Miss You

Today I have a card using a set that I haven't used very much.  It is the All Booked Up set from Papertrey Ink.  I actually only used the focal image from that set.  The sentiment and frame are from the Mat Stack 3 Collection.  I started with some Kraft and Dark Chocolate cardstock.  I created the card with Kraft and used the Edgers #1 Collection on the bottom.  I stamped the Dark Chocolate cardstock using the Background Basics: Text Style set

The focal image was stamped onto Kraft cardstock and punched out with a circle punch.  The frame was stamped in Terra Cotta Tile onto white cardstock and die cut using the Mat Stack 3 Die.  I stamped a little frame from the Mat Stack 3 set onto Dark Chocolate cardstock and then stamped the sentiment in Fresh Snow ink.  Finally I added some Swiss Dot ribbon and some faux stitching along the left side of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope your week is off to a great start!  SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- All Booked Up, Mat Stack 3 Collection, Background Basics: Text Style (Papertrey Ink); Ink- Fresh Snow, Terra Cotta Tile (PTI), Burnt Umber (Palette); Paper- Kraft, Dark Chocolate (PTI); Accessories- Mat Stack 3 Die, Edgers #1 Collection, ribbon (PTI), circle punch (SU);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Clean and Simple

Today I have a super simple card for you.  All it took was one embossing folder and a sentiment.  That's it!  Oh, and I added a little bit of glitter just because I wanted a little sparkle.  :)  The verse is from the Rest & Renewal set from Taylored Expressions.  This really is a beautiful stamp set.  It is the latest in the Lasting Impressions line at Taylored Expressions.

I used the Birds and Branches embossing folder from Sizzix.  The embossing frames the card, so it makes it perfect to add just a sentiment.  Super simple, but elegant!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Sunday!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Rest & Renewal (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Choice Snow White (Taylored Expressions);  Accessories- Birds and Branches embossing folder (Sizzix), glitter;  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"

Papertrey January Blog Hop Challenge

Today is the monthly blog hop at Papertrey Ink!  The challenge this month was to use a set that has never seen ink or one that has been collecting dust.  Unfortunately, I have a lot that seem to be collecting dust!  :)  I decided to dust off my Snowfall set to create a little gift box.

I started with the Favor It Box 3 Die.  After diecutting the two sides of the box, I used the Woodgrain Impression Plate inked with Fresh Snow ink to give a "chilly", wind-blown look to the Aqua Mist cardstock.  The next thing I did was create a little vellum pocket for the front of the box using the Library Pocket Die.  I stamped the vellum with snowflakes from the set in Fresh Snow Ink and stamped the sentiment along the bottom of the pocket, assembled the pocket and attached it to the box.

Next I stamped the mittens in Ocean Tides ink on Aqua Mist cardstock and cut them out.  I stamped a snowflake on each mitten and added some bling.  I attached some Rustic Cream Button Twine to the mittens and tucked one into the pocket and the other is mounted with foam tape outside the pocket.  The last little accent was the white ricrac, for which I used the RicRac Die

Finally I stuffed the box with some white filler.  I thought a Starbuck's Gift card or perhaps some tea would be great tucked in the box!  Thanks for stopping by!  You can visit Nichole's blog to see the rest of the participants!  Have a great day!

Here is a card I made for the latest Viva la Verve Sketch.  I love the sketch that sweet Sankari came up with!  If you've never participated in a Viva la Verve Challenge, they are a lot of fun. . .and you can win Verve goodies!

For this card, I used the To the Moon set along with the Swirling Hearts set.  I colored the monkey in using Copic markers.  I added a punched, glittery heart to go along with the sentiment.  The frame from the Swirling Hearts set was stamped in Pure Poppy ink and then cut out using the Vintage Oval Die.  The papers are from the Cherries Jubilee Collection by Doodlebug Designs.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- To the Moon, Swirling Hearts (Verve Stamps); Ink- Pure Poppy (PTI), Walnut Stain Distress Ink (Ranger); Paper- Cherries Jubilee Collection (Doodlebug Designs);  Accessories- ribbon, Medium Scallop Border die (Taylored Expressions), Copic markers, Vintage Oval Die (Verve Stamps);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Sending You Love

Good Sunday morning!  I hope you are all staying warm!  We've had some pretty chilly days here!  I have a card today using one of the newest releases from Taylored Expressions.  This is the A Little Love set.  I didn't end up using any of the label images from the set.  Instead, I used the little stems and flowers.  The papers are from my newest Key Ingredients Kit!  The patterned paper is the Cupcake Love Collection from Little Yellow Bicycle.

Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE receiving the Key Ingredients Kits every month?  I really do!  And I'm not just saying that because I have to. . .I'm actually a subscriber!  I just love receiving the latest adorable designer papers complete with coordinating cardstock and embellishments delivered right to my door!  If you'd like to find out more about the Key Ingredients subscriptions, visit HERE.  Did you also know that there is a blog dedicated to JUST the Key Ingredients?  There is!  And is comes complete with links to other coordinating products as well as inspiration sheets!

