Taking It Clean and Simple

Welcome back for Day 2 of the April sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I have two more cards to share with you today!  Both of these cards happen to be clean and simple. . .not lots of embellishments on layers.  The first uses the NEW Clocked Out Grumplings Stamp & Die Combo.  If you love our previous Grumplings sets, you'll love this one as well.

Adorable little grumpy animals with snarky sentiments, who doesn't love that?  LOL  I stamped, colored and die cut the little grumpling using the coordinating die.  I sponged a little background on the card base and adhered the grumpling with foam tape.  The bottom of the card was embossed using the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

The second project I have to share today uses the NEW Sky High - Airplane along with a sentiment from Plot Twist.  I started by creating a cloud template using the Cloud Border Die and sponged clouds onto the card base.

I die cut the airplane out of Candy Corn, Oreo, Earl Grey, Cherry Pop and Sugar Cube and assembled all the pieces.  The awesome sentiment is from the NEW Plot Twist set and I think it goes very well with the airplane!  The last little touch was a few Build a Scene Sequins.

Flowers, Flowers!!

Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  I have two more projects to share with you today and both have to do with flowers!!  The first projects uses the NEW Simply Stamped Peonies.  As with the previous sets of Simply Stamped line, Simply Stamped Peonies is a multi-step stamp set with which you can layer colors to give dimension and depth to an image.

For my card, I used two different shades of yellow and then a more orange ink for the last layer.  The end result gives beautiful depth to the flowers.  There is also a coordinating die set that will be available for purchase separately called Simply Stamped Peonies.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed on Oreo cardstock that was die cut using the Stitched Circle Stacklets.  The card base was embossed used the Bead Board Embossing Folder.

The second project I have to share today uses the previously released Hydrangea Bouquet.  This month, we are introducing the coordinating Hydrangea Bouquet Die!  It makes using this image so much simpler when you don't want a one layer card.

I used some Earl Grey and Oreo cardstock for this card and embossed the sentiment in white.

Love You To Pieces!!

Hi there!  Welcome to the April Sneak Peeks for Taylored Expressions!  I can't believe it's April already, but I'm excited to share some new products with you!  I have two projects to share today.  The first uses the NEW Quilted Cutting Plate!!  I am not a quilter myself, but I do love the look and love when that's translated to a card or scrapbook page.

For my card, I used papers from the Double the Joy 6x6 Paper Pack and die cut multiple patterns using the Quilted Cutting Plate.  I pieced them together to get my "card quilt" background.  The image of the coffee mugs is from the NEW Stitch By Stitch 2 set, and the sentiment is from the NEW A Thousand Stitches set.  A couple of other new products I've used on this card are the Little Bits - Needle & Thread and the Little Bits - Buttons.  All of these products work together perfectly!

The second project I have to share today uses the NEW Build a Bookmark Die Set.  The set comes with multiple pieces with which you can create your own bookmark.  I chose to use some of the flowers and butterfly from the set, but there are quite a few other dies to choose from!

I used a sentiment from the NEW Plot Twist set.  I thought this sentiment would work well for a bookmark. . .something a person can read everytime they open their book.  I created a card using the NEW Cross Stitch Embossing Folder and just added a pocket to the card so that I could slip the bookmark inside.  The recipient can just take the bookmark out of the pocket and there's no adhesive removal.
