Dream

I don't know about you, but we are a bit snowed in this morning.  Not terribly. . .the kids only have a 2 hour delay, but I like that because it gives us some extra time in the morning!  ;)  Yesterday I got to spend some time in my studio and worked with the latest Deconstructed Sketch.  I used the Vintage Dreamer set from Taylored Expressions along with the Lost & Found 3 Oliver Collection from My Mind's Eye.

I used the frame image from the Vintage Dreamer set.  I stamped it in white craft ink onto a transparency and carefully heat embossed it in white.  I cut it out and then mounted it on the card with foam tape.  I stamped the sentiment in navy ink, punched it out and attached it over the transparency frame to "hide" the foam tape.  To dress it up, I added some pearls to the sentiment piece. The little "flags" from the sketch were created using the Banner Stacklets 1.  This card came together pretty quickly. . .I love when that happens!  :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your week is off to a great start!

Be Mine, Love

Today I have a card using one of the newest stamp sets from Taylored Expressions called Valentine Doodles.  I just love all of the bits and pieces contained in this set.  I started out with Deconstructed Sketch 84.  The papers are from the Secret Crush Collection from Pink Paislee.

The first thing I did was choose my paper pieces according to the sketch.  Once I decided which papers went where, then I started stamping and coloring.  I stamped the little heart flowers on the pink cardstock that's tucked behind.  LOVE was stamped and colored using Copic markers.  I stamped the heart with wings, colored it with Copic markers, cut it out and adhered it to the card with foam tape.  I even added some Stardust Stickles to it.  :)  The ribbon is from the Love Letters Project Pantry.  Across the top of the card I used the Heart Border Die

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you're having a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Valentine Doodles (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Sweet Blush (PTI); Paper- Secret Crush Collection (PinkPaislee); Accessories- Heart Border Die (Taylored Expressions), Copic markers, Stardust Stickles;  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Best Witches

Hello there!  I hope your day is off to a good start!  I had a tough time getting out of bed this morning and that's VERY unlike me. . .at least when I have the alarm set.  The alarm barely has a chance to go off and I'm already out of bed and dressed!  ;)  Hopefully this coffee with remedy that!

Today I have a card for you using one of the newest sets from Taylored Expressions, Fa-BOO-lous.  I started by using Jen's Deconstructed Sketch No. 69.  I decided to use the Tricks & Treats Project Pantry for my card.  I stamped the image from Fa-BOO-lous and colored it using Copic markers.  I stamped the spiders in the image another time, cut them out and them mounted over the original stamped spiders with foam tape.  I also covered them with Diamond Stickles and it gives them this really cool effect. . .especially in pictures with how the light picks it up.  They look electric, don't they?  Like each one is lit up!  lol

I die cut two spider webs using the new Spiders & Spiderweb Die.  Once everything was adhered in place, I stitched around the edge of the card.  Even though there's not a specific place in the sketch for a sentiment, I had to add one.  :)  The card just needed something in that spot!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Fa-BOO-lous (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine), Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Tricks & Treats Project Pantry (Taylored Expressions); Accessories- Spiders & Spiderweb Die, polka dot ribbon (Taylored Expressions), Diamond Stickles, Copic markers;  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Come Sail Away With Me

Today I have a happy card for you using the latest Deconstructed Sketch.  I used the new Bon Voyage set from Taylored Expressions along with some papers from the Hello Summer Collection from Echo Park.

I started by stamping the sailboat and coloring it with Copic markers.  I added the waves to the image using the Wave Border Die.  I stamped the sentiment and added it to the side. . .and I couldn't stop singing that song either!  ;)  I added a scalloped border using the Medium Scallop Border Die.  To finish the card off, I added some stitching and some bling.  Thanks for stopping by today and I hope this card made you smile!  :)  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Bon Voyage (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- Hello Summer (Echo Park); Accessories- Wave Border Die, Medium Scallop Border Die (Taylored Expressions), Copic markers, ribbon (Darice), bling (Doodlebug Designs);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Friends are Flowers

Happy Monday!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  Today I have a card that uses Deconstructed Sketch No. 43.  I used the Tiptoe Through the Tulips Dies for the focal point of my card and a sentiment from the Spring Tulips set from Taylored Expressions.  The papers are from the Country Drive Collection from Echo Park.

I couldn't fit the sentiment in a circle, so I had to change that shape on the sketch to a rectangle.  I added some stitching around the border of the card and then used some black thread for a couple of zig zag stitched spots.  I drew a border around the tulips with a ruler and black pen.

Thanks for stopping by today and have a GREAT day!
