I have a card to share today using one of my favorite embossing techniques. I call it the Dry Emboss Brayering Technique. It's really simple and I just love the results! I started by embossing Sugar Cube cardstock with the Winter Flurry Embossing Folder from Taylored Expressions. Next, I just brayered ink all over the cardstock. The snowflakes which are "embedded" in the cardstock aren't touched by the brayer, so they remain white.
I also used the Penguin Pals set for my card. This is an old favorite that I haven't used in a while!! :) Thanks for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday
Do you ever find that you're inspired to create, but you never get around to acting on that inspiration? That happens to me all the time! I look at Pinterest mostly when I'm sitting at the bus stop or at a doctor's appointment. . .or any time that I'm away from home and waiting somewhere. I find LOTS of inspiration there, but I never seem to find extra time to act on it! :( I was able to create a birthday card because I have some birthdays coming up and will be needing cards!
This card uses a sentiment from In & Out Birthday from Taylored Expressions. I was inspired by THIS CARD by Melissa Sauls on the TE Pinterest Board. I loved how Melissa's card had a border stamp as the focal image, so I was inspired to create a card that needed no coloring! I thought border dies would substitute well for a border image. I used the Reach for the Stars Border Die as well as the Lots of Dots Embossing Folder for the Cherry Pop cardstock. Other cardstock colors used are Cookie Monster, Peapod and Lemon Meringue.
I hope you find time to be inspired! Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!

Today's spotlight is on the November 2014 Release Collection, so grab a treat and hop along! I used the Psalm 119:105 Plain Jane along with the candle image from Pinecone Christmas to create this CAS card.
I used a striped embossing folder to emboss just the bottom portion of the card. Thanks for stopping by all week! I hope you enjoyed the spotlights! Next on the hop is Stacey!!

Verve November 2014 Spotlight Hops - Day 3
DAY 3 - Wednesday, 11/19/14
Welcome back to Day 3 of Verve's November 2014 Spotlight Hops! The Verve Divas and special guests are back for another day of spotlighting the new holiday release! And the wait is almost over... everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store tomorrow (Thursday, 11/20). So come hop along with us and see our first looks at today's featured products! If you came from Diana's Blog, you're in the right place!
Today's spotlight is shining on the Weary World set and Psalm 119:105 Plain Jane illustrated by Julee Tilman, as well as the coordinating Starry Stable Die Set. For my card today, I used the Weary World set along with the Starry Stable Die Set. I went with a very simple card and added an accent in the star by diecutting the inner star out of gold paper. This image would also be beautiful colored in, but I thought it looked just as beautiful uncolored. Next on the hop is Stacey!!

O Holy Night
I LOVE the Lace Chain Border Die from Taylored Expressions. I use it when I create a frilly, feminine card. I decided to use it on something different this time. I paired it with the Seasonal Trees Die and a sentiment from Sing of the King to create a Christmas card. I think it worked rather well! I probably never would have put these together, but I think they really work!
Most of the card is made from Sugar Cube cardstock. The "night sky" was created with Poppy Seed cardstock and Silver Stickles. I hope you were inspired to use a die or sentiment in a different way than you normally would today! Thanks for stopping by!
