Tu Tu Cute

I have had this adorable stamp since it was released at My Favorite Things and sadly, this is the first time it has seen ink.  This is the Ballet Millie set and I am just in love with it!  She reminds me of Angelina Ballerina, a favorite cartoon of my kids.  As soon as I saw this set I knew it would be perfect for so many creations for my girls.  I also used the Jumbo Ric Rac Die-namic as well as the Rolled Rose Die-namic.  I colored Millie in with Copic markers and added some glitter for sparkle.  The focal piece was cut with Plain Circle Nestabilities and the Lacey Circles Nestabilities.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a wonderful weekend!

Papertrey November Blog Hop

Today is the monthly Blog Hop at Papertrey Ink and this month's theme was to create a holiday tag!  I like using tags for those little gifts that I make a bunch of for those "extra" people.  You know, the people you don't really "buy" for, but still want them to know you appreciate them and are thinking of them.

I made this tag to attach to cello bags filled with a packet of hot cocoa, marshmallows and a candy cane.  I used the Warm Happiness Too set along with the coordinating Warm Happiness Die, the Tag Sale 2, and the Limitless Layers Circles Collection.  The paper is from the Library Ledger Paper pack, and Kraft.   I used Berry Sorbet and Ocean Tides ink.  The ribbon is the Berry Sorbet Swiss Dots

Head on over to Nichole's Blog to see the list of participants for today's hop!  Hope you find lots of inspiration!  I know I will!  Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Let It Snow

I can't believe we're here at the week of Thanksgiving!  Where does the time go?  December is right around the corner and so is snow.  It's not that I don't like snow.  I think snow is beautiful!  I just don't like to drive in it.  If I can watch it from inside my warm and cozy house, I'm great!  ;)

Today's card uses the Winter Wonderland set from Taylored Expressions along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch.  I used the Snow Day Project Pantry Kit and the Winter Wonderland Snowflakes Dies.  I stamped the snowflakes and die cut them, then added some bling.  They were mounted onto the circle piece with foam adhesive.  I thought it would look neat to use the snowflake patterned paper as a background for these snowflakes.  It makes the die cut snowflakes look like they're coming right off the patterned paper, don't you think? :)

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope your week is off to a great start!  Hopefully it's not too busy for you just yet!

Christmas Blessings

Today I have a card to show you that I made for the last Verve release.  It uses the Christmas Blessings Plain Jane.  As I've told you before, one of my favorite ways to use my Cuttlebug folders is for when I have JUST a sentiment for a card.  Here, I used the Snow Globe embossing folder along with the Holly w/Berries die from Sizzix.  They came together in a set with another embossing folder and I picked them up at Joann's.

I stamped the sentiment onto cream cardstock and then die cut it with the Vintage Oval Frame die.   Then I inked the edges with some Antique Linen Distress ink.  The sentiment panel is adhered to the card front with foam adhesive.

Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you have a great weekend!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Christmas Blessings Plain Jane (Verve Stamps); Ink- Antique Linen Distress (Ranger), Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Choice Buttercream (Taylored Expressions), Pure Poppy (PTI);  Accessories- Vintage Oval Frame die (Verve Stamps), ribbon (PTI), Snow Globe & Powdered Sugar Set (Sizzix);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop

It's time for the Blast From the Past Blog Hop at Taylored Expressions!  I always love this blog hop because it forces me to bring out some older stamp sets that haven't seen love in a while!  :)  This month's theme was Autumn/Thankful, so I pulled out my Celebrate Life set.  I also used the October Key Ingredients for my card and a sketch created by the awesome Sankari!  I just LOVE all of the Fall colors!

First I stamped the pumpkin onto Choice Buttercream cardstock.  Then, I stamped it again on a scrap piece of Choice Buttercream, colored that image with Copic markers and cut it out.  I stamped the leaves from the set around the first stamped pumpkin in different colors.  I mounted the colored pumpkin on top of the first pumpkin with foam adhesive.  I added a "frame" on the focal piece using a ruler and a Chocolate Chip marker.

I can't wait to see all of the "warm and yummy" Fall-themed projects in this blog hop!  Here's the list of those participating if you'd like to hop along with me!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!

Happy Birthday, Nancy!

Today, a bunch of us got together for a blog hop to celebrate Nancy McKinney's birthday!  The hop started with Karen, so if you didn't start there, you might want to hop on back.  :)  Nancy illustrates the stamps for the Whimsical Wishes line at Taylored Expressions, so I thought it appropriate to create a card with a set that she illustrated!

