Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: P&P June Script and Gathered Blooms

Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks here at Taylored Expressions!  Did you enjoy the peeks yesterday?  I hope so!  We've got even more for you today!!  I have two projects to share with you today!  I am featuring the Pockets & Pages June Script Dies for my first project. 

I created this two page layout that is waiting for photos that I will add this summer!  I used a lot of the new products TE is releasing this week!  On the left page, I started with the palm tree die from the Big Kahuna Die Set.  All of the words are from the Pockets & Pages June Script Dies.  I die cut the words in different colors within the color scheme I used.  Cardstock was just torn to create the "beach" and "water".

The right page was created using the Pockets & Pages Circle Showcase Die as well as the Little Bits: Sandcastle, Beach Umbrella, Popsicles, Flip Flops and Ice Cream Cone Dies .  Aren't the Little Bits dies just ADORABLE??  I just LOVE them!  :) 

The second project I have for you today uses the Gathered Blooms Cutting Plate.  I die cut out of black cardstock and colored the flowers, leaves and stems using the Inktense pencils, which show up wonderfully on dark cardstock!  I LOVE how it turned out.  It gives the look of colored metal in real life.

I don't know how well it shows up in the pictures, but the card looks rustic with the color on dark cardstock.  The sentiment is from the You Are Here set, which was featured yesterday.  I stamped and die cut the sentiment using the Band It Die.

Taylored Expressions June Sneak Peeks: Transportation and Soda Bottles

Welcome to Day 1 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  We have LOTS of exciting new products to share with you over the next few days and I can't wait!  :)  Today I have two projects.  The first uses a few new products!  This card uses a new set called Big Kahuna and coordinating dies as well as a new die set called Transportation. 

I created a little "driving scene".  I created a road and on that road is the car from the Big Kahuna, but on the same road, back a little further, there are two vehicles that were die cut using the Transporation Die Set.  There are a few more vehicles included in the Transporation Die set, but I could only fit two on this card!  ;)  The palm trees are part of the Big Kahuna set and were die cut using the Big Kahuna Die Set.  To finish off the scene, I used the new Little Bits: Sun & Clouds set to add the sun and clouds to the sky.  Aren't they just the sweetest little sun and clouds?  The last thing I added to the card was the grass using the Grass Border Die. 

My second project today uses a die set that is part of a new collection called Little Bits.  The Little Bits dies are adorable and on this card I used the Little Bits: Soda Bottle.  I just LOVE the little band and the straws that are part of the die!  So cute!!

I created the sentiment using the Little Bits of Summer set.  I pieced together a few of the sentiments as each word is separate.  I also used the Band It Die for the sentiment.  Once I placed all of the pieces on the card, I took a ruler and a white gel pen and drew the border as well as some "fizz" coming from the straws.  Wait until you see the rest of the Little Bits dies. . .they are just as adorable!!

Thinking of You

I have a card to share today using the May Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions.  The May Stamp of the Month is called Bloom & Grow. 

I just LOVE the sweet little flower images in this set.  There are the stems and two different sets of flowers that pair with the stems.  It makes it so easy to create two-color flowers without having to use markers to color the stems and flowers separately.  The papers I used are from the Sweet Girl Collection from Echo Park.  Bloom & Grow also has a coordinating die set available (sold separately) called Hello Blooms.  I didn't use the die set on this card, but it makes it even easier to create adorable things with this set.

Verve Release Day!

Welcome back for the final day of the Verve Spotlight Hops!!  All of the new products we've been featuring this week are now available in the Verve Store!!

For my card today, I used the Be Blessed set.   I just LOVE this set!  :)  I decided to create flowers using the flower and outline of the flower stamps to create a background.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white.  I added some ribbon from the Signature Collection along with some twine to finish the card.

Home Is Where the Heart Is

Recently I have needed some cards for friends who have bought new homes.  I was going through my stamps and thought the Welcome Home set from Taylored Expressions worked perfectly.  I also used the coordinating die, Build a House, to create the little house. 

The card base looks embossed, but it's not.  I actually die cut the Floral Cutting Plate in white and adhered it to a white card base.  It gives a nice texture to the card without adding too much.  I die cut a heart using the Heart Stacklets and stamped the sentiment.  Don't you just love all of the little details of the house?  I love that little white picket fence!  :)

Verve May 2014 Spotlight Hops - Day 3

Welcome to Day 3 of our May 2014 Spotlight Hops!  The Divas will be spotlighting 3 new sets, 3 plain janes and a couple dies each day through tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for some fresh Verve inspiraiton! Everything previewed this week will be available in the Verve online store on Friday, 5/23.

Today I have a card that features the Be Blessed set along with the Petal Points Die Set and the Sprightly Sprigs Die Set!  I started by diecutting the flowers using the Petal Points Die Set and then stamping the flowers in yellow and orange ink.  I arranged them on the card and then die cut and added leaves using the Sprightly Sprigs Die Set.  I stamped this beautiful sentiment from the set and then drew a border around the card to frame the flowers and sentiment.  As a finishing touch, I added some orange rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.
