Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY!!

All of the new products you've seen over the last couple of days are NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store.  I have two projects to share with you today using some of those products!

The first is a little camp book using the Happy Trails set.  Happy Trails was concepted by Jami and illustrated by Doug Applegate for the Apple Doodle Ink line.  It is ADORABLE and is all about camping!!  I used it in coordination with the Notepaper & Clipboard Dies to create this little camp book.  It's ready to be filled with little pictures and jotted down memories of camping. 

I die cut multiple pages using the Notepaper & Clipboard Dies.  I added pieces of patterned paper from the 9 to 5 Collection from October Afternoon to the inside.  Trees from the set were stamped onto the cover of the book and then I added a chevron stripe using the Chevron Border Dies.  I spelled out "camp" with the Tall & Skinny #s Dies.  I punched holes in the upper corner of each page and connected the book with a binder ring.  I stamped the porcupine and campfire onto scrap pieces of cardstock, colored them with Copic markers, cut them out and mounted them to the front of the book.  After diecutting the clipboard part of the die, I stamped "Happy Trails" in white craft ink onto the tab before attaching it to the book. 

My next project for today is a scrapbook page.  I used a picture from last year since I don't yet have pictures for this year.  This page uses the Moka Gwen set.  Moka Gwen was illustrated by Nancy McKinney and is all set for the coming school year! 

I used papers from the 9 to 5 Collection from October Afternoon again.  I die cut a library pocket using the Library Pocket Die and stamped the front of it with the Hexagon Big Background stamp(also designed by Nancy McKinney) before assembling it.  I stamped the Library Card A la Carte, die cut it with the Notepaper & Clipboard Dies and after stamping a sentiment on it, tucked it into the library pocket.  I used the Chevron Border Dies along the bottom of the page and the Notepaper Border Die along the top.  I die cut "2011" using the Tall & Skinny #s Dies and glued them to the page.  Gwen was colored using Copic markers, cut out and mounted to the page with foam tape.

Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks - Day 2

 

Back for another day of peeks??  Today we're focusing on the new dies and background stamps!  I am featuring the Mark Your Spot set along the coordinating Mark Your Spot Bookmark Die.  Nancy McKinney and Taylor collaborated on this set for the Whimsical Wishes line.  It coordinates with the Doodle Notes set as well!  It is an ADORABLE set that I know you'll fall in love with just like I did!  :) 

I created a bookmark with this set and bookmark die.  I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers.  I then stamped the car and clouds onto scrap pieces of cardstock, colored them, cut them out and mounted them on the bookmark with foam tape.  I used papers from the 9 to 5 Collection from October Afternoon.

Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks - Day 1

It's time to introduce new stamps and dies coming to Taylored Expressions!  Today I have the extreme pleasure of showing you Doodle Notes and the A la Carte Notepaper sets!!  Doodle Notes was concepted by Jen Shults and illustrated by Nancy McKinney for the Whimsical Wishes line.  It was created to use in coordination with the A la Carte Notepaper set along with all of the other "school-related" products we'll be showing you over the next couple of days!  ;)

Doodle Notes is the perfect set for those quick little notes you'd LOVE to leave in your child's lunchbox as they go off to school!  Using it together with the A la Carte Notepaper makes it perfect for school!  :)  I used papers from the Happy Day Collection from Simple Stories.  I created the library pocket using the NEW Library Pocket Die.  Then I stamped the A la Carte Notepaper onto white cardstock and die cut it using the new Notepaper and Clipboard Die.  Next I stamped the image and sentiments onto the notepaper.  I stamped the image again on a scrap piece of cardstock, colored it and mounted it with foam tape over the original stamped image.  It is ADORABLE once tucked into the library pocket!  :) 

I die cut the clipboard part of the Notepaper and Clipboard Die again out of gold cardstock and stamped it with the new Chevron Big Background stamp and created a tab behind the library pocket.  I stamped the arrow and sentiment from the Doodle Notes set, cut it out and mounted it above the library pocket.  The card was finished with some hemp and some stitching.

August Diva Inspirations Blog Hop

Mojo Spread Your Wings

This week's Mojo Monday had a round or square option.  I chose the square option and decided to use a stamp set I haven't used in a while.  I used the Wings of Love set from Verve.  I probably should have used the Wavy Hearts Die Set for this, but I ended up trimming the hearts by hand. 

I've been using lots of patterned paper lately for my cards, so I decided to use regular cardstock for this card and making the patterns with stamps.  The polka dot pattern on the bottom of the green panel was stamping with the Bountiful Backgrounds set.  I opted for a button instead of another heart and then added some stitching.

Life Is Sweet

The Dare to Get Dirty Challenges are still happening!  Come find out what it's all about!  The card I have for you today is for the challenge of my sweet friend Julie Masse.  I hope you will all play along if you can - remember you have to be a Fan Club member to see the forum, but it's super quick and easy to join and the benefits are great!!
I used The Sweet Life set from Papertrey Ink for my card along with the The Sweet Life Die Collection.  The papers are from Bazzill and the Happy Go Lucky Collection from American Crafts. 

I also used the Simple Stripes Impression Plate on my card.  I finished it off with some pearls, glitter and ribbon!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!

Dare To Get Dirty

The Dare To Get Dirty Challenges have started over at Splitcoast!!  It's A LOT of fun and there are so many great challenges!!  I was able to create a card for Lydia's Challenge. 

I used the Birds of a Feather set from Taylored Expressions.  I stamped and embossed the bird cage and birds in white.  I die cut the birds using the Birds and Branch Die Set.  The frame was created using the Layering Doily Die-Large.  The background layer behind the birds and birdcage was created using the Hearts Impression Plate. 

I stamped the sentiment and then trimmed it to create a banner across the doily.  Come play along with the Dare To Get Dirty Challenges!  You'll be glad you did!

Happy Birthday!

I found a card in my files that I never shared here.  I think because it was a surprise, I sent it in the mail and forgot to post it!  This was a birthday card I created for Taylor.  It uses some of my favorite TE dies!  The "happy" was die cut using the Tall & Skinny Alpha Dies.  The "birthday" was stamped using a sentiment from the Moka Justin set. 

I just HAD to stick in that little ladybug using the Bugabee Bug Dies!!  I added some buttons and ribbon as well.  The sentiment panel was die cut using the Frame It Up 1 Die.  The papers are from Echo Park. . .they were in my scrap stash.  :)

I wanted to wish a VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Julee today.  Hope you have a wonderful day, Julee!!  Sending you big birthday hugs!

The card I made for Julee uses the latest Mojo Monday Sketch.  I used papers from the Hello Summer Collection from Echo Park.  The stamp set is Making a Statement along with the coordinating Loopy Blooms Die Set.  I created the frame with the Rounded Scallop Frame Die.  Some bling was added to the centers of the flowers for some sparkle.
