Be Inspired #21

I LOVED the colors when I saw this inspiration piece from Beate, so I stuck with those when creating my card. I used the Dancing Stockings stamp from The Artful Stamper. I embossed the image with gold embossing powder and then colored them in with Copic markers. NOTE: I don't know if it was my embossing powder, or if it happens with all of them, but the Copic markers "rubbed off" the embossing. I didn't know this would happen, so after the first stocking, I colored carefully around the embossing! :) Just FYI! I used the Christmas Ornaments Cuttlebug folder on the background, and the sentiment is from the Crystalline clear stamp set from Penny Black. All of these stamps (as well as the ribbon) can be found at Stamper's Dream.

Make sure you visit Beate, Danielle Lounds, Dawn McVey, Jennifer Buck, Silke Ledlow and Susan Roberts to see what beautiful things they've been inspired to create! Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful day! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Dancing Stocking (The Artful Stamper), Crystalline (Penny Black); Ink- Versamark; Paper- Kiwi Kiss, Tangerine Tango (SU), yellow (DCWV), white (Georgia-Pacific); Accessories- Copic markers, gold embossing powder, Christmas Ornaments Cuttlebug folder (Provocraft), satin ribbon (May Arts); Finished card measures 5.5"x4.25"

What an absolutely beautiful card! I had that same thing happen when I embossed and then colored with my COPICS so I haven't tried it since then.

Very cute card! I've had that problem with the embossing "dissolving" with Copics...I guess we just have to be careful!
