Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Handmade Gifts and Watercolor Panels

Hi there!  Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you've been loving what you've been seeing so far!  Today I have two more projects to share with you!  The first is gift packaging for any time of the year!  I used some wax bags to package homemade cookies.

I sealed the bags with the NEW Envelope Seals from Taylored Expressions.  Before applying them, though, I stamped them with a sentiment from the NEW Sealed With Love set.  The seal says "Contents will make you smile".  :)

I also created tags for the bags using the Build a Tag 1 and Build a Tag 2 sets.  The "homemade" sentiment is from the Life Is a Kitchen set and the larger sentiment is from the NEW P.S. You're Welcome.  The patterned paper is from the Rainbow Brights 6x6 Paper Pack, and then I used some Lemon Meringue, Strawberry Milkshake, Cherry Pop, Cookie Monster and Peapod.   

The second project I have today uses the NEW Watercolor Panels - Keep in Touch.  I just LOVE the new watercolor panels!  They make watercoloring SO easy!  The image is already there, you just decide on your colors and color away!

I used nice bright colors for my panel since this is such a happy card!  I added some Rainbow Bright Sequins to the panel after it dried to give it some sparkle.  The Lemon Meringue panel in the background was embossing with the NEW On the Spot Embossing Folder.

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Life Is a Kitchen and Recipe Cards

Good morning and welcome to Day 1 of sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!  We have lots of wonderful new products to share with you over the next few days leading up to RELEASE DAY on Thursday!!  I have two projects to share with you today.  The first uses the NEW Life Is a Kitchen set.  Life Is a Kitchen is a perfect set for gift packaging!  With the holidays coming up, who doesn't need a set that makes it easy to create a tag or card for a hostess or even a gift?

For my card, I created a thank you.  I ALWAYS need thank yous around the holidays!  Not just for gifts, but for people who go through the trouble of having us over, creating a delicious meal for us to share.  Life Is a Kitchen has a coordinating die set available.  I used the Life Is a Kitchen Dies for my card.  The background of the card was created with the NEW Basketweave Cutting Plate.  I didn't use it in "basketweave" fashion, but I think it works just as well without the weaving!  The sentiment was stamped on a piece that was die cut with the NEW Stitched Rectangle Stacklets!  I LOVE the new Stitched Stacklets!!  :)  The apron, flour and sugar are all part of the Life Is a Kitchen set.  I created the mixer with the NEW Little Bits - Mixer.  As you can see, they coordinated perfectly!!

The second project I have for today uses a new item at Taylored Expressions...Recipe Cards!!  Aren't they adorable?!  I LOVE the colors and images on the recipe cards.  All you have to do is fill in the information!!  ;)

I created a little gift here of the dry ingredients to make a Skillet Brownie.  Basically, it's a single serve brownie that bakes in this adorable little skillet!  On the Recipe Card, I've added the additional ingredients needed as well as the instructions for baking.

I also created a tag using the Build a Tag 2 Die Set.  The sentiment on the tag is from the NEW Flippin' Awesome set.  The word "homemade" is from the Life Is a Kitchen set.  The wisk is from the Flippin' Awesome set and after stamping, I die cut it with the coordinating Flippin' Awesome Die Set.

Tis the Season

Hi there!   I have a card to share today that uses the new 3x4 Watercolor Panels-Christmas from Taylored Expressions.  I always LOVE the look of watercolor, but I don't watercolor very often.  These panels make it very easy!!  The image is already there for you and it's already watercolor paper, so all you have to do is watercolor!!

I started by masking all of the snow with Fineline Masking Fluid.  That way, I could watercolor and not have to worry about getting the color on the snow.  The second thing I did was color the word "Season" with a size 0 paint brush.  Next was the sky!  I used a few colors of blue and the mixing of some of them resulted in that pretty purple you see.  Last I painted the trees.  Once the panel was dry, I rubbed off the masking fluid to reveal the white snow and coated it with Icicle Stickles to give it lots of sparkle.  I embossed a piece of Chocolate Truffle cardstock with the Nordic Holiday Embossing Folder.  As a finishing touch, I tied some ribbon around the card as well as some Silver Metallic Twine.
