Welcome to Day 1 of the March Sneak Peeks at Taylored Expressions!! We have lots to show you over the next few days, so please continue to stop back! I have two projects to share today and the first uses the NEW Shade Tree Sentiments set. Shade Tree Sentiments coordinates with the previously released Shade Tree Cutting Plate.
The sentiments fit perfectly under the branches of the cutting plate. For my card I used the Kneehighs Collection from Basic Grey. After using the Shade Tree Cutting Plate on the green cardstock, I trimmed the patterned papers to fit perfectly behind the tree, following the curves. The sentiment was stamped and embossed in white onto black cardstock. As a finishing touch, I added some Beetle Black Doodle Twine to balance out the sentiment.
For my second project, I used the NEW Neighborhood Border Die. This is a fun, new border die!! You can die cut it multiple times and create a city! I kept my card simple. I used patterned paper from the Sweet Girl Collection from Echo Park. I die cut the neighborhood out of black cardstock using the Neighborhood Border Die. I mounted it over the patterned paper with foam tape.
Next I used the Large Scallop Border Die for the top of the card. The banner and sentiment is from another new set coming out this month called Welcome Home. Welcome Home has its own coordinating die set called Build a House, which is what the banner die is from.
Please be sure to visit the rest of the Baker's Dozen to see more of what's being released Thursday, March 6th!!
