Make It Monday - Reverse Applique
The latest Make It Monday at Papertrey Ink is Reverse Applique. I haven't been able to play along for the last few weeks, but I thought I'd give this challenge a try. I'm not a sewer at all. I have a little sewing machine, but I pretty much just stitch around the card, nothing too complicated or exciting. The thought of stitching with my sewing machine around the word "merry" was a little scary, so I opted for some faux stitching! LOL
I die cut "merry" using the Wonderful Words Holiday Dies along with "& bright" from the coordinating stamp set. I used some patterned paper from the Wonder Collection from Authentique behind the die cut word. I faux stitched around the card and sponged with some white craft ink as well. Finally, I die cut the holly and berries from the Holly Jolly Die Collection and covered the berries in Christmas Red Stickles. You can view other entries for this challenge here. Thanks for visiting!
