Oodagoodies!!

I know it has been LONG overdue, but I was organizing my craft space and realized that I never gave this away! A while ago, I won Melanie's complete Hippy Hoppy Collection on GinaK's blog. I already had two of the sets, so guess who benefits from that? YOU! That's right! Just leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing you've done this summer. You have until Wednesday, July 23 at 10am EST. I'll select a random winner and post the winner shortly after. Good luck and thanks for visiting!

My favorite thing this summer is coming up in a couple of weeks. My brother and his family come east from California every summer and leave my nieces with my father for a couple of weeks after they go home. I always take them for a weekend, and they LOVE making cards! They sure would love this set, too!

Nothing exciting here this summer I'm afraid to say. I have been really enjoying the CHA reports, of course, wishing I could have been there. Thanks for sharing with us.

Haven't done it yet, but I hope to drive to Austin to visit our best friends. They moved there a few months ago and we miss them terribly!

This looks like a great fun set. Because of the high fuel costs.. we've been staying local. We've explored more of Idaho's landmarks and fishing/camping spots. Its been alot of fun.

What a cute set!! My vacation is next week so that will soon be my favorite "thing" :) but for now... the best thing I've done this summer is take a duck tour in my city (1st time!) on my bday and I got to drive it while it was in the water. That was very cool!

my favorite thing so far this summer has been the fourth of july and the same weekend my 10 year class reunion. it was nice to see everyone again and we still knew how to have fun even after to kids!! we turned in earlier than we use to but what a blast!!!

My fave things are still to come - my mom's 60th birthday party and going camping with my family. Thanks for the chance to win!

I love this set! I enjoy your blog and your creations. You are very talented! TFS

My favorite thing to this summer is 4-wheeling on the mountain. My DH and I take our 4 kids (one 5-year old and 3-year old triplets) camping and 4-wheeling a lot. It's the best!!

Believe it or not, my favourite thing this summer is the fact that my DH had his ankle fusion surgery on July 11th. It had originally been scheduled for Oct. 31st. He has severe degenerative arthritis in his right ankle and was in a lot of pain. Recuperation will be lengthy with no weight bearing for several weeks. Having the surgery in the summer means he can wear shorts and I don't have to cut up his jeans etc. to fit over the large cast he has on. This just might be the most original favourite summer event that is posted to your blog. Thanks for giving me the chance to win some blog candy. As a fairly new "card maker" I can use all the stash I can get!

i got a job...doesn't sound too fun, but it DOES mean i can buy more stamps n paper! LOL

It's been a quiet summer so far but a vacation on Cape Cod is coming up:) I rather like quiet summers - I sit on my deck and read rubberstamp and papercraft magazines.

Thank you for offering this cute set from Gina K. I'd love to win it! It makes me smile when I remember a card you created with it - where the hips move - too cute!!!

What a fun question! I just moved and started a new job, so no summer vacation for me. That said, I think my favorite activities this summer have been weekend get-togethers with family and friends for holidays and birthdays.

My favorite thing about this summer has been being able to sit around, relax, and have fun by the pool. I'm a teacher and there's just not time to do that during the school year!! I've made plenty of time to stamp also!! Hope I can win that candy ;) Thanks, Charmaine!

Michelle W. said...

I'm a teacher so I've been taking it easy this summer. I've had lots of time to stamp and relax, which I have really enjoyed! My time off is almost over, just 2 1/2 more weeks to go.

Amy said...

I'm a teacher and so I really do get summer off! I have had two favorites! 1 - spending lots of time with my 2 year old! 2 - having friends over to stamp EVERY Wednesday. It has been great.

My favorite thing I've done this summer would be the impromptu beach trip my husband I took one weekend. We only stayed one night, but it was awesome to be away from all of the normalcy at home and to just look at the ocean...

Thanks for the chance to win!

Hi Charmaine! I think this set is just sooooo cute! You're so very generous to be giving it away! Even though the summer is still young, my favorite thing we've done so far is: My oldest son Ryan was dying to go to Dairy Queen "as a family". Well, we all had a nice lunch together and then took the kids (I have a 2 year old and 7 year old) to the park to run off the ice cream. I brought a blanket along and my husband and I hung out on the blanket watching the kids play. It was fantastic.
Hope you're having a wonderful summer yourself!

OMGosh, I so wish I can have this set. I would love to have a Melanie stamp set.
My favorite thing this summer. We have done a lot but not much I would have liked to have done.
We did take a nice trip to Lake Tahoe, we have my brother's wedding to go to at the end of August that I am looking forward to.

