Today we are featuring 2 new full sized sets and 4 new A la Cartes!  My first project features the Faith in Bloom set.  Faith in Bloom was illustrated by Emily Burger for the Embracing Grace line.  It is a full sized set with Bible verses and words of encouragement along with cute and quirky blooms!  For my card, I used the Miss Caroline Dilly Dally Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I stamped the sentiment onto the dark patterned paper in white craft ink and then embossed it with white embossing powder.  The bloom was colored with Copic markers, cut out and mounted to the card with foam tape.  I also used the new Jumbo Flower Border Die on this card.

My second project today features the Royal Treatment Crown Die Set.  I die cut the "male" crown out of a metal sheet and the "female" crown out of white cardstock.  I added some Stardust Stickles to the "male" crown for jewels.  For the "female" crown, I covered it in Stardust Stickles and once that dried, I used a Salmon Pearl Pen to add pearl features to the crown.  The sentiment is from the new Royal Digs set.  I thought this would make a perfectly simple wedding card.

Today I have an ADORABLE new Moka to show you!  Her name is Moka Princess Penelope!  :)  Moka Princess Penelope was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Moka Collection.  She is just the cutest and fits right into the "royal" theme!  I colored her in with Copic markers and created a frame using the Large Layering Doily Die.  After diecutting the doily, I used a circle cutter to cut out the center, then sprayed adhesive all over it and dunked it in glitter to make it all sparkly!  I adhered it over top of Moka Princess Penelope with foam tape.  The papers are from the On the Bright Side One Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I used the new Magestic Border Die along the bottom of the card and embellished it with some Tiny Twinkles

As far as coloring Moka Princess Penelope, did you know that Taylored Expressions has a FREE DOWNLOAD complete with Hair and Skin Copic colors?!  It was designed by the fabulous Jen Shults

Make It Monday - Creating Larger Frames

This week's Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink is Creating Larger Frames With Smaller Frame Stamps.  Basically, you're "hiding" where you stamped the frames together so that it gives the illusion of one big frame.  I chose to use the Framed set for my card.  I stamped the square frame twice on white cardstock to fit the length of the box I wanted.  Then I used the Mat Stack 4 Die to cut a small frame out of Berry Sorbet.  I stamped it with the frame from Tiny Treats: Halloween in Pure Poppy ink.  I placed it on top of the overlap in the frame from Framed.  I die cut a flower using the Bloom Builders #3 Die and Pure Poppy cardstock.  I attached a button to the center and added that to the sentiment panel.

As a finishing touch, I added some Scor Tape lining the stamped frame and covered it in glitter.  You can see more creations for this challenge here.  Thanks for stopping by!

Today we are featuring two new adorable "abode" sets along with all of the new dies!  I am featuring the Royal Digs set.  It was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line and is PERFECT for little girls and big girls alike!  :)  It's an adorable set for that princess in all of us!

I decided to create a little home decor out of a coaster.  I tend to "sweat the small stuff" a lot and I thought this sentiment would be great for me to look at daily and be reminded not to sweat the small stuff!  :)  I colored the castle using Copic markers, cut it out and then covered the castle in Glossy Accents.  I created a scene using the Garden Party Blooms Die Set 2, the Cloud Duo Die set and the Grassy Border Die.  The papers are from The Bright Side One Collection from My Mind's Eye.

To see creations with the other "abode" set as well as some new dies, please visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen!

    VLV Be Okay

It's Friday again and time for another Viva la Verve Sketch!  This week's sketch is hosted by sweet Tosh, and it's an awesome sketch!  I used the newest stamp that was released at Verve, the Be Okay Plain Jane.  I just LOVE this stamp!  It is so perfect for many instances.  I decided to create a more playful and fun card using it.  As a mom, there are lots of times when this sentiment comes in handy.  That boo boo on the knee, that lost "binky", that bad dream.  I've said this many times while hugging and rocking each of my kids.  Now that the two oldest are in school all day, I've made it a practice to put a little card in their lunches from time to time.  I thought I would save this one for a special occasion.  My oldest, Savannah, really takes pride in her school work.  So much so, that when she misses a word on her spelling test or something like that, she gets really upset.  I thought this would be the perfect card to put in her lunch the next time something like that happens.  It's bright and happy, and she knows mommy says this to her all the time!  :)

Come play along with the Viva la Verve Sketches!  They're fun and there's always a chance to win some Verve!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a GREAT weekend!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Be Okay Plain Jane (Verve Stamps); Paper- Christmas Wishes Collection (Bella Blvd), Bazzill; Accessories- markers in Tempting Turquoise, Summer Sunrise, Old Olive and Real Red (SU), Plain and Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders);  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

    MIM With Thanks

It's been a little while since I've been able to play along with the Make It Monday Challenge, but I had some time this morning to play along with the Glitter Button Challenge.  I decided to use an old favorite set of mine, Little Lady.  I used a few True Black Vintage Buttons, glittered them up with some Prisma Glitter and added them as some of the ladybug's spots.

