Is It Hot in Here?

Hi there!  Welcome to September sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  This marks TE's 8th Birthday, so it's a big party!!!  I have two projects to share with you today.  The first features the NEW Bright Birthday!  It is a wonderful sentiment set with perfect birthday sentiments for all ages!

I used a few other new sets on this card as well.  The candles are from the NEW Make a Wish Stamp & Die Combo and the background banners are from the NEW Party Streamers set.  Don't these sets all together make for a fun birthday card?!!  I LOVE how you can stamp and die cut multiple candles and flames to customize your card.  The streamers make a very festive background as well.  To finish the card, I used some Rainbow Brights Sequins.

The second project I have to share today features the NEW Happy Birthday Cutting Plate.  This is a fun cutting plate that makes creating a birthday card simple.  You don't have to cut apart and piece as I did with this card.  I used papers from the Hello Happiness 6x6 Paper Pack for the background as well as the "birthday" part of the sentiment.  For the "happy" and "birthday", I just cut strips of paper wide enough to cover those words instead of cutting an entire piece with the cutting plate.

All of the little "bits" sprinkled around the card were created using the NEW Little Bits - Birthday Confetti and the Little Bits - Sequins Confetti.  They add some fun and "party" to any card!!   I think it would even be fun to put a bunch of them inside the card so that when the recipient opens the card, they are sprinkled with confetti!!  :)

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops - Day 3

Welcome back to Day 3 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online store on Friday, August 26.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Potter's Clay stamp set and coordinating, Pottery Die Set.  If you've come from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!  I chose to do a little rock 'n roll stamping with these vases.  So I inked them up in red first, then rolled the edge in a brown.  It gives them nice shading and dimension. I watercolored a bit to ground the vases on the card.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Next on today's hop is Laurie!!

Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops - Day 2

Welcome back to Day 2 of our Anni-VERVE-sary Spotlight Hops!  The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting our new release! Everything previewed this week will be available to order in the Verve online store on Friday, August 26.

Today we're sharing our first projects featuring the Kindness Matters stamp set and coordinating, Great Kindness Die Set.  If you've come from visiting Betty, you're in the right place!!  For my card, I decided to use some watercoloring again.  This time, I used some heat embossing with the watercoloring.  I stamped the flowers and heat embossed them in white, then watercolored.  I die cut the flowers and then arranged them on the card.  I added the leaves and some Shine Bright Sequins for some sparkle, then finally the die cut sentiment.  Thanks for stopping by!  Next on today's hop is Laurie!!
