Verve June 2015 Spotlight Hops - Day 2

Today's spotlight is shining on the Deco Borders set illustrated by Chaitali Narla.  If you've come from Marisa's Blog, then you're in the right place!  I used the NEW Deco Borders set for my card.  I loved stamping with an ombre ink pad to get this effect with the background.  I stamped the sentiment by omitting each word so that I could stamp them side by side rather than how they actually are.  Finally, I used some of the Aqua Skies Shaker Mix for the star in the center of the sentiment.

Verve June 2015 Spotlight Hops - Day 1


Verve June 2015 Release Spotlight Hops

DAY 1 - Monday, 6/15/15
Welcome to Verve's June 2015 Spotlight Hops!  This week the Verve Divas and a few special guests will be spotlighting 5 new sets, 2 plain janes and 4 new die sets! Today's spotlight is shining on the Get Together set illustrated by Julee Tilman and the new Psalm 19:14 plain jane.  If you've come from Marisa's Blog, then you're in the right place!  For my card, I used a sentiment from the Get Together set along with the little butterflies image.  I stamped them onto a piece of black cardstock die cut with the Curvy Bookplate Die.  I used some sequins from the Pink Sparkle Sequin Mix and ribbon from the Stormy Skies Ribbon Collection.

Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY!!



It's Release Day at Taylored Expressions!!  Everything we've been sharing with you all week is NOW available in the TE Store!!  I have one more project to share with you today!  It uses the NEW Build a Scene - Rolling Waves.  These dies are a lot of fun.  They make a fun water scene with the different wave patterns and the stitching.

For my card I used the Ride the Wave set.  I stamped the surfer on a piece of acetate that is wrapped around the card.  I also used the NEW Bloomers 1 to add a little tropical flower feel.  :)  Don't you love how the stitched waves look when layered together?  I do!

Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: Berry Special and Summer Sunnies


Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  I hope you've been enjoying the peeks so far!  Remember that everything we've been sharing with you will be available for purchase tomorrow, Thursday, June 4 at 8am Pacific!  I have two more projects to share today.  The first uses the NEW Berry Special set along with Little Bits - Fruit.

I used a sentiment from the set that coordinates with the pear die from from the Little Bits - Fruit.  The background was created using the Bead Board Embossing Folder and the polka dot piece of paper was die cut using the NEW Peek-a-Boo Circles Die.  It adds a fun detail to the card with the stitched circles! The sentiment is stamped on a piece that was die cut using a die from the Pockets & Pages Essentials 4x6.

I thought this sentiment would work well for an anniversary card.  I used a sentiment from In & Out - Wedding along with the coordinating die from the Think Happy Thoughts Stamp & Die Combo to add an inside sentiment.

The second project I have for you uses the NEW Summer Sunnies die.  Summer Sunnies are adorable sunglasses that can be made into a shaker like I've done on this card.  I filled the shaker with pieces from the NEW Little Bits - Summer Confetti.  I just LOVE the little suns and sunglasses!

The sentiment is a partial sentiment from the Big Bold Summer set.  I also used the NEW Build a Scene - Rolling Waves die.
