Taylored Expressions January Release Day: Sack It Owl and Love Makes the World Go 'Round

It's release day at Taylored Expressions!!  All of the new products we've been sharing with you this week are NOW AVAILABLE for the purchase in the TE Store!  I have two projects to share with you today.  The first uses the Sack It Owl die set along with the Tag Stacklets 2! 

I thought these would make great tags or even bookmarks.  I started by diecutting some Choice Kraft using the largest die from Tag Stacklets 2.  I die cut the piece of the owl out of different cardstocks and then pieced them together on each tag.  The sentiment is from the Sack It Sentiments set.  Before tying ribbon on the tags, I die cut and added the Tag Reinforcements to the top of the tags. 

My second project uses the Love Makes the World Go 'Round set.  This coordinates with the previously released Shake It Up globe die, but I used it here without that die.  The papers are from the Lost & Found Heirloom Collection from My Mind's Eye. 

I also used the Tag Stacklets 2, Tag Reinforcements and Heart Stacklets dies on this card.  The image was stamped and colored using Copic markers.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white on the black cardstock.

Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks: My Punny Valentine

Welcome back for another day of sneak peeks!!  I hope you've been enjoying everything you've seen so far!  All of the new products will be available for purchase tomorrow, Thursday, January 9th at 7am Pacific!!  If you'd like to see what the actual sets look like, join in our Facebook preview party tonight at 6pm Pacific!!  Today I am featuring the NEW My Punny Valentine set.  This set is perfect for little Valentine treats!

I've created little treats using one of my kids' faves. . .Gogurt!  I used the Pockets & Pages 3x4 Pocket Part of My Heart and the Pockets & Pages 3x4 Pocket XOXO as bases for the treats.  Next, I die cut a large heart and a smaller heart using the Heart Stacklets, and sandwiched the Gogurt in between them. 

The Gogurts are held in place with pop dots.  I stamped the sentiment from My Punny Valentine in white on black cardstock and embossed it in white.  The sentiment works well with the treat. . .and I'm sure you can find other "squeezable" options!  ;)

Verve January Diva Dare

The January Diva Dare is going on over at the Verve Blog and today is my day to share!!  I just LOVE creating things for Valentine's Day.  Hearts make me happy. . .and so do the colors associated with Valentine's Day.  For my card, I used the Yours Truly Collection from Pebbles because my card also plays along with the current (and all new!!) Viva la Verve Challenge and these colors worked for the color portion of the challenge.  :)

I used the Heart's Desire set from Verve for the "be mine" sentiment as well as the heart arrows.  I also used the I Heart U Die set for the letters and heart trailing down the left side of the card and the Jotted Heart Die for the big heart behind the "U".  "Be Mine" is stamped on a piece that was die cut using the Flag It Die Set.  The arrows are covered in Ruby Slipper Glitz Stickles for some fun sparkle.  So, now it's YOUR turn to get smitten!!

Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks: P&P January Script

Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks!!  Today I am featuring one of the new products in the Pockets & Pages line called Pockets & Pages - January Script.    P&P - January Script is a die set that contains words  that relate to "January".  I created a two page layout for my 6x8 album.  I used papers from the Timbergrove Collection from Fancy Pants.

The words "winter", "snow" and "january" are all part of P&P - January Script.  Another new products I used is the Square Block Cutting Plate.  I used it here to "frame" the different pictures.

On the second page I used the previously released Pockets & Pages Essentials 4x6 Die  along with the Snowflake Border Die.  I also die cut "january" in black and maroon and layered them to give a shadow look to the word.

I inserted the pages in pocket sleeves from the 6x8 Variety Pack and added them to my album.

Taylored Expressions January Sneak Peeks: Big Bold Valentine

It's time for sneak peeks here at Taylored Expressions and we've got lots of exciting products to share with you!  The first project I have for you today uses the NEW Big Bold Valentine set.  Big Bold Valentine is a fun set that is perfect for the "chalkboard" effect.  On my card, I stamped it in white craft ink and embossed it in white.  The heart it was stamped on as well as the little surrounding hearts were die cut using the NEW Heart Stacklets! 

The boxed heart that the sentiment is layered onto (the red polka dot piece), is a new die in the Pockets & Pages Collection!  It's called Pockets & Pages Part of My Heart.   I LOVE how the die cut heart from Heart Stacklets nestles into it perfectly!!  The papers are from the Yours Truly Collection from Pebbles. 

My second project today uses the previously released Sack It To You Die along with the NEW Sack It - Pig Die.  How fun is this??  In fact, there are quite a few new Sack It Dies to coordinate with the Sack It To You Die!!  Also new this month is a sentiment set that coordinates with the Sack It Dies!  It is called Sack It Sentiments. 

The little piggy box was die cut out of different colored cardstocks and then assembled and stuffed with some filler.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white.  That scalloped frame is part of the Sack It Sentiments set.  The frame coordinates with (and was die cut using) the scalloped circle die from Totally Tags.

Verve January Diva Inspirations Hop

Welcome to Verve's January Diva Inspirations Hop. It's the 5th of the month and that means it's hopping time! This year we're spicing up our monthly hops with the addition of a challenge! So in addition to a comment prize hidden along the hop, you can play along with the challenge and link up your creation for a chance to win another prize! Woohoo!

Our January challenge is:

The year is shiny and new, so let's add shimmer and shine to our cards.
Think glitter, sequins, rhinestones, pearls, heat embossing - anything with some gloss.

I used the Beautiful Kindness set for my card.   The butterfly is heat embossed in white and then covered in Stardust Stickles. . .so it's nice and sparkly!!  I added some bling as well for the butterfly flight trail.   I die cut a scalloped border using the Scalloped Trim Trio.  And what Verve card would be complete without some seam binding?  I used the white from the Signature Ribbon Collection.
