the Build a Scene - Central Park die set.

The grass was created using the Build a Scene - Calendar die set.  The grass is not inlaid, however, because I didn't think ahead enough.  I could have inlaid the grass if I had die cut it BEFORE putting the blue circle into the card, but since the die is longer than that little piece, I would have cut into the card base trying to do it after.  :)  The "sunshine" is a die I received as a "thank you" with one of the orders I placed at TE.  I LOVE this die and couldn't wait to use it on this card!  The trickiest part of that die was keeping all of the negative pieces to fit into the letters after I placed the Oreo sunshine into the card.  After all of the pieces were put together, I added a few sequins from the Rainbow Brights Sequins.

I hope you've enjoyed this Inlaid DieCutting Technique!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!

Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY!!

Hi!  Today is the day you've been waiting for all week!  Everything we've been sharing with you over the last few days in NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store!!  Before you head over to shop, though, I have one more project to share with you!  It uses the NEW Love Is An Adventure Set and coordinating Love Is An Adventure Die Set!

Another adorable set in this release!  I have so many choices for cards for my kids!  :)  I started this by diecutting the box using the Sack It To You Die.  I used the NEW Stitched Heart Stacklets to adhere to either side of the box.  The airplane was stamped, colored using Copic markers and then die cut with the coordinating dies.  I also stamped the heart balloons from the set and just cut off the "strings" so they would be just hearts.

I added some Sweetheart Sequins for some sparkle and filled the box with filler.  The handle was created using the Heart Border Die.  Now the package is all ready to fill with a treat of some kind and give to someone special!

I hope you've enjoyed the sneak peeks all week!  Thanks for stopping and HAPPY SHOPPING!!

Taylored Expressions December Sneak Peeks: Roly Poly Bee and Bugs & Kisses

Hi!  Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  I hope you're getting excited for the release tomorrow!! I have another two projects to share with you today!  The first uses the NEW Roly Poly Bee!!  This is one of the newest in the Roly Poly Series of dies.

I think the bee is just adorable!!  I created a set of bookmarks that could be mass produced for Valentines!  I die cut the bee using the Roly Poly Bee along with  Lemon Meringue, Oreo and vellum cardstock.  The little hearts were scraps from using the Peek-a-Boo Hearts Die.  The sentiments are from the Punny Love set and the actual bookmark was created using the Stitched Banner Stacklets.

The second project I have to share uses the NEW Bugs & Kisses Stamp & Die Combo.  This set is absolutely adorable!!  It also works very well with the Peek-a-Boo Hearts Die as I've used on this card.

I diecut the hearts out of some Formula For Love patterned paper and created shakers in 3 of the windows.  I thought it would be cute for the little bug to peek out of the fourth window.  The bug was stamped, colored and then die cut using the coordinating die.  The card base was embossed using the NEW Paisley Embossing Folder.

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you've enjoyed today's sneak peeks and that you'll stop back tomorrow for more!!
