I wanted to ask for your help with my niece's Kindergarten Class Project. They are participating in a project called Hearts Across America. They would like to get a Valentine from each of the fifty states. They will have a map of all the states and as they get a Valentine from each state, they will color that individual state in on the map.
Their project centers on one of their social studies standards of learning where the students will use simple maps, globes, and other three-dimensional models to become aware of the physical shapes of states. They feel that receiving Valentines from each state will reinforce this concept.
In order for this project to be successful, they need your help. Please send Becca's class a Valentine from your state. They will be looking forward to receiving your Valentines, and I would be VERY appreciative if you could help them out! Please make sure that they receive them before February 14.

I'll send one from Nebraska! I'll even send it to the post master in Valentine, NE and have them mail it off! They have a special stamp that they use to cancel postage this time of year! Very festive!!!

I will be happy to send them one from Indiana! I have some Valentine cards leftover from last year and was going to use the rest of them this year along with some that I am making, but will be glad to go ahead and get one in the mail to them. Glad to help!

That sounds like so much fun & they will be receiving one from Washington state from my little granddaughter, Gabrielle, who is also a kindergartener. I will tell her about Becca and her classes project, and I know that she will be so thrilled to know that this kindergarten class clear across the USA was able to color in our State because of her Valentine:)
