Candy Box

I came across this box I made a year ago or so. It was supposed to be for favors for my sister's wedding shower, but when we realized just how LONG they took to make (and oh, the cutting!), we went with something much simpler. I thought I'd share this with you, though. I found a stamp for the box at a rubber stamp show that was in town at the time and I just HAD to have it. It's by Inky Antics! They actually still sell the stamp, and you can find it here. (Edited to add: The link doesn't take you to the actual stamp for whatever reason, so if you want to order it or see it, put the number X2-2940 in the search box, and it will bring it up.) It's a really neat box, and makes a GREAT little gift to put candies in, but I wouldn't advise it if you're making a large number of them because it just takes a bit of time. I've taken pictures to show you what you're supposed to do. You're supposed to stamp the image three times. . .one is the full image (I've actually stamped the image so you could see the full image), the second time you stamp, you should mask out the window, and the third time, you only need the bottom two sections of the stamp to make the flap cover. I tried to get a close up of those pictures that are on the top of the stamp (see last picture). Anyway, I forgot I even made this and that I had the stamp, so when I came across it, it was a nice refresher of some other kind of gift item I could make. . .almost like having NEW stuff! :) Thanks for visiting and have a GREAT day!

This is too cute! I agree that it would be a lot of work if you are making a large number, but making a few here or there wouldn't be bad! Thanks for sharing!

That would be nice to make a few (when I am having an ambitious moment or if I'm having the girls over to craft) and save them for last minute gifts. Thanks!
