Taylored Expressions BIRTHDAY BASH!

The Birthday Bash has started over at the Stamp a Sweet Impression Blog! The Baker's Dozen is posting challenges EVERY HOUR, so head on over and play!

My challenge is now posted! I'd LOVE for you to play along! Here is a peek of my project for the challenge! I can't wait to see what you create!

Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY!

It's RELEASE DAY over at Taylored Expressions and you can now purchase any of the new things you've seen over the past couple days!

The final peek I have to show you is of a cookie- making kit I made using the new Punchy Potions set! This set coordinates with the Classic Ovals Large Nestabilities. If you purchase the Punchy Potions Bundle, it includes the Oval Nestabilities as well as the potion bottles!

I thought it would be neat to create a cookie-making kit just right for Halloween! It includes a package of oatmeal cookie mix and some "Eye of Newt" (white chocolate chips) and "Bugs and Hisses" (raisins) to add to your "potion"! It was really quick to put together and then just wrap it up in cellophane. The set has little circle images that fit the tops of the potion bottles. So cute! For the card, I used some Smooch on the witch's skirt and tights to give it some sparkle! Smooch works GREAT on dark cardstock. . .it really shows up well! I used some more glittery chipboard letters from the Halloween Bundle and packaged this all in a pumpkin bowl that would be great to serve your finished cookies!

Don't forget to stop and see the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see their projects for today!

Also, remember that the Birthday Bash is now in full swing over on the Stamp a Sweet Impressions (SASI) Blog! The Baker's Dozen will be posting challenges every hour today, so head on over and play! My challenge is scheduled to go off at 2pm Eastern today! (11am Pacific) We can't wait to see your creations! Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 2

It's Day 2 of Sneak Peeks with the Baker's Dozen and today we're featuring two new sets that will be available for purchase Saturday, September 5th!

My first project set features Spooky Expressions! There are lots of fun images and sentiments in this set. Perfect to get your spooky treats all ready for Halloween! One of the things that is included in the Spooky Expressions Bundle are these really cool, glittery chipboard letters! I used them for the sentiment on my card. You will also LOVE the Halloween Key Ingredients packed full of Eerie Basic Grey paper and coordinating Prism cardstock! I used a Window Treat bag for my Skittles treat.

The other project I have for you today features the Trick or Sweet II stamp set! Remember the first Trick or Sweet stamp set from last year? Well, it is so well-loved that Taylor came up with a second version! You will love all of the new little Cuppie images! I just HAD to use this image and sentiment because it just makes me giggle every time I read it! LOL There will also be a Trick or Sweet II Bundle available!

Are you in the Halloween spirit yet? If not, stop and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen have to show you today and you'll definitely be in the spirit! :)

Sharon Harnist and, of course

Tomorrow is RELEASE DAY, so I hope to see you back then for my final project AND to play along with my Birthday Bash Challenge!

Weekend Sketch Challenge #96

Wow, the weeks are just flying by! Another Friday and time for another Weekend Sketch Challenge!

Today I ended up with a very colorful "scrappy" card. I used pieces from my scrap bin to put this card together. All of these pieces happen to be from the Indian Summer Fall Stack from Die Cut With a View. I just love the glitter and foil on the patterned papers. The sentiment is the Romans 12:13 Plain Jane from Verve Stamps.

Check out what Beate, Cambria, Jenn, Laurie, Lori, MaryJo and Sharon have created using this week's sketch. We hope you'll find time to play along! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Romans 12:13 Plain Jane (Verve Stamps); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Indian Summer Fall Stack (DCWV); Accessories- ribbon (Taylored Expressions), circle punch (Marvy Uchida); Finished card measures 4.25" square

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 1

It's time again to share some sneak peeks with you of new Taylored Expressions sets that are going to be released Saturday, September 5th!

Today's sneak peek is of the newest in the Taylored Expressions Giving Tree charitable program, The Places You'll Go. For each stamp set sold, Taylored Expressions will be donating $7.00 to the Books for Kids Foundation. The mission of the Books for Kids Foundation is to promote literacy among all children with a special emphasis on low-income and at-risk preschool-aged children. Books for Kids creates libraries, donates books, and partners with literacy programs to develop the critical early foundation and skills which young children need to be successful in life. For the months of September, October and November when you purchase this set you'll be helping to support the Books for Kids Foundation.

I just LOVE this set. It is adorable, but I love it because it's perfect for this time in my life right now. Savannah, my oldest, just started kindergarten and is learning to read! My project today is just for her. She LOVES Dr. Suess and we read many Dr. Suess books! I couldn't think of a more fitting card for her. I used the Places You'll Go Key Ingredients too! Included in the Key Ingredients is this adorable chipboard book. I decided I would make a little scrapbook for her that we will fill up with kindergarten memories. I've started the first two pages with pictures of her first day! :) See how proud she is of her new backpack! LOL
