Taylored Expressions Sneak Peek - Day 2

Can you believe it's September already?!  I can't!  But today brings peeks of more new products from Taylored Expressions!  The Baker's Dozen has some more fabulous stuff to show you today!  Today we're introducing the Belated Birthday A la Cartes!  They are adorable images with "punny" sentiments that were concepted by our very own Jami Sibley and illustrated by the same pen as our Apple Doodle Ink line!

Today I'm showing you two of the Belated Birthday A la Cartes, Belated Birthday - Fashionably Late and Belated Birthday - Little Behind.  First up, Belated Birthday - Fashionably Late
For my first project, I have a little card and treat combo.  First of all, isn't that hippo the cutest?  I stamped her onto Choice Snow White cardstock and cut her out using the Take Note Die 3.  I colored her in using Copic markers.  The paper is from the Make a Wish Project Pantry

The inside of the card reads "I'm just fashionably late.  Hope it was great!"  Too cute!

So, how did I create the little "fashionable" treat purses in the set?  Well, I used the same Take Note Die 3!

First I cut two pieces of cardstock using the die.  Then, I lined the point of the die cut piece up on the 4.25 inch mark of my Scor-Pal and then scored on either side. . .at 4 and 4.5.
Fold on the score lines and then add adhesive where you're going to put your handles.

I cut strips of paper out of the same cardstock.  The strips are approx. 1/4" x 5.5".  I attached them over the adhesive.

Then I put a glue dot on both sides of a little package of Starburst or Sweetarts Chews Taffy (or any candy about that size) and "closed" the purse!  I also pushed up the little tabs on the sides and added a button to each!
My next project is a card using the Belated Birthday - Little Behind set.  Another "too cute" image and sentiment!
This card also uses the Make a Wish Project Pantry along with the Big Scalloped Ovals Large.  I colored the image using Copic markers as well.

Hope you've enjoyed what I've showed you today!  Be sure to see what the rest of the Baker's Dozen has to show you too!
