Scallops

This was for today's Ways To Use It Challenge on SCS, Scallops. This was pretty easy for me because I LOVE scallops. . .the scallop punches, scissors and the scallops you can make with the slit punch. For this card, I used the Giga Scallop Oval punch and my slit punch to make the scallops along the bottom of the card. I'm not real crazy about the colors on this card, but I pulled from my scrap bin and tried not to cut any new paper. I haven't used my Cuttlebug embossing folders in a while either, so I pulled out the Bubbles folder. I thought it went well with the dots on the flower. I watercolored the main image with an Aquapainter, but I wish I would have used my Prismacolor pencils and gamsol. I couldn't keep the colors from bleeding everywhere, and they're not as vibrant as I would like them to be. Smaller images are harder for me to watercolor. I don't know about you! Thanks for stopping by! SUPPLIES USED: Stamps- Ladybug Picnic, Three For You punch box; Paper- DCWV coral, lime and grey, Whisper White; Ink- Cameo Coral, Gable Green, Green Galore, Bordering Blue, Ruby Red, Yo Yo Yellow, Going Grey, Basic Black; Accessories- white gel pen, Sakura Stardust gel pen, Aquapainter, Giga Scallop Oval punch, Mega Oval punch, paper piercer, Three For You punch, Making Memories brads, ribbon from Doodliedoo, slit punch, Going Grey marker.

Another cute one - the smaller images are hard - especially when my aquapainters get spread out from use. Sometimes I use a tiny watercolor brush for detail, but then I don't have prismas. Love the bubble cuttlebug folder, that'll have to be my next purchase - along with half the new SU catty!! :)

This card is great. I like the texture of the embossing--I always forget to pull mine out.

I finally got my catalog, and I am off to view it now.

The colors are great, I have trouble with smaller images also, but think that is due to my old eyes.
