Fruity Faux Ribbon

I got my Faux Ribbon set in the mail from Papertrey Ink last Wednesday, but this is the first I've had time to play with it. Not to mention the fact that I really don't have any acrylic blocks that are long enough for the "ribbon" stamps. I had to improvise with a clear pencil case-type box. I have to say that creating with this set doesn't come as easy to me as Butterfly Kisses or Green Thumb did. I think it's because the images you're creating with this set (other than the sentiments, of course) are the "embellishments", and not the focal point, if that makes sense. I have to play a little more and see, but I have to totally think differently to use this set. Anyone else get this set and find that you have "stamper's block"? LOL I used what I call my "fruity" VersaMagic Dewdrops. . .Mango, Persimmon, Key Lime and Pink Grapefruit. They look like a real fruit salad! Adding the Jumbo Java (dark brown) made it look less edible! :) I'm going to keep plugging away with this set and see what I come up with! Thanks for visiting and have a beautiful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Faux Ribbon; Ink- VersaMagic Dew Drops in Mango, Persimmon, Key Lime, Pink Grapefruit and Jumbo Java; Paper- DCWV white, grapefruit and dark brown, SU Gable Green; Accessories- circle punches, paper piercer, Making Memories brads.

Great job Charmaine - I am having the same problem though!! I think maybe I'm trying too hard??? I don't know, I love the set and love what Nicole & friends have done but thinking "outside the lines" is harder with this one! Love your colors!

I'm really drawn to the simplicity of this card and think that in time it will become one of your favorite sets to use. Sometimes the best projects come out of having to think outside the box! Fabulous job!

I love the colors you used. This set did seem to me like it might be a little harder to use but I like what you did with it. Way to go!

too cute! I got stitches from TAC and had to order a long block to use them...but it truly makes a difference. I'm going to see about that ribbon set you got - too cute!
