Taylored Expressions April Sneak Peeks: Greetings For Her and Silhouette Stems 6

It's Day 1 of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions and we have a lot of fabulous new products to share with you!!  Today I am featuring a new stamp set called Greetings For Her as well as a new die called Silhouette Stems 6!  My first project features a greeting from Greetings For Her.  As you can guess, all of the greetings in this set are for women whether they be a sister, an aunt, a mother. . .you get the picture.  :)  I used the "generic" sentiment in the set because later I can add the "sister, aunt or mother" sentiment above the "you're the best".  :)

This card also uses two new dies.  The flowers were created using the Silhouette Stems 4, and the background was created using the Spotted Cutting Plate, which I used as an impression plate on this card using the Dry Emboss Brayering Technique.  I used the Melon Melody Kaleidacolor ink pad to get the gradient of color on the background.

The second project I have to share today uses the Silhouette Stems 6 die as well as two other new dies!  I cut the flowers in red and green cardstock and then cut just the flowers off the red and attached them over the green die cuts to get the two-color flower.  The background on this card was created using the NEW Spotted Cutting Plate.

I LOVE the look this cutting plate gives to a card.  It adds some interest without being too much, I think.  The sentiment is from the NEW Sketched Blooms set and it is stamped onto a piece that was die cut with the NEW Band It 2!!  I know I'll be using the NEW Band It 2 Die a lot!  I love the first one and have no doubts this one will be my new favorite!  ;)

Hello

I was playing with the latest Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions, called Take a Spin, and tried using it in a different way.  I tried using it as a background stamp and created a one layer card.  I decided to use black ink to create the "background" and add some red accents later.

I thought the patterns within the stamp itself would add some interest even when stamped in one color.  The circle is kind of large for a card, so this might work best on a scrapbook page, but it turned out okay for a card.  After I stamped the large circle, I filled in with one of the little circle sentiments.  Next, I used the coordinating die set, Spin It To Win It, and die cut hearts out of the card.  I placed red cardstock behind so that the red would "peek" through the hearts.  The center heart is on foam tape so it stands up a bit.  I finished the card with some red bling and some Baker's Twine.

This definitely a different way to use this stamp set, but I kinds like how it turned out!  :)   I hope you've been inspired to use your stamps in a non-traditional way!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!!

Clip It On

I have a different project to share with you today, but it's super simple. . .you can make your own in no time!! :)  I was playing around with the Clip It On Die set from Taylored Expressions and thought I'd use them to make a "photo garland".   I die cut five of the same clips and then die cut my daughter's name using the Chunky Alpha

I decided on five pictures of her that I could attach the clips to and then attached them to the ribbon to create a garland.  It was kind of hard to get a good picture of it with the glare and being able to fit the whole garland in the photo.  :)   The die cut letters are mounted on the clips with foam tape.  As I said, this was a simple project and lots of fun!  Arwen hasn't seen it yet, but I'm sure she'll love it!  ;)  I hope you've been inspired!

Thanks for stopping by today.  Have a wonderful day!

Verve March Diva Dare

The March Diva Dare is happening over at the Verve Blog.  This month's theme is "Do the Polka"!  I just LOVE polka dots. . .and I love to polka!  LOL  What a fun Diva Dare, right?   For my card, I used Text Objects.  The papers are from the Life of the Party Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I started by stamping the medium heart onto the polka dot patterned paper and cutting it out.  Then I used the Bountiful Backgrounds set and stamped the polka dot pattern and stamped and cut out the smaller heart.

I die cut a large heart using the Jotted Heart Die.  The pink piece of patterned paper has the large polka dots, which make me smile!  :)   As finishing touches, I added the little button as well as the scored dotted line at the top of the card.

We'd LOVE for you to play along!  Head on over to the Verve Blog to read the details on how to play along. . .and for some inspiration from the rest of the Divas!!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!

Taylored Expressions March Release Day: Bloom Where You're Planted

It's RELEASE DAY!!  All of the products you've seen over the last few days are NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store!  I have one more project to share with you before you head over to the store!  ;)  This uses the NEW Bloom Where You're Planted Dies.

I created these magnets for my daughters' lockers.  I started by diecutting 3 bases using the NEW Bloomin' Stacklets 2.  Next, I die cut all of the pieces to the flower pots using the Bloom Where You're Planted Dies.  I made each flower a little different in either color or shape.  Finally, I used the NEW Chunky Alpha to personalize each one with their initial.

On the back, I adhered a magnet that's meant for business cards.  There is already an adhesive on them that you peel off the backing and stick your business card to. . .but in this case, they worked well for the back of the Bloomin' Stacklet 2

Thanks for stopping by all week!  I hope you've been inspired and enjoyed seeing the new products!  The rest of the Baker's Dozen also have projects to share today!  HAPPY SHOPPING!

Taylored Expressions March Sneak Peeks: Graphic Greetings Mom & Beauty Lies Within

I hope you've been enjoying the sneak peeks this week!  Everything you've been seeing will be available for purchase tomorrow, March 6!!  Today I have two projects to share with you.  The first uses the NEW Graphic Greetings - Mom

I used papers from the Memorable Collection from My Mind's Eye.  I stamped and embossed Graphic Greetings - Mom onto vellum in white.  I adhered the vellum over the patterned paper and added rhinestones to the corners.  The little butterflies are from a new die set being released called In Flight Overlays. I love how the butterflies add a subtle little sweetness!  :)

My second project for today uses the new die set called Beauty Lies Within.  If this die looks familiar, it's because it's the die form of the stamp from Embrace Beauty.  I die cut the image a number of times out of different colored cardstocks so that I could piece them together for this multi-color image.

The little flowers I added are from the Flower Box Sprigs & Flowers Die Set.  The sentiment is from the NEW Shade Tree Sentiments set.  I just LOVE how this die set can be used on a simple card and add so much.  I just love all of the dies in this set!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen!  Please be sure to visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen for more!
