Happy Birthday
I'm starting to build up my stock of birthday cards again. For a while, I didn't have as many birthday cards as I thought I did! :( Isn't it funny how you usually have cards for every occasion but what you actually need at a given moment? LOL Anyway, the card I have to share today is a birthday card. It uses the February Stamp of the Month from Taylored Expressions called Birthday Bash. I also used the coordinating die set, which is called Party Time.
I used papers from the Yours Truly Collection from Pebbles for my card. I started by die cutting the presents out of different patterns of paper. I die cut the bows out of cardstock and adhered them to the packages. I stamped and die cut the party hat and stamped and hand cut the stars and arranged those and the curly cues around the packages. All of the pieces were placed on a piece die cut with the Bloomin' Stacklets 1. The sentiment was stamped and die cut using the Label It Die Set.

February Verve Diva Dare
This month's Diva Dare is going on over at the Verve Blog. Today is my day to share how I interpreted the dare. I decided to use an old favorite set of mine called Delightful & Delicious. The papers are from the Fabulous Collection from Simple Stories. I stamped the "coffee & friends" piece and cut it out. I cut various hearts using the Jotted Heart Die and the Heart Quartet Die. I added a border of hearts using the Scalloped Trim Trio.
To embellish a little, I added some ribbon from the Summer Sailing Ribbon Collection. Finally I added some "pearls" using a pearl pen. Come play along with this month's dare! You can find all of the details HERE.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you choose to accept the dare! ;)

Sending You HUGE Hugs!
I have a card today that is for someone who needs some big hugs. I love to send a card when I can't be there for a real hug. I know it's not a replacement, but I think it will at least put a smile on this person's face and let them know I'm thinking of them. :) It uses the Love Makes the World Go Round set from Taylored Expressions. I think this little penguin is super cute! The papers are from the Bundled Up Collection from Crate Paper.
I used the Layering Doily Die Medium to "frame" the focal piece. I die cut two doilies then staggered them. I really like the look of them layered. I LOVE the little hearts within the scalloped edge. The image was stamped and colored with Copic markers. I added some Stardust Stickles to the igloo to give it some sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by today! I hope you're staying warm wherever you are! Have a wonderful day!

TE February Stamp of the Month
I also LOVE the little curly streamer-looking things that come in the die set! They add "instant party" to the card, don't you think? LOL For the sentiment, I used the Band-It Die. Along the bottom of the card, I used a piece die cut with the Curly Border Die.

Taylored Expressions February Release Day: EggStra Special
All of the new products we've been featuring this week are NOW AVAILABLE in the TE Store!! I hope you've enjoyed all of the sneak peeks this week. I have one more project for you today. It uses the NEW EggStra Special set.
Instead of coloring the image in bright Easter colors, I decided to create a more elegant looking card using this set. I stamped and embossed the image in black and then colored spots in with a white colored pencil. The background was created using the NEW Retro Cutting Plate. I just LOVE how this cutting plate gives such an elegant feel to a card. The sentiment was stamped onto black cardstock with white craft ink and then embossed in white. It was die cut with a die from the Make It Memorable set.
The rest of the Baker's Dozen has another project to share with you today as well! Thanks for visiting all week and HAPPY SHOPPING!!

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peeks: Doodle Alphabet and Wispy Wishes
Welcome back for Day 3 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions! Are you enjoying the peeks so far? I hope so! Today I have two projects to share with you. The first uses the NEW Doodle Alphabet! I created a set of bookmarks using the Doodle Alphabet along with the NEW Easter Treat Toppers.
I stamped letters in the Doodle Alphabet to spell "smile" and colored them in Spring colors using Copic markers. I die cut the tulips and butterfly in different colors using the Easter Treat Toppers. Then I paper pieced them together to get the multi-colored images. Once I attached them to the tops of the bookmarks, I added Stardust Stickles all over them to give them a nice sparkle. As a finishing touch, I added some faux stitching on the bookmarks.
My second project today uses the NEW Wispy Wishes set along with the coordinating die set, Wispy Feathers. The background of the card uses the NEW Ruffle My Feathers Cutting Plate. After I die cut the background piece, I pulled the little "tabs" up to add to the "ruffling my feathers" effect. :)
I stamped the feathers in white craft ink on black cardstock and embossed them in white and then die cut them using the Wispy Feathers Die. After I embossed them, I colored portions of the feathers with colored pencils to add some color. The sentiment was stamped onto a piece die cut using the Band-It Die. I finished the card by tying some Baker's Twine around the top.
Stop by and see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has to show you today! And remember, tonight is the Facebook Preview Party if you're interested in seeing the full sets before they are available for purchase tomorrow morning!

Taylored Expressions February Sneak Peek: Easter Treat Toppers
Welcome back for Day 2 of sneak peeks for Taylored Expressions' February Release!! Today I have a project for you featuring the Easter Treat Toppers. This is the newest in the line of treat topper dies in the TE store.
For my project, I started with the NEW Wicker Pocket Die and created a little treat for Easter using some Choice Kraft cardstock. I die cut the little peep topper four times out of different colored cardstock and then paper pieced it to get the multi-colored image. I added a little grass using the Grass Border Die as well. Isn't that little peep so cute? I just LOVE it! The sentiment is from the NEW Big Bold Easter set.
I stuffed the little pocket with some green filler. . .and it's ready to add a little treat!! I tied some Light Pink/White Baker's Twine around the pocket to finish it off.
I hope you've enjoyed today's sneak peek! Be sure to check out what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has to show you today!
