Hi everyone! Today I’m sharing a card I made for the Taylored Expressions Share Joy campaign! This wonderful initiative provides cards for different organizations to share with those in need. You can find out more about the newest Share Joy campaign on the Taylored Expressions Blog.
I was inspired to create this card by a couple of cards Taylor made using embossing paste (this one and this one). I had never used this medium before, so I was excited to try it! I started by making myself a "template" using the Damask Flourishes Die Set. I used white embossing paste and smeared it over top of the template. I scraped off the excess and peeled away the template. Next I sprinkled Zing Rouge Embossing Powder over the design. After heating it, this is how the design came out. Pretty cool, right? I LOVED how it turned out!
I left enough room in between the two parts of the flourishes for a sentiment to be stamped. I used a sentiment from Shade Tree Sentiments. To finish it off, I tied a little ribbon around the card. I will definitely use this technique again! I just love the dimension and texture it gives the card!
Thanks for stopping by today! If you'd like to find out more about the Share Joy Campaign and participate, head on over to the Taylored Expressions Blog for more information!
