Time for More Oodagoodies!

I'm long overdue for some Oodagoodies, but I just couldn't decide what to give away! Then I came across this in my craft room and thought it would be a little something different. Those of you who are Heidi Swapp fans will LOVE this. It's a whole set of her embellishments complete with a 6x6 scrapbook! I, personally, LOVE all of her "ghost-ware". . .the ghost alphabets, the ghost flowers, hearts! Some of my favorites! This set has chipboard letters, ribbons, "bling", divider tabs, scrapbooking tape. . .as you can see by the closeup picture, there are 567 pieces in this set! WOW! It really is a great set. I bought a couple and have used one for a scrapbook on my husband and I (since we didn't really have one), and it was fun and pretty easy since everything goes together! I tried to get a good picture of the whole set, but I couldn't seem to get one without any glare. Hopefully you can see well enough! So, in order to win this set of Oodagoodies, post a comment telling me the last scrapbook you made for someone, (or if you don't scrapbook) the last card set you made for someone and what the occasion was. If you've got a picture of that creation, post a link with your comment because I'd LOVE to see it! :) You have until next Wednesday morning, May 23 at 10am EST to post a comment. I look forward to reading about your last gift creation! Good luck, and have a wonderful day! As always, thank you for visiting!

Hi Charmaine! I can't believe I am the first to post! I made a little scrapbook for my daughter's fiance for Christmas last year. It's in my scs gallery, here (http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/427913?cat=500&ppuser=4155)

That looks like a wonderful bunch of goodies!!

The last album I made as a gift was probably the ones I made my neices for Christmas. I made some layouts for them to fill. I love making those for people!!

I am currently working on my Mom's Heritage album...it's far from finished, though! I can't believe how many pictures she has of her grandparents, even gret-grandparents!
The last COMPLETED album I did was for a friend's baby shower. I took all the photos, then scrapped them, so she had an album of her shower, the gifts, the guests, and some inspirational quotes on motherhood!

I've only made one scrapbook and I made it for my Dad for Father's Day 2006. It was designed by my friend Lori Renn and it was so neat! The cover started out as two sheets of plaid Chatterbox cardstock, folded into the shape of a collar shirt. Then Bazzill cardstock 'pages' were sewn into the crease. I then proceeded to fill it with pictures of the two of us when I was very young and journaling was about all the things I love about him.... what he cooks, how he remembers that I love sheep and the color purple, how much fun we have travelling the world together, etc. I then presented it to him at dinner accompanied by a shirt-shaped ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. It was PERFECT! :) (And he STILL is showing it to everyone who will stop for 2 seconds -- even construction workers at the house!)

Wow Charmaine, what amazing goodies you are giving away! I am in the finishing stages of an 8x8 chipboard album for my newest nephew who arrived on Monday. I'm just awaiting pictures of the new little man before I can call it complete. I don't have a blog yet but will try and get some pictures uploaded later.

What a wonderful idea for blog candy. I scrapbook every picture I take so I have no themed albums really. All my families photos go into an album and friends into another. Between card making and scrapbooking I don't know how I get anything done!

I am not a scrapbooker, but several years ago I made a scrapbook for my mom, of a family reunion. The last card I made for someone, was a birthday card for my SIL

First of all I want to say "WOW" that's some great stuff you're willing to part with. (yippee!! please, please pick me! Hee Hee!!)Seems I am always making cards and scrapbooks for other people so I am currently working on one for me and my hubby - this Octber we celebrate 10 years together and it's time I made a book devoted to us!

I recently made a beautiful book for my grandmother. I wrote letters to all my aunts, uncles and cousins asking them to write down their favorite memories of Grandma and share a favorite family photo too and send it to me. I turned around and put everything they sent along with gorgeous papers and embelishments into a precious book for Grandma to read over and over again. I cried while I made it for goodness sake and let me just say when Grandma opened it at her birthday celebration there wasn't wa dry eye in the house! Even the men commented how cool it was. I've done other similar books but this latest endeavor was priceless.

I am not a blogger *don't even own a scanner* so I've nothing I can show you but I hope that doesn't count against me.

What amazing goodies! The last scrapbook I made was just for Mother's Day. I made a 4x4 book of faces - all my mom's grandchildren. Each double layout had a huge chipboard letter for the first letter in the child's name (primas for the girls and flourishes for the boys as accents) and mini sticker letters to spell out their names along the chipboard letter. The right side had a 4x4 photo of the child's face (8 grandchildren in all). I love making mini books because they are fast and fun. I should have taken photos! I guess I need to borrow it back to photograph!