OK where I live it is winter right now, not summer, but we still have such lovely weather here that it can't really be classed as winter in the true sense of the word. My DD turns 21 this month and in South Africa that is the coming of age for a child and is THE big birthday. Yesterday we had the official birthday party and she invited 16 friends over to go for a micro lite flight! Very scary, but very exhilirating!! One of the things that should be on your 100 things to do before I die list!

My favortie part of summer will be this weekend. My brothers and I are outting a pond with rustic wood surrounding it. Along with flowerbeds and and a few more "rusic" style things to match. The pond was started in my Dad's yard and he was working on it shortly before he passed away. SO it will be in honor of my Dad and set up according to the plans that he made up!

What a cute stamp set! Thank you for giving us a chance to try it out! My favorite thing has to be the beach day our family had last weekend. Since we live on the gulf side of FL, it is usually pretty tame. But there was a storm brewing in the gulf so the waves were up & the kids just loved it! Even though I got the sunburn of a lifetime, it was fun watching them enjoy themselves so much!

Alex said...

Oooh, Charmaine - I LOVE this set and don't have it!!! That hippo is so dang cute, how nice and generous of you to share!! My best part of this summer was my oldest child coming home from college, since I had not seen him since Christmas! We spent a week out on the lake living on the houseboat, and it was wonderful family time! He has gone back now, and I really miss him but loved the time we spent together!!

Thanks for this great give away, it is really kind of you. My favorite and special occasion - my mom is visiting my family from Central Asia. It's been three years since I've seen my family, many wonderful and sad things happened since then. Among them - passing of my dear grandparents, arrival of my fifth nephew and one of the most exciting events - my son was born two years ago. Since we could not travel to see my family, my mom finally decided to come and stay with us for a couple of weeks. It is her first time in New York and her first time meeting her grandson. Although it can be overwhelming at times, we try to spend as much time together and our days are filled with joy and excitement. I am so thankful we have this opportunity to reconnect and for my son to get to know his grandma. So my favorite thing this summer - making special memories. Best,

I think my favorite thing is just spending time with my family , away from the crazy schedules and busyness of the school year. Our children are 20 and 17 and usually going in different directions. Our 20 year old is away at college during the school year and our 17 year old is very busy with high school and her friends. So just having a meal together or going to a movie or taking a walk together is very special. They grow up so fast!
Thanks for the chance to win the Ginak stamps, very cool! I love your blog ! Thanks for all of the inspiration.

Well, this doesn't sound too fun, but it is the only out of the ordinary thing that has happened this summer - I got a new John Deere zero-turning-radius mower - and after all these years of using a riding mower on my lawn, I had to learn anew how to drive a riding mower. The learning curve is fairly steep, but by the time I finished mowing my front and back yards (about 2 hours), I think I finally had a good working knowledge of that mower. Although I will probably have to relearn when I mow again tomorrow!! That's about as fun as it is around my house this summer! LOL!!!

My favorite thing I've done this summer is take my kids swimming. Well, my first thought was "potty training" because it has been going so well. But I haven't really "done" that myself. So I would have to say that making Raspberry Jam was favorite thing that I have done so far this summer!

While this is not necessarily my favorite thing ever I potty trained and not my little girl to swim. Both have in turn made the summer so much more enjoyable. Thanks for the generous offer.

This summer several of my friends and I vowed to stamp together at least once a month. Our schedules ususally conflict and we made a special effort to get together. It has been a great time. Seeing someone elses ideas and passion can get you excited all over again for stamping. Also, in September my husband and I are going to Las Vegas. That is always fun. Thanks for the opportunity to win, love that Hippy Hoppy set.

Every Thursday, a nearby town celebrates Market Fest with bands, food vendors, childrens games and a petting zoo.
I enjoy visiting with friends, browsing the stores, buying cotton candy and listening to the music.

I went on retreat with the kids at church and just really had a great time with them; so far, it's definitely the highlight of my summer!

Thanks for the chance to win!

The best thing about summer has been just spending time with my family. My baby graduated and we had a wonderful party for him with great food, family and fun. Thanks for the chance to win a great stamp set.

Thanks for sharing!! My fav thing has been taking the kids to the pool along with supplies for me to work on my cards...poolside!! I don't spend any time in the water so it's been nice to work on cards and get a ton done!

I would have to say the summer has been nice with a new dog and we have spent time at the doggie park. My DH and dog have had some fun times.

We were able to visit my parents this summer. They live 6 hours away so we don't get to see them that often. While there I took a class at Archiver's (with no children)! IT was so fun! Thanks for sharing your goodies!

we have had a crazy summer but the best thing...we found a new church home! We have also had a lot of fun doing around town sight seeing, it is amazing how we take the local stuff for granted!
