TE Release Party Continues!

The TE Release Party continues!  You'll find inspiration presented by the Baker's Dozen featuring everything that is Fresh Out of the Oven from Taylored ExpressionsJust visit the blogs in the link list at the bottom of this post to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has created!

Today I am featuring Moka Dylan, a merman to go with the new mermaid!  What a catch, huh? ;)  Moka Dylan was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Moka line and it is a petite set. Petite panels are  3" x 5". Six Petite sets fit into a Petite Storage case which is a nice way to keep them together!

I colored the image with Copic markers.  It was die cut using the Take Note Frame 3 Die.  The papers are from the Paradise Beach Collection from Echo Park.  I added some white pearl dots with a White Pearl Pen.

I hope you've enjoyed this release week!  Thanks for visiting each day and I hope you've found inspiration!

TE July Release Party!

Come join the party! You'll find lots of inspiration presented by the Baker's Dozen featuring everything that is Fresh Out of the Oven from Taylored Expressions!  Yes, that's right!  All of the new products are available for purchase now!

Today I have a project using the Coconut Cove set.  Coconut Cove is #7 of Doug's Adorable Abodes.  It was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line and was concepted by Jami Sibley.  Coconut Cove contains the perfect little beach hut!  Who wouldn't love to spend time at the beach in this adorable dwelling?  In fact, we just got back from vacation at the beach so I thought I'd use this set to create a scrapbook page.  Arwen celebrated her birthday while we were on vacation and this is a picture of her having her birthday "Mock-a-rita" complete with fancy umbrella!  ;)

I used the Paradise Beach Collection from Echo Park once again because I just LOVE the papers.  I paper pieced the abode as well as the palm trees.  I couldn't help but sing "Don't Worry, Be Happy" the whole time I was creating this page.  :)  The sun was created using the Garden Party Blooms Die Set 2.  I die cut the circle using Plain Circle Nestabilities

Be sure to stop and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has to share with you today!

Taylored Expressions July Release Day

All of the new Taylored Expressions products are now available in the Fresh Out of the Oven Department.  I have two projects featuring 2 of the new sets.  My first project uses the Under the Sea set.  Under the Sea was illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  It's an adorable set including lots of sea creatures and punny sentiments.  Being that I'm a crab (Cancer the Crab with a July birthday, that is) I had to use the crab from the set.  I used papers from the Paradise Beach Collection from Echo Park as well.  The bottom piece of patterned paper was embossed using the new Waves & Bubbles Impression Plate

I colored the image with Copic markers.  I used different colors for dots to create the sand.  The image was die cut with the Bracket Frame Die and the "sorry" part of the sentiment was die cut using one of the labels from the Shopping Bag & Labels Die Set.  I also had to stick the Wave Border Die in there somewhere!  :) I added a part of a little die cut Fly Your Flag 2 as an embellishment in the upper right corner.

My second project for today uses the Moka Pearl set.  Moka Pearl was illustrated by Nancy McKinney and is part of the Moka line.  She's an adorable little mermaid!!  I created a little 3x3 notecard set and box.

I colored Pearl with Copic markers.  I cut Pearl out for the cards.  The paper is from the Paradise Beach Collection from Echo Park.  Can you tell I just LOVE this paper?  I followed the 3x3 Notecard Tote Tutorial at Splitcoast to create the box.

I hope you've enjoyed my creations today!  You can find all of these products in the TE Store NOW!!  Thanks for stopping by and Happy Shopping!

Taylored Expressions July Sneak Peek

It's Sneak Peek time at Taylored Expressions and today I'm featuring the new set, Adventure Land.  If you're looking for a fun set for the kid in all of us and one that brings back memories of those carnivals and amusement parks you used to visit as a kid (or still do), this is the set for you!   Adventure Land was illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line and concepted by Sankari!!

I just love the images in this set and the sentiments are wonderful!  The card I have created for today is perfect for encouragement.  As we all know, things don't always go as expected.  I know I need to remember that sometimes I have to just throw my hands up and enjoy the ride!  ;)

Mojo Grace

This week's Mojo Monday Challenge has a round or square option.  I chose the square card.  I used the Grace Plain Jane from Verve for my card.  I paired it up with papers from the Awesome Collection from Simple Stories.

