You're in My Thoughts

I have a card today that I tried a little different of a technique for me.  The card uses some newly released products from Taylored Expressions.  The sentiment is from the stamp set Posh Posies.  The flowers were die cut from book paper using the new Silhouette Stems 1 and Silhouette Stems 3.  I sponged them to give them an aged look.  I used the Banner Stacklets 1 to add a panel behind the flowers.

The technique I was talking about is with the background.  I used the new Floral Cutting Plate from TE and dry embossed a piece of white cardstock with it.  After dry embossing, I took a brayer and brayered red ink over the embossed piece.  The brayer allowed the ink to only hit the "raised" portions of the paper.  I thought it gave a neat effect and added to the "aged" look of the card.  To finish it off I added a little sewing and button with some twine.

Thanks for stopping by today!  Hope you're having a wonderful Sunday!!

Charlie, this is wicked! I love that you used script paper for those flower die's.

Love the paper you used on the flowers! I really like the effect of the embossing with the cutting plates...I still haven't tried that yet. I really need to because it looks amazing!