Along the bottom of the card, I used the Heart Border Die and weaved some ribbon through it.  Then, I used leftover hearts from another time I used the Heart Border Die to accent the border/ribbon piece.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Sunday!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- A Little Love (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Rosebud, Angel Pink, Pear Tart (Memento), Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Cupcake Love (Little Yellow Bicycle from January Key Ingredients (TE); Accessories- Heart Border Die, ribbon, Taylor's Tiny Twinkles, ribbon (TE);  Finished card measures 4.25" square

January Diva Dare

Good morning!  Today is my day to share my creation for the Diva Dare over on the Verve Blog.  This month's theme was Baby Love.  That could mean for a baby or for a special someone!  On the Friday following each release, we'll post a theme we'll dare you with, and you'll have two weeks to complete the challenge. During those two weeks, the release team will post their creations and tell you how they answered the dare!

I created something for my "babies" for Valentine's Day.  It's funny because I always call my kids "my babies" (when I'm not calling them "my little bugs", of course) and my girls will say "we're not babies, Mom" and I'll say "you'll ALWAYS be MY baby!" and they just smile and shrug their shoulders.  It's true, though.  No matter how old they are, they'll always be my babies!  So, in keeping with this month's theme, I created little Valentine treats for them.

I used the Love Notes set from Verve along with the Jotted Heart Die. . .and I used it for more than just the heart focal point!  ;)  For more details on my project and to find out how to win some Verve goodness, head on over to the Verve Blog!
Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Bloomin' Good Day

I was organizing my photos for what I post on my blog and I realized there were some things that I never posted here!  A few months ago, I was the Fabulous Friend at My Favorite Things and created a couple of projects that I haven't yet shared here.  Today I'm going to share with you a little flowerpot card I created using the Bloomin' Good Day Pure Innocence set.  (unfortunately that set seems to be out of stock right now, so I just linked you up to ALL of the PI sets!)

I used a Flower Pot Kit that I downloaded from the Silhouette online store and cut it out with my Silhouette to create the card.  I used the Rolled Flower Die-namics to create the flowers.  I also used the Open Scallop Border Die-namic for the top of the flower pot. I added some pearls to the centers of the flowers and lined the card with some white gel pen faux stitching.  The image was colored using Copic markers.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you have a bloomin' good day!  :)

TE Blast From the Past Blog Hop

Today is the monthly Blast From the Past Blog Hop at Taylored Expressions!  I really like this hop because it forces me to use my older TE sets to create!  There are so many sets I just love, but don't use as often because of newer sets that are released.  So, for today's hop, I decided to use the Love Everywhere set.  I also used the fabulous sketch created by super sweet Sankari

For the background of the card, I used the Hearts Impression Plate.  The house was stamped in Crumb Cake ink to match the Kraft cardstock on the card.  The paper is from the So Sophie Savvy Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I had to add the extra square to the sketch since I couldn't fit the sentiment anywhere that I liked.  :)  The Medium Scallop Border Die was used on the Kraft piece of cardstock.

We hope you enjoy the hop!  To find out more information on how you can participate in the monthly hop, visit HERE.  One random participant will receive a FREE Taylored Expressions stamp set of their choice and another creation will be chosen to be featured in an upcoming TE newsletter!!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

One Person Mojo

Today when I was finally able to play along with the Mojo Monday Sketch, I decided to choose an older Verve set to use.  With Valentine's Day fast approaching, most of the cards I've been making lately have been for the occasion.  I decided to use a set that wasn't necessarily created with Valentine's Day in mind, but it works just as well!  I used One Person

I also used the Sizzix Flowers 3-D Bigz Die.  I added some pearls to the centers of the flowers as well as to either side of the stamped frame.  The paper is the Be Loved Collection from My Mind's Eye.

If you haven't been over to the Verve Blog lately, last Friday Laurie kicked off the Diva Dare!  We'd LOVE for you to play along!  As always, there are Verve prizes for both those who play along AND those who comment!  Thanks for stopping by today!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- One Person (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine), Pure Poppy (PTI); Paper- Be Loved Collection (My Mind's Eye); Accessories- Flowers 3-D Bigz Die (Sizzix), Pearls (Kaisercraft);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Only As High

It's Sunday and I was able to play along with Karen's Sweet Sunday Sketch!  That makes for a great Sunday for me!  :)  Can you believe it's Karen's 100th sketch?!  How awesome is that?  Congratulations, Karen!   For my card, I used the New Beginnings set from Taylored Expressions.  I just LOVE the quote from this set.  It is so inspiring!  I also used the coordinating Frame It Up 1 Die.  The paper is from the Restoration Collection from Crate Paper.

I used the Scalloped Eyelet Border Die for the scalloped border across the bottom.  The ribbon and doily transparency came from the Key Ingredients Kit in which I got the Restoration Collection.  If you don't know about the Key Ingredients Subscription, you can find all of the information HERE.  I also used a Heart Pin to add a little something to the bow.  The rose image from the set was stamped three times and cut and layered for dimension.  Then, I added glitter to make it nice and sparkly!

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- New Beginnings (Taylored Expressions); Ink- Fresh Snow (PTI), Bamboo Leaves (Memento); Paper- Restoration Collection (Crate Paper); Accessories- Scalloped Eyelet Border Die, Frame It Up Die 1, ribbon, Heart Pin (Taylored Expressions);  Finished card measures 4.25" square
