Here is another one of the pages I made for the August Scrappy Sunday Challenge at Papercraft Planet.  This is a picture of Isabelle.  She was sitting in the high chair whining to be let out.  I just couldn't resist taking a picture of that face!  LOL  This pages uses The Promise Collection from Shabby Princess Designs.

On another note, for any of you who are local, we are having a yard sale this Saturday from 8am-2pm. We will have LOTS of stamps and papercrafting supplies available, so please stop by if you're in the area!

Summer Girl

As you all know, I've recently become addicted to digital scrapbooking.  :)  I especially love using templates!  So, I got a message yesterday from my sweet friend and fellow Verve Diva, Jen Tapler.  She had no idea that I had started digital scrapbooking.  She told me she hosts the Scrappy Sunday Challenges at Papercraft Planet and thought I might like to play along.  Boy, would I!!!  I had no idea these challenges even existed, so imagine my excitement!  Each month there is a set a four templates that you can download (for free) and create your pages!  You can even win prizes for completing all four pages!  This is one of my pages for the August Scrappy Sunday Challenge.  I'll share my other three pages with you throughout the week.

For this page, I used the July 2009 Collection and Rainbow Sherbet Collection by Crystal Wilkerson.  The pictures were just a day spent in our backyard taking photos of the kids.

Thanks, Jen, for letting me know about the challenge!  I LOVE it!

CAS Little Things

Today I have a card using the latest Fall To Layout from the Clean and Simple Stamping Blog.  I used my long time favorite Papertrey Ink set, Little Lady.  I stamped the ladybugs in Sweet Blush and Berry Sorbet ink.  I added some glitter to the dots on the ladybugs and as a finishing touch, I used my ScorBug to create the "embossed stitching" across the top and bottom of the card.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a fabulous weekend!

Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY!

Today is RELEASE DAY at Taylored Expressions!  Everything you've seen "peeked" the last couple of days is now available!
Today, I have a couple of projects to show you using the Take Note set and coordinating frame die.  For this card, I combined the Take Note set with the Chillax set.  The paper is from the That 70's Project Pantry (The Doodlebug Feeling Groovy Collection).
For my second project, I went with another idea I had for creating a face with the frame die.  :)  Meet Frankendie!  For his hair, I used the Martha Stewart Grass Border punch.  The die was also used for the "sign" as well as the tabs along the left side of the card.
I used some googly eyes and some scraps of black cardstock to create the mouth.  Frankendie's hands were created by cutting just the ends off of a diecut piece.  I used the Basic Grey Eerie Collection for my card.

I put together a sentiment from the Take Note set as kind of a "Halloween Warning" on the sign.

Included in this release are:

Felt Trios - Taylored Expressions is proud to offer 9" x 6" sheets of wool blend felt in lots of yummy colors. This felt works wonderfully with our dies. Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 2

It's Day 2 of Sneak Peeks at Taylored Expressions and today I have to show you a couple of projects using the Tweet Hearts set.  This set was designed by Nancy McKinney and inspired by the Paisley Parade patterned paper that we used in our July Key Ingredients.  What's great about this set is with the bold images, there is no need to color!   I used the three circle images in the set along with a "stem" for a birdbath to create this tree.  I also used one of the same circles to create the sun.

The second project I have to show you also incorporates the die I used yesterday that coordinates with the Take Note set.  These exclusive dies are made from American steel, manufactured in the U.S., and work in nearly every major die cutting machine on the market including the Big Shot by Sizzix and the Cuttlebug by Provo Craft.  I stamped a couple of the bird images along with the branch before cutting the image with the die.
I added some Taylor's Tiny Twinkles along the background piece and used two black Tiny Twinkles for the bird eyes.  I hand cut the black layer around the die cut piece.
You don't want to miss what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has to show you using the Tweet Hearts set!

Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 1

It's just about time for another release from Taylored Expressions and I have something very exciting to show you!  Taylored Expressions now has their own line of dies called Taylored Dies!!  For today's sneak peek, I have a couple of projects to show you using a die that coordinates with a new stamp set, Take Note.
For this project, I used the die unconventionally and created this face to go on the front of the notebook!  I picked up this notebook in a dollar bin somewhere.  The papers and stickers are all from the Summertime Project Pantry.  The "big" in the sentiment is from the Animals in Love Sentiments and "book" is from the new Take Note stamp set.
To create the face, I used the die and cut a piece from some Blush Blossom cardstock.  Then I used the pink Oval Marvy Uchida punch to punch a piece from brown cardstock and hand cut the "bangs".  The eyes, nose, mouth and ears all used various circles punches!

The next project I have for you uses the die conventionally as well as a frame and sentiment from the Take Note stamp set.  The Take Note stamp set has different sentiments that you can piece together to create the title you'd like.  It also has frames which have coordinating dies.  I used a magnetic notepad that I picked up in a dollar bin and added the "Grocery List" label to the top.  All of the sheets can be torn off from underneath the label.
You can visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen to get a peek at some of the other dies that will be available Friday, August 6th at 11am Eastern!

Mojo Meditations

I had some time to stamp this morning and was able to play along with this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  This week's sketch is also a contest!!  You could win a prize if you're one of the top picks, so head on over and play along!

For my card I used an older set called Meditations.  Since I wanted to use the sentiment for the long strip of cardstock, I had to place the scalloped circle behind that panel so as not to cover up the sentiment.  I did one of my favorite things on this card and that is to stamp in white on dark cardstock (or in this case, dark patterned paper).  I just love the look of that and I think it brings focus to the sentiment in a different way.

Hope you'll play along with the Mojo Monday sketch!  Thanks for stopping by!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Meditations (Verve Stamps); Ink- Fresh Snow (PTI), Burnt Umber (Palette); Paper- Brook Collection (Crate Paper), Bazzill; Accessories- border punch (EK Success), Mistletoe Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft), corner chomper rounder, white gel pen, paper piercer, Butterfly Embellishments (Taylored Expressions);  Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Anni-VERVE-sary Blog Hop

Can you believe that Verve is celebrating 3 fabulous years already?!  I can't!  So, we're celebrating with a Blog Hop!  What's exciting about the hop is that you can win the set that each Verve Diva used on their creation just by leaving a comment on their post before 11:59pm on Wed. 8/4!!  One lucky person who signed up and participated in our official blog hop wins a $100 Verve gift certificate!

The hop started with Julee, so if you didn't start there you'll want to head back so as not to miss a chance to win!  If you came from Melissa's Blog, then you're in the right place!!

I used the Happiness Found set for my card today.  You can win this set just by leaving a comment on this post!  I also used the Grace's Frame Cuttlebug folder on my card along with some adhesive pearls from Kaisercraft.  The sentiment was stamped using Summer Sunrise and Terra Cotta Tile ink.  I cut the sentiment out using the Labels 10 Nestabilities.  A simple, but sweet card!

Next stop on the hop is Jennifer!!  I can't wait to see what she's created!  Happy Anni-VERVE-sary!!!

Here's the Master List in case you get lost along the way!