I used the Make a Wish set for my card.  If you think this card looks familiar, it's because I CASED it.  I LOVED Andrea Walford's gorgeous Christmas card here, so I created this birthday card using different papers and a different stamp set.

Happy Birthday, Nancy!  I hope you have an absolutely wonderful day!  Sending you birthday hugs!

Your next stop on the hop is the amazing Jodi!  I can't wait to see what Jodi created because everything she creates is amazing!  We hope you'll follow along on the hop and end up at Nancy's blog to give her birthday wishes!  Thanks for stopping by and hopping along!  Have a wonderful day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Make a Wish (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Early Espresso (SU), Pear Tart (Memento); Paper- Make a Wish Project Pantry (Taylored Expressions), Kraft (PTI);  Accessories- Scalloped Eyelet Border die, Make a Wish Balloon dies (Taylored Expressions);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Simple Verve

Happy Morning everyone!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  Last night we had some down time here at home so I thought I'd put a card together.  Sometimes when I don't have much time to create, I like to look into my scraps and create a project using bits and pieces from there.  This card is just that.  I only really used three scraps from my scrap bin, so the card is very simple, but I like it that way.

I used the Autumn Splendor set from Verve and stamped the leaves in Pear Tart, Old Olive and even some Fresh Snow.  I also inked the edges of the houndstooth patterned paper with Fresh Snow ink.  The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive.  The finishing touch was the two gems.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hopefully I've inspired you to dig into your scrap bin and put together a card from bits and pieces!  Have a wonderful day!

Happy Holidays!

Today I have a card for you using one of the newest Verve releases called Merry Wishes.  I love the "sugared berry" look that I created using some Dazzling Diamonds glitter.  :)  I started by stamping the sprigs in Burnt Umber ink on Kraft cardstock.  I colored the berries in with Copic markers.  Then I stamped the snowflakes in Fresh Snow ink.

For the sentiment panel, I stamped the Vintage Oval Frame and sentiment, then I colored the border of the frame in using a white gel pen.  I die cut the frame using the Vintage Oval Frame die.  Lastly, I added some Dazzling Diamonds glitter to the berries and tied some ribbon around the card.

Today is Isaac's birthday.  I can't believe my little man is 3!!  Today should be a lot of fun!  I hope you've been inspired today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Vintage Oval Frame, Merry Wishes (Verve Stamps); Ink- Burnt Umber (Palette), Fresh Snow (PTI); Paper- Kraft (PTI); Accessories- Dazzling Diamonds glitter (SU), Vintage Oval Frame die (Verve Stamps), ribbon (PTI), white gel pen;  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Happy Birthday, Isaac!

I can't believe my little man is three today!  Wasn't it just yesterday that they brought me my first "blue" bundle to hug?  LOL  Time goes so fast. . .too fast.  Happy Birthday, Isaac!  I love you little buddy!

Merry & Bright Mojo

I wanted to play along with this week's Mojo Monday Sketch and decided to pull out an older Verve set for my card.  I just LOVE the Ornamental Christmas set.  It has four different ornaments you can stamp and sentiments that fit in them, as well as the top of the ornament, a sprig and a little flourish.  Did I mention I love this set?

I stamped the ornament first on white cardstock.  I then stamped it again onto colored cardstock and cut it out, adhering that with foam adhesive on top of the first stamped ornament.  I added some Gold Stickles along the edge of the white cardstock and stamped the second sentiment on gold cardstock.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're enjoying your day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Ornamental Christmas (Verve Stamps); Ink- Fresh Snow (PTI), Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Scribble Scrabble, Scarlet Jewel (PTI);  Accessories- ribbon (Darice), brads (Making Memories), Gold Stickles;  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Happy Fall Y'all!

As it's nice and sunny here in Pittsburgh, but a little chilly, I thought I'd dig into my October Key Ingredients kit to create a warm and yummy fall card.  :)  I started with Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge and used an old set from Taylored Expressions called Frightful Night.  I know, it doesn't look very frightful, does it?  Well, I used the tree image from the set and the bat trio image upside down to create the leaves.  Ever since Jami used the bats for leaves a few years ago in her post HERE, I LOVED the idea and decided to use it for my card today.  I used different colors to give a "fall leaves" appearance and added Cinnamon Stickles from the Key Ingredients to add some sparkle to the leaves.  The sentiment is from the A Year of Sweet Sentiments set.

The focal image was die cut using the Take Note Die 3.  I hand cut the matte.  Finally, I added the button and the scalloped piece along the bottom using the Scalloped Eyelet Border die.

Hope you're having a beautiful day!  Thanks for stopping by!
