Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Discover Your Wings & Certified Mail Art

Hello and welcome back!!  I hope you've been enjoying the sneak peeks you've been seeing the last couple of days!  Today we're back with more!  I have two projects for you today.  The first features new dies that coordinate with the previously released Discover Your Wings set.

The dies are the Discover Your Wings - Flowers and Discover Your Wings - In Flight.  I used papers from the I Heart Summer Collection from Simple Stories to create this card.  I colored the flower image from Discover Your Wings with Distress Markers and stamped it.  I did the same with the butterfly image and then I die cut them using the new coordinating dies.  I love the detail of the flower die.  I love being able to see what's behind the flowers without having to hand cut that!   :)  The sentiment was stamped on a piece die cut with the new Label Stacklets 7

The second project I have for today uses the new Certified Mail Art set.  It contains images you can use to create your own envelope design!!  I love being able to "dress up" envelopes for my cards.  The envelope I have here I created myself out of cardstock using the Envelope Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers.  I created the size envelope I needed and then just stamped away with this new set.

I used both stamp pads and markers to ink up that stamps.  For the back, I stamped and punched out the circle image, matted it on black cardstock and the attached it to the envelope to give it more of a "seal" feel.

Don't forget that the rest of the Baker's Dozen has lots to show you today too!  Don't miss the beautiful projects they're sharing!!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Wine Charms & Rock My World

Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions!  Today I have two projects to share with you.  The first uses a die set from a new collection with a wine theme!  I used the Wine Charms to create these wine charms!  When I was thinking about what to use to make the charms a little sturdier, I came up with this.  I took a scrap piece of black cardstock and just pounced the Versamark pad all over it and embossed it in silver.  I did a second coat on top to make sure it was nice and thick.  Then I die cut the charms out of the embossed cardstock.

I used some silver cording on the charms and it makes it very simple to put them on a glass. . .especially if you don't have a fancy charm loop.   I put the charm and cording around the stem and them put the charm THROUGH the cording and pulled.  So, it's kind of a little "slip knot" type attachment.

The second project I have today uses the new Rock My World set!  Rock My World is a fun new set for music lovers of all ages.  The guitar and sentiment on this card are from the set.  I also used two new dies sets on this card. . . Rock On, which coordinates with the previously released You're My Hero set and Just a Note, which has different size music notes.  I used the Rock On die as a silhouette image on this card.  The sentiment was stamped on one of the labels from the new die set, Label It

The papers are from the Sweet Girl Collection from Echo Park.  I added some pink rhinestones on the card for some bling.  This card is perfect for a young girl. . .happy, bright, sparkly and lots going on!   I hope you've enjoyed the new products we've shared today!!  All of these products will be available for purchase on Thursday, November 7th at 7am Pacific!!

Taylored Expressions November Sneak Peeks: Pockets & Pages

Welcome to Day 1 of sneak peeks for the November Release at Taylored Expressions!!  We have lots of exciting new things to show you this week, so please stay tuned!  One of the most exciting things we're introducing is the Pockets & Pages Line at Taylored Expressions!!  If you're a big fan of pocket scrapbooking (such as Snap Studio or Project Life), then you will LOVE this new product line at Taylored Expressions!  Today I'm featuring the Pockets & Pages 3x4 Photo Frame.  I started with this die to create the photos of each of my kids.  Another new product we're introducing is the Sweet & Simple Alpha and #s!!  I die cut each of my kids' names with the Sweet & Simple Alpha Lower and attached them to their picture frames.  Then I used the Sweet & Simple #s to add their ages to the left side page.

The left side page was created using other Pockets & Pages Essentials.  I used the Pockets & Pages - Bubble Out and the Pockets & Pages Bubble In for the bases.  I adhered them to white cardstock and attached the numbers and added some journaling.  The symbols are from the Pockets & Pages Essentials - 3x4 and the Pockets & Pages Essentials - 4x4 sets.

I have never done the Pocket Scrapbooking thing, but always wanted to try it and I had A LOT of fun using these products!  I'm always at a loss as to what to put for journaling on pages other than the obvious "when?" and "where?" kind of stuff. What I liked so much about this is the bubbles made me feel like I didn't have to journal this whole big paragraph. . .just a little snippet of my thoughts.  The papers I used are from the Sweet Girl Collection from Echo Park.  I used Project Life Journaling Pens for the journaling.  There are all kinds of Pocket Sleeves in the TE Store depending on the size of your book.

I hope you've enjoyed today's post!  Please visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see what they've come up with!  Thanks for stopping by and please stop back again tomorrow!

Verve October Diva Dare

The October Diva Dare is happening over on the Verve Blog.  Today is my day to share my answer to the challenge.  This month's challenge is called Tag, You're It!!  Head on over to the Verve Blog for more details on the challenge and to find out how to win!

I decided to use a tag on a card for the challenge.  I used the new Chevron Love and Holiday Treats sets.  The tag image is from Holiday Treats and I just love the chevron heart from Chevron Love.  The papers are from the Harvest Lane Collection from Simple Stories. The tag was die cut using the Tagged Rectangle Die
After I die cut, stamped and assembled the tag, I also die cut a heart from the Heart Quartet Die that fit perfectly in the center of the large heart.  The ribbon is from the Autumn Elements Ribbon Collection.  I added a little sparkler to finish off the tag and attached it to the card.  The tag can be taken off the card and used on a gift or maybe even for a bookmark.  I hope you've been inspired to create!!   Thanks for stopping by today!!

You're a Classic

Have you seen this month's Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions?  This month's set is called Instant Love and it's perfect for all you vintage lovers!  I created a feminine card using what I consider 50's and 60's colors.  When I think of a 50's diner or a Sock Hop, I think of pink and turquoise. I used papers from the Vintage Bliss Collection from Simple Stories.

I remember when I got my first "boom box" that you could record onto cassette from the radio.  My dad was a HUGE Doo Wop fan, so the oldies station was always playing on the radio when we'd be in my dad's truck.  He'd sing a long with every song and I LOVED listening to him sing.  Once I got my boom box, I used to listen to the oldies station too and hit "record" every time I'd hear a song that I liked or knew from my dad singing along.  LOL  So, this cassette on my card is my "oldies tape" from the radio.  :)   I used the coordinating Remember When Die Set on my card as well as the Medium Scallop Border Die and the Small and Medium Doily Dies

For more details on each subscription, you can visit THIS PAGE in the TE Store.   It breaks down each subscription as far as what is included and how much it costs.  Thanks for stopping by today and have a great day!
