This was for today's Sketch Challenge on SCS. You'll notice I used colors from my least used color family again. . .Bold Brights. The actual inspiration for this card came from the shirt my daughter Savannah was wearing. It really reminded me of the flower from the Do the Hula set. I have never used that set before, and Savannah's shirt made me pull it out! For the background flowers, I stamped them in Whisper White Craft ink and then used a sponge dauber to put Only Orange pastel over top of parts, a technique known as Poppin' Pastels. I stamped the sentiment in Only Orange on Only Orance cardstock and cut carefully around it. Then I mounted it with dimensionals over top of the flower and triangle piece. The sketch challenge was a little out of my comfort zone since I don't do well with triangle shapes, but it seemed to come together pretty easily. It's definitely a different layout for me! Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!