The ladybug was stamped in Pure Poppy Ink.  The "sky" is Hawaiian Shores cardstock and I created the "grass" by using Simply Chartreuse and Spring Moss cardstock along with the Banner Borders Die.  As a finishing touch, I scored three lines along the bottom edge of the card using my ScorPal.  You can see more entries for this challenge here

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

    Mojo Mommy

Today I'm part of a very special Blog Hop.  Hopefully you came here from sweet Debbie Carriere.  If not, you can find the whole Blog Hop List on Teresa's Blog

Not only is it Mojo Monday, but we're surprising Julee to help welcome her twin boys!!  Julee is such a special person.  A true sweetheart.  I have LOVED working with her for the past 5 years and when she broke the news that she was expecting, I squealed!  I cannot be happier for her.  I am so very excited for her to become a mommy!!
We all used this week's Mojo Sketch to create a card for Julee and to offer her a few words of advice on being a new mom.  My advice would be to enjoy all those little moments.  Babies grow SO fast.  Snuggle with them whenever you can.  Smell them, squeeze their little fingers and toes.  Those first months are not always easy, and I can't imagine what it's like with two at the same time, but know that those times won't last forever.  Eventually you WILL get to sleep through the night.  :) Nap when they nap.  I'm so excited for you to meet your two little sweeties, Julee!  Sending you BIG hugs and much love!

I used the To the Moon set for my card.  I stamped two giraffes for the twins and colored them with Copic markers.  The papers are from the Stomp and Round & Round Collections from My Mind's Eye.  I had to ink up portions of the sentiment separately to make it fit the sentiment panel.  As finishing touches, I added ribbon, stitching around the card and buttons.

Please stop by to send Julee some love!  The next person on the hop is the fabulous Sankari

    Sparkles and Shines

These past few days have been birthday party central here with both of my daughters being invited to several birthday parties of their classmates.  When I asked one mother for gift ideas, she said her daughter loved anything Barbie, horses or unicorns.  I didn't find anything "unicorn" for her gift, but we accompanied her Barbie with this unicorn card.  I hope she liked it!  :)

This uses the Simply Magical set from Taylored Expressions.  I thought the sentiment was especially perfect for a birthday.  I colored the image using Copic markers.  The papers are from the Colorwheel Collection from Doodlebug.  I die cut some clouds to go with the cloud in the image using the Cloud Duo Die, the coordinating die from Sky's the Limit, and the Cloud Border Die.  I added Stardust Stickles to the image.

Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're having a great weekend!

    VLV Rule the World

Today is Friday and that means a new Viva la Verve Sketch!  This week's sketch comes to us from Laurie.  I used the Better With You set from Verve along with some patterned papers from the Restoration Collection from Crate Paper.

I stamped the "coffee rings" in Canyon Clay ink onto Really Rust cardstock.  When I was looking at how to use the ribbon that's represented in the sketch,  I had some ric rac and thought it might look like the "steam" from the coffee.  I hope it gives that impression!  :)

Come play along with the Viva la Verve Sketch!  It's a lot of fun.  Also, there's been a NEW Plain Jane released today!  Go check it out!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend!

    Mojo Valentine

Happy Valentine's Day!  I'm excited today because I get to help at both of my daughters' Valentine parties in school.  They love it when I get to come into school, and I love how excited they get!  :)

I had some time this morning to create a card for this week's Mojo Monday Sketch.  I used the Text Objects set for my card.  The paper is from the Cupcake Love Collection from Little Yellow Bicycle.  I started by diecutting a piece of the patterned paper with the Labels One Nestabilities.  The largest heart was die cut using the Jotted Heart Die and the smallest heart was die cut using the From the Heart Die Set.   The middle heart was simply stamped and then hand cut.  As a finishing touch, I added a scored border around the card using my Scor-Pal.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful Valentine's Day!