Hi Charmaine, I don't scrapbook (yet), but I do love to make cards. The latest gift of cards that I made was for my Mom on Mother's Day. Her and I share all of the card making goodies but luckily for me they are kept at my house. For this reason it makes it hard for her to make cards when she needs them. I made her 5 cards to keep at home for those occasions when she can't make her own. I think she really liked them.

I figured they could take it to work to show off their new bundle of joy and then later trim out the pages and put in a 6x6 album. If you go to my blog, you can see the many pages dated February 13th "Some more creations" I used the animal alphabet and used a describing word for each page. Great blog, check you out every day! Well I made my mother's day card and it is on my blog as well

http://heidishappystamping.blogspot.com/

But I think the one I love the bestest was one I did for her 60th birthday- I made it an accordian card. I sent to all her family friends and had them send pictures/thoughts/memories and I embellished them and put it in this card. She loved it so much that she packed it immediately in her luggage for a trip she was taking and then forgot where it was. I don't have a picture of it, should get one though as I am sure she still has that little treasure.

Hello! I made a 12x12 scrapbook for my friend that recently had a baby girl (her 4th child). She loves to scrapbook, but doesn't have time anymore to do it. Thanks! Cheryl KVD

The last scrapbook I made was for my Aunt. (I could kick myself for not taking pictures)My Uncle died from colon cancer at the young age of 44. In honor of him I walked in the relay for life and raised money for cancer research. If you have never been to a relay for life it's life changing! I took pictures of my uncle's luminarie with his name on it and our relay team. The entire event is amazing and I photographed it all and made a 5X7 book for my aunt.
Maybe next time I go visit I will take pictures of the book.

For Christmas, I started an ABC book for my nephew, using stamps, stickers, diecuts, and pictures that I had of him. I had a ton of fun, and it was a great project to use some of the miscellaneous extras I have collected over the years! I also left room to continue the book -- or complete it with pictures for letters that I didn't yet have... So much fun -- and I am now working on a similar project for my son. He already LOVES looking at the pages I have completed. Thanks!

I also made a small paper bag scrapbook to go inside the lunchbox that I filled with milestone pictures of him from his first year. Great fun!

I just finished two 8 X 8 albums for my new Step Son and new MIL. They are wedding albums. I just married my high school sweetheart after a 30+ year delay! His son was in our wedding and has been a real sweetheart. My DH's mom was very supportive of us getting back together and never gave up hope that we would. She couldn't be at the wedding so we chose her birthday, March 8th, to get married and wed did it at the High School where we met. The albums were my gifts to them for all their love and support.

BTW, WOW!!!!! on the giveaway. I've never seen this set and would FREAK out if I win!!

With all of the wedding stuff I simply did not have time to finish it before the "BIG DAY"!!! But, I'm working on it again! Anyways...
I scanned old black and white pics of my grandma and grandpa when they were dating, just married, 50th anny, etc. It kinda' reads like a "love story" since it follows them through the years. I thought that this would be a great way for my Grandma to remember the good times she had with my Grandpa since he passed away in 2003. My scrapping isn't very good, but the pics of my grandparents are awesome!!! I'll try to post pics of the pages later today!

Me and 4 friends decided to walk a 1/2 marathon. At the end, they took a picture of us. I ended up buying the picture and surprising my friends with it...I made a card using SU Big Blossom and the Circle of Friendship set...it made for a great memory!

Ooohhhh Charmaine, awesome goodies! Hmmm...I am a HUGE scrapbooker so that last one I did was for my son - I have been working on it all year long because it is a scrapbook (ended up being two)that chronicled all four years of high school. He graduates this Friday and will be giving it to him then! Alex

I am doing an on-going scrapbook for my in-laws. I did a scrapbook calendar page of my kids for each month that can be removed to put into a scrapbook. My goal is to do one for my family as well of all the grandchildren.

The last scrapbook that I made for someone was for my sisters wedding. And now I am working on a keepsake for her first little boy. Soon I'll do my mom's wedding which is this summer. I haven't even done my wedding from 10 years ago.
Thanks for all of your inspiration

Great candy Charmaine - I 've never seen these but looks like fun! The last scrapbook I did for someone was for my mom and MIL. I usually do them a year's worth of pages for Mother's Day. For obvious reasons . . . which include me not planning ahead! :) . . . I did not get them done this year!

That's easy...the last scrapbook I did was for my mom for Mother's Day. I was so late though so I had to send it out w/out taking pictures...better planning next time!

I can tell you that I'll be making a coaster scrapbook for my mom's god parents. (I haven't done it yet.) For easter, they slipped 5 dollars in a card for my kids. Which is so generous of them. So one day for lunch, we went to Little Cesears 5 dollar pizza. I photo documented the entire process of getting there, the boys buying the pizza, the DD in the car, coming home, eating the pizza...etc. So not I really better get those pix developed. This batch of goodies would be a help!!

