Color the World

Hi there!   Today I have a card that inspired by two different pins I found on Pinterest!  The first is this lovely card by Taylor and the second is this beautiful card by Kay.  On Taylor's card, I was inspired by the flowers that she die cut out of different colors.  I tend to either use these dies and either color the stem and flower to look like a normal flower, or I "paper piece" the die cut to make it more than one color.  I decided the solid colored die cut flowers would give the card a modern feel and I liked that!

On Kay's card, I was inspired by the sponged background that gave such a nice, soft feel to the card.  I combined these two elements to come up with my card.  I used the Silhouette Stems 2 die and die cut the flower out of Candy Corn, Granny Smith, Oreo and Lollipop cardstock.  After I sponged the background of the card with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink and then added droplets of a blue and gold spray mist.  Next I attached the die cut flowers and them stamped and embossed the sentiment from The World Is Waiting in white.

I hope you've been inspired!  Thanks for stopping by today and have a wonderful day!
