Taylored Expressions September Sneak Peeks: Halloween Treat Toppers and Little Bits Witch Hat

It’s TE’s sixth birthday!  Can you believe it?  I can't!  Taylored Expressions is 6 years old!!  We have LOTS to share with you this week in order to celebrate too!  To celebrate, along with new stamps and dies, we are releasing our very own line of patterned paper and coordinating cardstock, as well as our own Embossing Folders!!!  How exciting is that?  You can also visit the TE Blog for a fun sketch challenge with a $250 prize gift certificate!!

Today is all about Halloween!  :)  My first project features the Halloween Treat Toppers!   I created some fun, spooky bookmarks with windows!  They aren't exactly shaker windows, though.  I basically just sandwiched the sequins in between the transparencies so that they'd be able to be seen around the cut out images.  I started with the Banner Stacklets 2 and die cut two out of Oreo Cardstock, one out of Pumpkin Cardstock and 3 out of transparency.

I die cut the Halloween Treat Toppers out of Oreo, Pumpkin and Peapod cardstocks and then punched circle transparencies in the same sizes and attached them to the back of each treat topper.  I sprinkled some Hocus Pocus Matching Sequins in the window of each bookmark and then attached the treat topper on top.  The sentiment is from the Critters in Costume set and the patterned paper is from the NEW Hocus Pocus Paper Pack!!

My second project today features the Little Bits: Witch Hat Die.  I just LOVE the Little Bits Dies!!  They are adorable and add that little something extra to your project!  I used the Spooky Trees Cutting Plate to start.  I die cut the spooky trees out of Oreo cardstock then sponged it with white ink to give that "foggy", "eerie" look.  I thought the eyeball patterned paper from the Hocus Pocus Paper Pack worked perfectly for this project!  It looks like all these eyes are watching you from behind the trees!  LOL

The Peapod cardstock was embossing using the NEW Harlequin Embossing Folder.  The sentiment is from the Little Bits of Halloween set.  The witch hat was die cut out of Oreo, Pumpkin and Peapod cardstocks.

Thanks for visiting, crafty friends! If you'd like to see more projects and new product information, please head over to the TE Blog for a complete blog roll of our participating designers!

Charmaine, I'm a bad subscriber only leaving comments (and making your day) on TE days.... THANK you for using the treat topper dies, I couldn't figure them out but I LOVE your book marks, I know they'll look darling in my, er your bat bags along with the candy for the older kids in my neighborhood! and I love the patterned paper along the bottom! And the little witch hat is so cute on the card! I love the smaller elements, they're so versatile! And you are really good at using them, I do appreciate you sharing your creativity, even if I'm a slug at mentioning it enough!