HI! The last card I made for personal reasons was for a swap. It was using Bella stamps and I used Beachabella. (I did just get through with a Movable Card Class with 3 cards on this past Thursday: viewmaster, surprise pop up and flip flop fold) The last page I scrapped was me helping a friend scrapbook her daughter where is was dressed up like a fairy. Loved the page when we got done with it.

good question!

I'm really enjoying your blog....
I don't scrapbook but I would love to -- just don't know where to start!
But the last cards I made were Mother's Day cards-- a few for my Mother to send to her Godmothers and then I made a card for my Mom and my MIL and MIL's sister! It was a busy few weeks! :)

I am new to this whole idea of goodies, and found your blog through Fresh and Funs blog which gives me great inspiration! The last scrapbook I finished was a trip my DH and I took pre-baby to Israel. The trip was a blast and making the scrapbook really helped to solidfy the memories. The next book will be to chronical my DD's first year, I have one page finished so far and she just turned 1! Thanks for the chance on this...

The last scrapbook I made was my daughters wedding album. My mom made a scrapbook about my childhood which was a total surprise - she never scrapbooked before. It is my most favorite possession.

Hi Charmaine,

I read your blog often and get great inspiration from your work. I'm amazed at how you get so much done with your two sweet little ones at home!

I scrapbook my families activities by year and so far have 8 books done and I'm only up to 1998! (started with the birth of my 2nd daughter in 1991) I'm not sure if I'll ever be "done" but then what would I do if I were? :o)

I don't post or scan either but I sure do enjoy seeing those who do!

Wow, would you look at those awesome Oodagoodies! Right now I mainly do cards but plan on scrapping in the very near future. My last card was my Mom's Mother's Day Cards. Had to make 2 because the first one didn't suit me.

I made my last scrapbook for our son (28 yrs old). It chronicled his life from birth to age 3. I had shown him some of it earlier & he didn't really seem interested, yet several months later asked when I was going to finish it! He was so proud of it he even took it to work & showed everyone there - that's amazing! My last card was made for a friend's birthday Saturday. Thanks for the chance at such neat blog candy again!

Gosh...that is wonderful candy!
I hope I still qualify to win, even though I don't scrap.

My new hobby is making cards with a stamp club...a terrific excuse to get together with friends :)

HIYA! Wow, bringing back the memories...

The last scrapbook (and only so far) I made was to help my mum create a book in memory of their vacation together. I thought it was going to kill me...I was hugely pregnant and had a hard time sitting for the extended sessions. I knew nothing of the fiskars cutter, scoring blades, Mono adhesives...nothing... We had glue sticks, fancy papers (cut with scissors and rulers) and a few funky embellishments. I did make a layout with a bear that I ended up drawing freehand and cutting out...sigh.

That aside, I may do another one soon...I have discovered stamping and all of the tools and tricks of the trade.

My next endeavour will be to teach my 9 year old to scrapbook so she can start making her own memory scrapbook!

The last card I made was for a friend's birthday. It was a 2 pocket card. I used a tutorial posted on Paula Goff's blog "Paula Ponders". I love pocket cards and special fold cards. I used Wild Asparagus 2-sided card stock that was a pink/lavender floral. I was really pleased with the end results and my girlfriend loved it. I don't have a blog or gallery yet but I'll try to email a picture to you.

I made a set of 12 monogrammed note cards in a card portfolio for my friend in Texas that has her own stamp company. I just thought that she could use personalized note cards for notes to customers and things like that, and knew she didn't have the time to make them herself. So I made some using her favorite colors and she loved them!

The last card I made (that I sent) was to my sister for her graduation. I make cards all the time for challenges or submissions or just for fun :)

What a fun, upbeat blog you have. It is so much fun to visit.
The last card I made for someone was made with Looks like Spring and Elegant Inspirations for a fellow and his wife on the occasion of his ordination in the Catholic church. It was very moving with everyone of his five children involved and his wife as well. If I knew how to upload photos to the computer and internet I would make a duplicate and post it. But I am challenged as far as computers go. Thanks again for a fun blog.

Hey Charlie,
I'm glad I'm hitting the deadline. I don't know why I didn't see this contest earlier. I'll give it another try to win the Oodagoodies. Let's see, the last time I made a scrapbook for a gift was for my Mom for our last vacation. We had a "girls only" week at the beach and I journaled our entire week including pictures, dates, funny things and not-so-funny things that happened. She loved it and has been on me to make her another one. I hope to have it done next weekend for her. Great work on your blog. I so enjoy it!
