Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks: Toil & Trouble and Eventful - Fright Night

 

Welcome back for Day 3 of Sneak Peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you've been enjoying the peeks so far!  I have two more projects to share with you today!  The first uses the previously released Toil & Trouble set along with the NEW Toil & Trouble Die Set!

I created a fun set of tags.  I started by using the NEW Build a Tag 5 Die.  I die cut tags out of the Build a Scene - Halloween 6x6 Paper Pack as well as from the Build a Scene - Halloween Matched Kit.  I used a few Little Bits dies to create the tags such as Little Bits - Witch, Little Bits - Witch Boot and Little Bits - Broom.

The second project I created uses the NEW Eventful - Fright Night Die as well as the NEW Sack It - Haunted House!  Aren't these fun dies?   I just LOVE them!  I die cut and pieced together the haunted house using the Sack It To You Die, Sack It - Haunted House and papers from the Build a Scene - Halloween 6x6 Paper Pack as well as from the Build a Scene - Halloween Matched Kit.  Before assembling the house, I embossed it with the NEW Weathered Embossing Folder.

The Eventful - Fright Night is a border die that is great for adding a fun border to an invitation or a card.  Here, I used it as a scene for the front of my haunted house.  Other than the Eventful - Fright Night border, all of the other pieces of the house come with the Sack It - Haunted House Die. . .the ghost, the spider, the windows.  The spiderweb in the doorway is from the Spooky Arbor Accessories Die Set.

For my card, I used The Buzz set along with The Buzz Die Set.  I used the colors from the inspiration photo.  I loved the pink, gold and black color combo!  I spritzed the background with a pink mist and then splashed some gold mist droplets onto it.  The bee was stamped and embossed in gold as well as the sentiment and the one honeycomb.  On the actual background I added some white embossed honeycombs and some pink little bees.

Taylored Expressions August Sneak Peeks: Southwest Cutting Plate and Follow Your Arrow

Hi there!  Welcome back for Day 2 of Sneak Peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you've been enjoying what you've been seeing so far!  Today I have two more projects to share with you!  The first uses the NEW Southwest Cutting Plate!  I started my card with a piece of white cardstock and sponged Distress Inks onto it.  I used Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Cracked Pistachio, all part of Mini Set 13.

Next I die cut the Southwest Cutting Plate out of Sprinkles cardstock and adhered it over the sponged panel.  I stamped a sentiment from the NEW Free Spirit set onto a piece of Red Pepper cardstock.

The feather were die cut out of Granny Smith, Oreo and Pumpkin cardstock using the NEW Fine Feathers Die Set.  I used a little detail stamp from the NEW Simply Stamped - Daisies set to add the detail to the feathers in white ink.  To finish the card, I added some sequins from the Wedding Sequins.

The second project I have for you today uses the NEW Follow Your Arrow Die Set.  This is a fun die set that contains all different kinds of arrows.  I started by die cutting a bunch out of Lollipop, Granny Smith, Lemon Meringue and Plum Punch cardstocks.  After diecutting all of the arrows, I embossed an Oreo piece of cardstock with the NEW Ikat Embossing Folder.  I LOVE this embossing folder!  I just love the pattern and texture it produces!

After arranging the arrows on the card, I stamped and embossed a sentiment from the Free Spirit set.  I also cut off a couple of the hearts from the one arrow and coated them with Glossy Accents to make little embellishments!   To finish this card off, I adhered a piece of Granny Smith cardstock along the bottom and used a white gel pen to add some faux stitching.