I stamped the sentiment and die cut it using Plain Circle Nestabilities.  With the sentiment piece still in the die, I sponged around the edges.  I used Scalloped Square Nestabilities to matte the star panel.  The ribbon is some Stampin' Up ribbon that I had in my stash that worked with the colors in the papers.

Play along with the Mojo Monday Challenge!  It's a lot of fun. . .I promise!  In case you didn't know, dies and coordinating sets are on SALE now at Verve until July 4th!  Follow the link to check it out!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Grace Plain Jane (Verve Stamps); Ink- Espresso (Stampin' Up); Paper- Awesome Collection (Simple Stories), Dark Chocolate (Papertrey Ink); Accessories- Plain Circle Nestabilities, Scalloped Square Nestabilities (Spellbinders), ribbon (Stampin' Up), Gold Pearl Pen (Viva);  Finished card measures 4.25" square

Enjoy the Ride

Today I have a happy little card to share.  It has bright colors and a happy image.  The image and sentiment are from the newly released Bikes & Trikes set from Taylored Expressions.  I love the image of this bicycle.  I paired it with papers from the May Key Ingredients Subscription.

I stamped the bicycle and then die cut it using Plain Circle Nestabilities.   While it was still in the die, I sponged some yellow ink along the inside.  I die cut a Scallop Circle Nestabilities to matte the circle image on.  I colored the seat and pedals of the image with a Copic marker.  The sentiment was stamped on a piece I die cut with the die from the Fly Your Flag 2 Collection.  The buttons and ribbon are all from the May Key Ingredients Subscription.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday, Arwen!!

You're So Awesome

It has been a while since I've been able to play along in any challenges.  As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, we've just moved so I'm slowly starting to get back into a routine here at home.  Still lots of boxes to unpack, but at least the moving part is over!  :)

It's Friday and that means there's a brand new Viva la Verve Challenge!  This week Janelle has a wonderful CAS Sketch for us!  I decided to pull out an older summer favorite set of mine, Happy Days.  The papers are from the Hello Summer Collection from Echo Park.

I watercolored the flowers with my Tim Holtz Distress Markers.  I added a little ribbon and some Goosebump bling as well.

Come along and play with this week's challenge!  There's always a chance to win some Verve!  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Key Ingredients

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of the Key Ingredients Hop!!  I hope you've enjoyed what you've seen with the Key Ingredients Kit so far.  You can visit the Key Ingredients blog to see lots of inspiration using these sets!

If you are new to the Key Ingredients, here's a little info on what you can expect:

Taylored Expressions Key Ingredients is a monthly kit club dedicated to bringing you the latest coordinating products for papercrafting! Each month you will receive enough coordinating patterned paper (6″ x 6″), cardstock (12 sheets of 8.5″ x 11″), 5 yards of ribbon, and various embellishments to create at least 16 cards. Our kits coordinate well with Taylored Expressions stamps, but you can also use them with stamp sets already in your collection. Simply add the image, ink, and adhesive to cook up a batch of coordinating cards!

This month is super special!! Taylor and Nancy McKinney have whipped up a very special matching stamp set that is available to Key Ingredients subscribers ONLY. And right now it’s 50% off! You can get the full details at Taylor’s blog.

My project today is a card using this month's Key Ingredients Kit along with some TE dies!  I used the Pinwheel Parade Dies along with the stems from Tiptoe Through the Tulips to create flowers.  So that the flowers would stand out a little more from the background paper, I used Layering Doily Die Medium and Layering Doily Die Small behind the pinwheels.  The grass was created with the Grass Border Die.  The sentiment was created with the Tall & Skinny Alpha Dies

The button and bling are also from the Key Ingredients Kit!  That add that extra something to the card.  Also sharing more Key Ingredients goodness today are Jodi and Jessie Rone over at the Key Ingredients Blog.  Be sure and see what they've created today!  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
