This may sound like a bit of a downer, but Christmas was very special to me this year because my son is no longer drinking. Yes, he's been sober for months now and I am more grateful than I can say.
thanks for the oodgoodies and happy new year to all!

My favorite part of Christmas this year was attending the Christmas Eve worship service together as a family. After that, we enjoyed driving around town to look at Christmas lights.

My favorite part of Christmas is being with family. This year I spent Christmas day with my husband and sons. Then the day after we traveled to N.C. to see my mom, brother, niece, nephew-in-law, and my two great-nieces. I always feel so complete when we are all together.

My favorite part of Christmas this year was watching my sons open their gifts. Isaac (great name) is really into Christmas this year and loved helping everyone open their gifts, while the baby just wanted to play in the paper.

I have to say that my favorite part of Christmas this year was when it was OVER! My son (2 yrs), my daughter (6 mo), and I were all sick with the same cough, stuffy nose, thing and we were all pretty miserable. To top it off my 2-year old is being a typical "terrible" two! Sooo....we tried to hang low and get through it! My hubby was a trooper - I can't believe that he survived all of us! "_

The best part of Christmas was
being with family. We all live
all over Ontario and it was nice
to be able to have Christmas
dinner together. We can not all
get together very often anymore
so it was wonderful having everyone together again.

The best part of Christmas this year was that my brother was home after 11 years abroad. I haven't seen my mom so happy in a long time and my children were super pleased too :)

Our whole family slept in and just relaxed for the morning of Christmas. It was unusual, but it was really peaceful. The boys woke up late and leisurely opened their gifts! Then we got on our way to visiting. We spent the day with both of our families and treasured every minute.

I hope you & your family have a wonderful New Year's Eve!

Christmas is always fun around here from decorating, to baking, to gift making to watching the excitement on the kid's face when they come downstairs to see that Santa visited, it's all good!

Hello Charmaine,

Wow, I have never done something like this before. It's a might bit exciting. =)

Let's see, my favorite part of Christmas this year along side all the glittering in my g-babies eyes!

Well we had very little this year and I wasn't sure what to do for our little ones.

I had a bunch of composition books and so I thought that I would alter them to match their personalities and favorite things.

My mom and passed the books onto my niece & nephew. When I talked with her later Christmas day I asked her how things went and she told me that my nephew who is almost 6 was absolutley excited about that simple little book decorated for him. I was sure being a boy, he would just toss it aside.

She said that as soon as he opened it he started writing in it and didn't stop for an hour LOL. Yes at 5 he can write and play the guitar....

My favorite part of Christmas is and has always been God and how he blesses us even in the very littlest of things when we seek to please him and when we use the talents that he has blessed us with.

Hugggs,
Debi

The best part of Christmas to be with family and to watch the joy of the grandkids opening their presents and finding what they asked for. The best Christmas was when we had a family friend dress up as Santa and deliver new puppies on Christmas Eve. The look of sheer disbelief when they opened the door and Santa was there was priceless.
