Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek Day 1

It's time for sneak peeks of the latest products that will be released at Taylored Expressions on Friday, February 4th!  Today, the Baker's Dozen is featuring the Cozy Cottages set along with coordinating dies, Picket Fence Die, Cloud Duo Die and the Whimsy Tree Die!!  The Cozy Cottages stamp set is the next set in the TE Giving Tree series of special stamp sets to help support various charities.

For the months of February, March and April when you purchase this set you'll be helping to support Habitat for Humanity. Through the work of Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of affordable housing. Churches, community groups and others have joined together to successfully tackle a significant social problem – decent housing for all.  Habitat for Humanity is a true world leader in addressing the issues of poverty housing, having  built more than 350,000 houses, sheltering more than 1.75 million people in more than 3,000 communities worldwide.  Please visit www.habitat.org for more information on this incredible charity. Taylored Expressions will donate $7.00 to Habitat for Humanity for each Cozy Cottages stamp set sold in the next 3 months.

Cozy Cottages is an adorable, whimsical set.  It was illustrated by Nancy McKinney.  It takes me back to being a kid and going to a local theme park, Idlewild Park, that has Storybook Forest.  I take my kids there now and get to re-live that excitement that I felt as a kid.  This stamp set will make perfect cards for my kids!

For my project, I created a card box with a set of cards as a "Welcome to the Neighborhood" gift.  I used an old packaging box and added an acetate handle to it.  I die cut the tree, clouds and picket fence using the Whimsy Tree Die, Cloud Duo Die and Picket Fence Die  and attached them to the front of the clear box.  I stamped the mushroom house image, colored it with Copic markers, cut it out and attached that to the front of the box as well.  I cut a piece of cardstock to fit inside the box, stamped the sentiment on it and then attached it inside the box with some foam adhesive so that it would give the scene some dimension.

The cards are all plain, no sentiment cards that can be used for any occasion.

Remember, the TE Giving Tree stamp sets come in sheet form and need to be trimmed.  This allows TE to donate more to charity.

Another product that Taylored Expressions has this release is a Coloring Book for kids (or kids at heart!)  The images in the coloring book are enlarged images of some of the stamps! My Tiny Chefs, Savannah and Arwen have really enjoyed coloring the images and both chose the same "house" to color.

I hope you've enjoyed today's sneak peeks!  You can see more by visiting the rest of the Baker's Dozen!

Your girls are so sweet. They are growing up fast.
Do you have bad weather today? Today everyone is home here, even Rick. Everything is iced over outside. It's 26 degrees and still drizzling.
Hugs and smiles
