JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream!

It's JustRite Week at Stamper's Dream this week! The Dream Team will have projects for you all week showing off the new products that are available! Here's the schedule for the week and be sure to see what Michelle and Kimberly posted yesterday if you missed it! (Michelle has some Dreamy Treats too!)

Monday ~ Michelle and Kimberly
Tuesday ~ Michelle and me
Wednesday ~ Tosh, Kimberly, Michelle, and Denise
Thursday ~ Laurie, Cindy , Michelle, and Kimberly
Friday ~ Carolyn and Kimberly

My project for today is a vase. The "vase" is actually an empty embellishment jar. I knew I could use it for something someday! LOL I filled it with clear, flat marbles and then snipped and coiled 12 gauge floral wire to make the flower picture holders. The kids call my mom "Trishie" instead of grandma, so it was great to be able to personalize it with her name. I used the Celebrations Demi Phrases Set and the 2" Wood Stamper with Bonus 15pt Font for all of the stamping. You can find these and many other NEW JustRite Products at Stamper's Dream. Thanks for stopping by today! Don't forget to stop and see what Michelle created for today! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Celebrations Demi Phrases, 2" Wood Stamper with Bonus 15pt Font (JustRite Stampers); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko); Paper- white (Georgia-Pacific), Pink Pirouette (SU), Lemon Tart (PTI); Accessories- flat marbles, 12 gauge floral wire, Plain Circle and Scallop Circle Nestabilities (Spellbinders), Copic markers, Baby Pink and Sunshine Yellow Flower Soft

Raspberry Suite Color Challenge 2

Dawn McVey (such a sweetie!) just recently started her own color challenges and I was inspired to play along today when I saw her awesome color combo! It was to use Brown, Teal, Celery and White. I used my Anniversary Set, Everyday Classics, that arrived from Papertrey Ink and I thought it would be perfect! You can't really tell, but I used Sweet Blush on the cherry to give it a little bit of color but I think the glitter makes it look more white. Oh well, it still fits the color combo, right? :) There are also clear embossed polka dots on the card base. . .don't know if you can see those either.

If you get a chance, check out Dawn's Color Challenges. . .I know you'll LOVE them! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Everyday Classics, Polka Dot Basics (PTI); Ink- Burnt Umber (Palette), Taken With Teal, Certainly Celery (SU), Sweet Blush (PTI), Versamark (Tsukineko); Paper- Teal, Kiwi (Prism Papers), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- ribbon (May Arts), clear embossing powder; Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Prettie Wednesday

Two weeks ago, Christi challenged the Prettie Girls to create a bookmark. My favorite type of bookmark has always been the kind with the magnets on the inside so that it "hugs" the page you where you left off. I used the Simply Special set from Paper Pretties for my bookmark. I cut the bookmark using my Scallop Circle Nestabilities. I colored the image using an ink pad and blender pen. I though the ribbon gave it a soft, feminine touch.

Make sure you stop to see the bookmarks the rest of the Prettie Girls have created:

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day! Today's Featured Stamper on SCS is Beate! I just HAD to play today because you all know how much I ADORE Beate and just LOVE her creations. It took me a long while before I decided on which card of hers to CASE. I could CASE every single one! :) I finally decided on this adorable card. For my version, I changed the colors and the stamps. Key Ingredients Subscription from Taylored Expressions!

Taylored Expressions just keeps branching out! Now Taylor is offering a Key Ingredients Kit Subscription and today I have a sample of the first kit being offered! To find out how you can subscribe and get this month’s kit (plus get future month’s kits before they're even available in the store!) check out this post on Taylor’s blog!
When Taylor sent us these Key Ingredients she issued a little challenge to create anything but a card and to be sure to use one of the cute chipboard buckles in the kit.

My favorite thing about the Key Ingredients Package is that it takes away all of the thinking! If I decided to make a card set or 3D item with card, I can use the Key Ingredients Kit and everything will coordinate beautifully! For today's challenge, I used Lauren's Captured Card Case Template to create a little "briefcase" of notecards. The notecards are very simple. I just cut the Choice Buttercream cardstock that came in the Key Ingredients into four 4.25"x5.5" pieces and then added a strip of the patterned paper along with my monogram. . .DONE! Anytime I'd like to send a quick little note to someone, I just have to jot it down, slip it into an envelope and mail it! What's even better is that after making this briefcase of notecards, I STILL have a ton of paper and embellishments left in my Key Ingredients Package to create lots of other projects! You will LOVE getting this kit monthly and won't believe all of the product that's in it!

Make sure you check out what awesome projects the Baker's Dozen posted for your inspiration today:

Prettie Wednesday

Two weeks ago, Jessica challenged the Prettie Girls to make a birthday card. I decided to go with a birthday card for a boy since I seem to have a lot of boy birthdays coming up, and those kind of birthday cards are on my mind. I used the turtle from the Beach Bum set and the sentiment from Bugs and Fishes from Paper Pretties. The paper is from the Sale-a-bration Delicate Dots Designer Series paper. I thought it was perfect for a boy card.

Be sure and visit the rest of the Prettie Girls to see their birthday creations for today!

Happy Day!

Today's card has a bit of an odd color combo. LOL The papers are all pastels with a darker ribbon treatment. Sometimes I like to try different things rather than just the "usual". Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I haven't decided on this one yet! :) I used the Funny Eggs image from Penny Black along with some Prism Papers. . .all of which can be found at Stamper's Dream. Here's a little card I made as a sort-of "welcome to the neighborhood." I thought it would be cute to give the look of a new birdhouse in the tree! The papers are from the Green Stack from Die Cut With a View and the stamps are the Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates from Taylored Expressions. The birdhouse is on dimensionals so that it stands out a little more. I'm loving these papers in the Green Stack! So, so cute!

