November Sketch For You To Try
This month's Sketch For You To Try is sponsored by Verve! I pulled out my New Mercies set along with the Christmas Blessings Plain Jane to create my card. I've been wanting to use these leafy images from New Mercies on a Christmas card. I just imagined using either red adhesive pearls or Liquid Pearls, which I used here, to create berries. I used papers from the Wonder Collection by Authentique.
I stamped the sentiment on the strip across the bottom of the sketch by inking up just "Christmas" and stamping and then just "Blessings" and stamping since the actual stamp is a two-line sentiment. As finishing touches, I added some ribbon and some faux stitching with a white gel pen. I also sprayed some homemade pearl mist onto the leaf stamped part that gives it a beautiful shimmer!
Come play along with the sketch! You can find out all of the details HERE. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- New Mercies, Christmas Blessings Plain Jane (Verve Stamps); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Ripe Avocado, Spring Moss (PTI); Paper- Wonder Collection (Authentique); Accessories- Rouge Liquid Pearls (Ranger), ribbon, white gel pen; Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"
