Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 1

It's time for sneak peeks at Taylored Expressions!  I hope you're ready because boy do we have a lot to show you over the next few days!  Today, we're introducing 4 new sets!  Yep, you read right. . .FOUR!  They are Gobble Gobble, Penguin Pals, Merry Little Cocktail, and the set I'm featuring today, Hangin' Out North Pole.

If you're not already in the Christmas cardmaking spirit, the sets we'll be showing you this week will be sure to get you there!  :)  TE stamps are deeply etched rubber and come already trimmed out and on EZ Mount, so you can get right to stamping as soon as they arrive!

For my first card, I used the Whirlybird Collection from My Mind's Eye. I thought it would be great for a "different" holiday color scheme.  I colored the North Pole image with Copic markers to match the patterned paper.  I used the Labels 11 Nestabilities for the focal image.

The second card I have for you uses another darling image and sentiment in the set. . .the Santa suit!  Isn't the sentiment adorable?  I started with a piece of Choice Buttercream cardstock and embossed a square onto the card front using Plain Square Nestabilities.  I then used a smaller square die to cut and emboss a square out of red cardstock to fit in the embossed square.  I stamped the Santa suit, colored it using Copic markers and then cut it out with the Labels 7 Nestabilities

Lastly, I added the ribbon, buttons and some Stardust Stickles on the "fur" of the coat.

You won't want to miss what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has to show you!  You will love the other three sets we're showcasing today, so be sure to stop by these blogs to see them!

I really like the sweet colors on the first card - especially the way you colored the pole not just the traditional red/white. I have some of that dp from an old KI but never thought of using it for holidays! On the second card - I love how simple it is, yet how clever the layering is with the use of the spellbinders!
