Polka Dot Bliss

Have you been checking out the Verve Blog? There's a delicious inspiration piece that we're creating projects from this month and if you're a fan of pink and brown, you might want to check it out! The inspiration photo reminded me of a 1950's soda shop. When I think of the 1950's and soda shops and sock hops, I also think of polka dots. That's where my inspiration started. I used my Welcome Baby Cuttlebug folder for the Pink Pirouette cardstock. The three different sized flowers are from the Grateful Elegance set, and the sentiment is from the Beautiful You set. The last bit of "frill" was the Threading Water border punch and the organdy ribbon.

Make sure you head on over to the Verve Blog and post a creation of your own! You could win $15 in Verve Bucks! Check out this post! Can't wait to see your creations! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Beautiful You, Grateful Elegance (Verve Stamps); Ink- Whisper White Craft (SU), Dark Brown (Fluid Chalk Ink); Paper- Pink Pirouette (SU), Dark Chocolate (Papertrey Ink), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Threading Water border punch (Fiskars), Welcome Baby Cuttlebug Folder (Provocraft), organdy ribbon (Darice), paper piercer; Finished card measures 4.25" square

Your embossed polka dot BG and scalloping go together so well, maybe it's the convex/concave effect or maybe its because you really nailed this card. Whatever it is, it makes me happy. You did a wonderful job.