Hola Chica!

At our last Prettie Pajama Party, one of the challenges I issued was to create a scrapbook page
of yourself. When Paper Pretties came out with the Hola Chica Stamp of the Month, it made me think of a particular picture of myself from my "showbiz" days. LOL This picture was from when I played a "Chiquita Banana"-type role in a show. Pretty funny, huh?
Hola Chica is the April Stamp of the Month stamp. You can read about and sign up for the Stamp of the Month Club HERE. Each month a new Sophia is released and they just keep getting cuter and cuter! Egg-stra Special

For those of you who have emailed me about the Cadbury Mini Egg Box I created last week, you might want to hop on over to the Stamp a Sweet Impression Blog to check out an easier version! I'm working on a little tutorial for the original egg box I made, but in the meantime take a peek at this one!

Fishy Tote

This was for yesterday's Technique Lover's Challenge on SCS, to create a Treat Purse. Since I made mine a little more "manly", I call it a treat tote! LOL I used the Patterned Pets set from Inkadinkado and some Penny Lane Freebird paper from My Mind's Eye. Both of these products are available at Stamper's Dream.

Instead of adding candy to my tote, I added Goldfish crackers. They are a favorite in this house! I think they'd even be great for a non-manly treat tote. . .I know my kids would LOVE a little treat like this! Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Patterned Pets (Inkadinkado), Very Punny (SU); Ink- Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Penny Lane Freebird (My Mind's Eye), Pure Poppy (PTI), Certainly Celery (SU); Accessories- Real Red, Certainly Celery markers (SU), red grosgrain and gingham(Darice), eyelets (Making Memories)

New Verve!

New Verve is NOW available! Eight new sets and 5 new Plain Janes are available for purchase here! Here are a few projects I made using some of the new releases. This first one uses the Psalm 51:10 Plain Jane along with the With Love Cuttlebug folder.

The second card uses the Happy Easter Plain Jane along with the Miracles Blossom set. I used the Viva La Verve March Week 2 sketch with a twist. . .to use any shade of red, green and pink. Not your typical Easter card, but I do like the color combo!

The third card uses the Floral Symphony set. A bit of a different color combo with the gold.

The last project is a very simple one, but probably one of my favorites. It uses the Chocolate Bunnies set. I saw this chocolate mold in WalMart and I HAD to get it specifically for this stamp set. It's so easy to make and who wouldn't love this little chocolate bunny for Easter? You can fill the little basket with jellybeans or (my favorite) Cadbury Mini Eggs! If you'd like to see more projects using the new sets, head on over to the Verve gallery!

Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!

Cartoon Inspired

One of the challenges I issued at the Prettie Pajama Party the other night was to choose your favorite cartoon character and make a card using those colors. So, if I chose Mickey Mouse, I'd make a black, red and yellow card. Can you guess my cartoon character for this card? Probably not since sometimes the colors change a bit, but I chose Pebbles Flintstone. I always loved Pebbles. . .probably because she had red hair! LOL When I looked at different pictures of Pebbles, she mostly had on a green shirt with black spots so I went with that color combo. I used the Love You This Much set from Paper Pretties for this card. The inside of the card says "Love you." Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Love You This Much (Paper Pretties); Ink- Tuxedo Black (Tsukineko), Paper- Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Basic Black (SU), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Copic markers, brads (Making Memories), double stitched ribbon (SU), paper piercer; Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

Taylored Expressions RELEASE DAY

On the first day of sneak peeks, I told you I'd show you a project that made the Branching Out and Branching Out Coordinates sets perfect for a child. Well, here's a little set I made for my daughter. She is REALLY into Knock Knock jokes right now. . .and she makes them up herself! LOL Most of the time they don't make sense, but I laugh anyway because it's just too darn cute! :) For the box, I used the Ghirardelli Box Tutorial on SCS. I plan to fill the box with little cards containing Savannah's own knock knock jokes. I thought that would be cute and a nice piece of memorabilia for me. :) Later on we can fill it will actual knock knock jokes for her!

The paper I used for this project is from the Green Stack by Die Cut With a View. . .it is a PERFECT match for these stamp sets. If you haven't seen it, you should check it out! It's complete with trees and owls!

Sneak Peek Taylored Expressions Day 2

Today's sneak peek uses the set Sweet Spring. If you were worried that Cuppie was gone, you don't need to worry anymore! :) Sweet Spring is an adorable set filled with adorable cupcake images and sentiments. For this set, I used the Easter Key Ingredients. It took me a little while to get the dimensions correct, but I custom designed this little box just for an idea I had once I received this set.

It didn't turn out the way I originally planned, but it worked! So WHAT is in this box you're probably asking? One of my FAVORITE Easter candies. . .Cadbury Mini Eggs! I LOVE these solid chocolate little eggs and I thought they would make an adorable little treat to give to someone at Easter. I made the little "egg insert" to hold a dozen eggs in place. :) When I said this box didn't turn out how I originally planned, it's because I envisioned an egg carton, but that wasn't working out so I ended up with this box. :) I also thought the "good egg" sentiment worked perfectly for this project! Please be sure to stop by and see the rest of the Baker's Dozen today and their amazing projects using Sweet Spring!
