VLV You Are My Sunshine

A new Viva la Verve Sketch was posted on Friday!!  It's been a while since I've been able to play along, but I just LOVE them.  They give me a nice starting point for a card.  This week's sketch is hosted by Christyne

I used the Rain or Shine set from Verve for my card.  The patterned papers are from the Nautical Collection from Fancy Pants Designs.  I tried to make the umbrella look more like a beach umbrella for a summery card.  Along the top of the card, I used the Scalloped Trim Trio Die Set.  The hearts were created using the Heart Quartet Die Set.

Come play along with this week's Viva la Verve Sketch!  We always LOVE to see what you create!

Hello

Do you find that you never seem to have enough masculine cards in your stash?  Today I have a card to share that's a little more on the masculine side. . .no bling, no ribbon, no fluff!  LOL

I used papers from the Be Different Collection from Fancy Pants along with the June Stamps of the Month, Bright Boutique.  I thought the colors and patterns were a little more "manly".  I stamped and hand cut the phone.  The arrow was stamped and embossed in white onto the card to double as the "phone cord" and pointing to the sentiment on the card.

I die cut one of the banners using the coordinating die set, Hi, Hey Hello and stapled it to the phone panel on the card.  Thanks for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful weekend!!

I Dig You

Three out of my four kids are readers now, and they LOVE to read!  Isaac just finished kindergarten and he loves to read books to us.  :)  I was playing around with the I Dig You dies from Taylored Expressions and decided to make a few bookmarks for the summer!

Isn't the little pail and shovel adorable?  I thought they would make great bookmarks for my kids to use during the summer, and the sentiment from Big Bold Summer is the perfect sentiment!

I used the Banner Stacklets 3 to create the bookmark bases and then stamped the sentiment.  After I assembled the bookmarks and added the little pails and shovels, I tied some ribbon on the top along with some Baker's Twine.  A simple project, but something that comes together quickly. . .and I know my kids will love them!  Thanks for stopping by today!  I hope you've been inspired to create!  Have a wonderful day!

Taylored Expressions and Fancy Pants Designs

Good morning!  I hope your day is off to a great start!  I have a couple of projects to share with you today!  They use wonderful paper collections from Fancy Pants Designs along with dies and/or stamps from Taylored Expressions!!

These projects are being featured on the TE Blog today, so you'll want to head over there for the giveaway information!!  :)  The first project uses the Nautical Collection from Fancy Pants along with the Mischief Maker At the Beach set from Taylored Expressions.   I also used the Little Bits- Sandcastle and Little Bits - Beach Umbrella dies from TE.

The second project I have uses the Be Different Collection from Fancy Pants.  I thought the Sack It To You Die and Sack It - Monster Die would work PERFECTLY with these papers!  I used the corrugated paper that came in the collection to create the monster's face.

The little monster up on the star was cut from the actual patterned paper.  I used the Star Stacklets from TE to create the tag.

Doesn't that monster from the patterned paper work perfectly with this die?

Taylored Expressions is giving away a Butterfly Parade stamp set along with a Fancy Pants Designs As You Wish Collection Kit! To enter, visit the TE Blog

Taylored Expressions June Release Day: You Are Here

It's RELEASE DAY at Taylored Expressions!  If there's any "must-haves" that you've seen this week, they are now available for purchase in the TE Store!!  I have one last project to share with you today.  This card uses the You Are Here set.  You Are Here is a great set for scrapbooking as well as for cards wishing someone a wonderful trip or even announcing that you have moved!  It coordinates with the die from the Stars & Stripes with Coordinating Die set

On this card, I started by creating the background with the Hexagon Cutting Plate, thought I used it to emboss the design rather than cut it.  I stamped and die cut the image of the United States and colored in the places where the recipient with visit on their trip.  The "Road Trip" frame was created with the Pockets & Pages Fab Frames Summer Dies.  The star on the bottom right was created using the Pockets & Pages InstaSquares.  Aren't these some fun new dies?  I just LOVE them!

Be sure to visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see what they've created for today!  I know you're going to LOVE all of the new products!  Thanks for stopping by today and HAPPY SHOPPING!

Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: Wash, Dry, Repeat and Notable Blooms

Welcome back for the last day of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions.  Have you been enjoying all of the new products?  Everything we're sharing with you will be available for purchase tomorrow, Thursday, June 5th at 8am Pacific!  Today I have two more projects for you!  The first uses a new set called Wash, Dry, Repeat.

Wash, Dry, Repeat is fun set that has to do with every woman's dream. . .cleaning!  LOL  Just kidding!  (about the woman's dream part)  It IS a fun set, though, that will be sure to get a giggle out of any recipient!  For my card, I used the washer image.  I just LOVE this sentiment.  :)  I stamped and colored the washer and then die cut it using the the Wash, Dry, Repeat Coordinating Dies.  For the background of the card, I used the Lattice Cutting Plate.  It is a new fave for me!!  :)  I've even used it on my next card!

My second creation today uses the Notable Blooms set.  Isn't this set just beautiful?  I LOVE the flower sprays!  After stamping and coloring the flowers, I used the Notable Blooms Dies to die cut the flowers.  The sentiment was stamped, die cut and then the edges of the circle were "roughed up" a bit.

I used the Lattice Cutting Plate again on this card.  I LOVE how well it goes with the Notable Blooms set.  It's like they were made for each other!

Taylored Expressions is celebrating Release Week with some fabulous giveaways! Visit the TE Blog (insert link: http://tayloredexpressions.blogspot.com/) each Sneak Peek Day this week for details on how you can enter to win.
