Make It Monday - Impression Plate Tricks #2

This week's Make It Monday Challenge at Papertrey Ink is to use your impression plates along with a die to "leave a space" in the impression.  I used the Picnic Plaid Impression Plate along with the Alpha-blocks Die to create my card.  I started with some Simply Chartreuse cardstock and ran it through my Cuttlebug with the impression plate and die in place.  Then I stamped letters from the Alpha-blocks set in Fresh Snow ink to say "Hey You" in the spaces that the die left in the Picnic Plaid impression.

I rounded the corners and adhered this piece to a white card base and added some stitching along the left edge.  I love how this technique adds that something extra to a simple card.  You can find what other participants created here.  Thanks for stopping by!

Great way to spotlight the technique. I definitely have to add the Alpha Block stamps and dies to my list. But I do have the Take Three die...maybe I could scraplift the idea and adapt it. Worth a try!!

Simple, slick, but oohhhh so cool, Charmaine! Your impression plate and Alpha Block combo is perfection (as is your stamping!!) Love that green with the white, so cheerful and fresh!
