Make It Monday - Frosted Images

This week's Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink is Frosted Images.  It is a pretty cool technique that I had a lot of fun playing with.  I used the Botanical Silhouettes set for this technique along with a flower I created using the Bloom Builders #3 Die.  I stamped the grass image from the set onto white cardstock in Ripe Avocado and then Fresh Snow to acheive the Frosted Images Technique.  The grass serves as a background to the flower.

For the flower, I die cut two complete sets. . .one in Ocean Tides and one in Aqua Mist and alternated them when creating the flower.  The photo doesn't show it very well, but the flower has a really nice varigated look due to alternating the colors layer by layer.  I created the leaves for the flower with a circle punch and then I ran them through my Cuttlebug with the Book Print Impression Plate.  I die cut a piece of Kraft cardstock using the Photo Finish Strips Die and stamped the sentiment on it.  Finally, I added some pearls and a glitter border to the card.

You can see more creations using this technique here.  Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!  SUPPLIES USED:  Stamps- Botanical Silhouette (PTI); Ink- Ripe Avocado, Fresh Snow (PTI), Onyx Black (Versafine); Paper- Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Kraft, Polka Dot Parade (PTI); Accessories- Bloom Builders #3 Die, Book Print Impression Plate, Photo Finish Strips Die (PTI);  Finished card measures 4.25"x5.5"
